Double posting. Better posting follows this one.
The Denobulan morphs and textures have been uploaded to sharecg. The textures are for the face and eyes only. For the rest of the body you will need to have Mylochka's Vulcan textures. The textures will work on Genesis, Genesis 2 using the UV maps for V4 and M4. There are no textures for Genesis 3 as the UVs are incompatible at the present time. If someone wants to convert them to Genesis 3, feel free (and please share if you do so). Enjoy!

Can anyone direct me to a good tutorial for converting Bridge Commander files over to an obj? I've found a converter that uses blender and I can't get blender to find the plugin no matter how hard I try. I was considering using the Mnemosyne Class instead of the Galaxy but I can't get any of the converters to work right.
So I bought the Yamato bridge to go along with Bridge 8 since I really did like the look of the Generations bridge and was feeling lazy and I had a coupon, but when I went to drop it in to use the turbolifts from Bridge 8, I found out that the Yamato bridge is a bit... smaller. The chairs are to scale with bridge 8, but all the consoles are a bit smaller and the bridge itself acually fits entirely inside bridge 8, so my turbolift plan is... not going to work. Scaling it up won't quite work either as the bridge is shaped slightly differently as well. I'm a little disappointed but I really do like the look of the bridge.
I don't remember off hand. Are they .mod or .nif files?
nif files.
Then you need NifScope to convert them:
http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/NifSkope
Awesome. That worked. And unfrotunately I'd have to do a complete rebuild on that mesh because they basically used textures for everything including windows and so on which would be fine for distance shots but up close renders are compeltely out.
Thanks anyway! This gives me a few more options.
You're welcome.
They all look great!
Love the covers and the way you can instantly tell the last one is much later after the first two.
Decided to do a character sheet for Tahira. She has been my favorite to work on.
PD Smith,
I love the DOF and lighting in this image. I find my self drawn to the Andorian girl. Beautiful work!!!

Very much like the textures for the outfits too, matty. Are these on the list already, PD? ;)
Btw, is that the mechgirl suit the andorian is wearing?
A little OT - there may be a forum link for the Christmas giveaways but haven't found it yet. Notice arrived via email.
Very Temporarily available so at least "buy" if interested, download when you want to.

Thank you for the kind words.
So here is the list that answers the questions.
All the characters are G2 series but the Uniform is Genesis's outfit Defiant. It's like 1.99 here on DAZ and given that it's designed for males and female it's a one size fits all. Really wish there was a male/female outfit that shared the same textures for uniforms for the G2/G3 series of figures. The military prides it self on a uniform (same likeness) appearance.
The texture is part of a series I started with GeorgeHaze and ShadowhawkOne: The Generation Beyond.
"The Next Generation were fine for their time but now we're A Generation Beyond!"
For Defiant - http://pdsmith.deviantart.com/art/Generation-Beyond-Uniform-Texure-Addon-for-Genesis-447299349 And for the M4/V4 (couragious/Valient) I made a matching set, hosted by my brother.

the rank pin is by GeorgeHaze (A little futzing to get them in place)

Bonus item... Holographic Tricorders for it are here too:

The Andorian is indeed wearing the Mechgirl outfit but for the leg and hip I recoloured her skin black and made it more latex like to appear protective.
Now the draw back...the lighting is all due to Luxrender's unique ability to modifiy lighting while the image renders. This gave me the chance to see things, and fintune as the image progressed.
This feature is one I strongly believe should be placed at the top of the list with Iray.
Starting and stoping a render for light checks should be a thing of the past.
lastly. the Generation Beyond logo (created by GeorgeHaz) is a gif with a blank background so may be used as a water mark if so desired. (if Daz's forum program hasn't changed or locked the gif.)
Well, now at least there's a suit out for Gen2/Gen3, the HFS Wraith suit, but thanks for the links. :) I sort of stopped using V4/M4 and almost solely work in Iray now, so Gen2 suits me just fine. So these are going to come in handy as standard, as the Wraith suit is probably just usable as a battle armor or EVA suit.
Since I am going from a Defiant class bridge (heavily tweaked in Iray to obtain a steampunk feeling) the uniform has to be non-standard anyway.
Note that the final version of the bridge is still undergoing changes, but here's what I have so far to give you an idea:
One key thing I've noted with Iray and most sets, especially those from Vanishingpoint. Lower the Glossy setting on everything down to 5 to 10%, that will remove the mirror/high gloss shine on everything.
I like the look of your set, if I may suggest, add some random brass bars on the ground and overhead. just lay them there, who cares if they are a trip hazard. Maybe a few bars sticking up from the consolses. Go cliche!
Scatha, interesting monitors in the scene, really like the different colors of the galaxies/stars. It's fun to see something scenic and not technical stuff. Nicely done! PDSmith, I like your first render, he looks very imposing and the white of the uniform isn't washed out, it has nice shadowing. The background really supports him without distracting the viewer, a good balance. Kudos!
Thank you MdBruffy for another Nova Trek, link posted. Nova Trek 5 - Revelations
I was dropped out of the e-bot notices- again. I'll make up for it now, though.
T'Pau's staff as seen in my stories:

and civilian Trek textures for the V3 Tunic -for those of us that still use her:

Love the look, maybe needs a little brass? Especially love the green CRT monitor look, very neat.

Been doing some artwork for Book One. Mixing DAZ with some effects to give the book the feel I am looking for. Thought I would share these pics
I do love the look of the wood-grain. The whole bridge has a great feel to it. My only question would be how massive would the trees have to be to get wood grain that size? My only nitpick but given that redwods exist, trees that big would be very possible in a sci-fi setting.
Replicators. Great big Replicators that drag wood in from the eather realm of mist and unknown.
Actually, I was just thinking to put in a brass/copper railing to separate the rear section a bit more... some brass/copper handgrips on the rear console and perhaps something added to the helm console (piping?) Also, I was about to put in another three figures...
Ashe, not just redwoods, but how's giant sequoia? ;) Of course the industrial replicator does it all...
Thanks for the feedback everyone :)
In watching a number of episodes, one notices quite the variety of coloured lights being used. Now we can too at least in D/S. I made one. And I made a little tutorial to show how, yes we can add a light to an existing light set. [normally adding a light preset makes the others go "poof"]. Not tested with Iray. Works fine with 3Delight.
