I think I have that, but I downloaded it again just to be sure- then too, a back-up file never hurts.

    Agreed.

Came across a great video tutorial for using 'Stitch Witch" the other day ... now I can paint braid on a spline :-) Just have to find or make the braids lol ....

  • I have some TOS-style braid that I use in Stitch Witch.  I can post it, if you like.

    Sure, thank you.

I did find some images that would need a lot of clean up before using.

    ................

Is anybody else using http://www.daz3d.com/adventure-outfit ?

Was working on some morphs for the pouch 'cause if it came with any, I didn't find them.

Cool looking outfit. Now that I am using Studio I can use that. It would make a great Mirror Universe outfit.

If someone's looking for a project, I'd like something like the terrium-like things in these Matt Jefferies drawings -- particularly the tall one.  No plants necessary.  I may want to put something else in them at another time.

Made a wall which may or not be of interest.

  • Well it's been a busy week but I haven't been building a whole lot, however I did do up a few more renders that were enough o assemble a few pages. This is from scene 9 in the first issue of the comic I'm working on. I'm pretty sure I really need to work on text sizing and word bubbles, but I figured I'd share what I've got and get some constructive criticism.

The set up for this is that my Captain has been having nightmares of a past event that never actually happened to her. Q shows up and taunts her with it, threatening her with actually sending her back to this alternate past to change events. Arcelyn wants answers and after conferring with her crew opts to try for some answers using the holodeck.

    So you're not using Picard's "Q"?

You work differently than I do. I have to write out the entire story and then work from the beginning. I'd get lost doing otherwise.

I have the whole story outlined. I do hae to finish the actual dialogue for a good chunk of it but I know the seqeunce of events and what sets I need.

And no, it's not Picard's Q, but it is a Q we've seen before, the one Q had the son with in Voyager.  I wanted a Q with very different motivations than Picard's Q has.

That was Picard's "Q"- unless you're talking about his wife?

These look great, the only suggestion I would like to offer is on page three that you posted on the top panel the last word bubble change it to Beam weapon fore to aft hit. It would flow better and sounds more complete. Sorry if offering suggestions upsets you in advance, being Paul's proof reader for his books I tend to catch things like that.

Going to weigh in the pages that were just posted.

I like where you are going with this, it's flowing well but Page 3 frame 1 needs work.  Not to sound like the 'Word Bubble Stickler' but your word bubbles should never cover your characters like that.  I can only suggest, is open this up to a second page, have her walk around the room looking on with disdain at sections of the room while talking to the computer and then have the explostions on the following page, as a shocker effect.  Remember you're not being charged for printing pages.

I know you can (with various degrees of difficulty) import most formats into DS, but pretty much the things labeled CR2 there are "native"?

CR2 is an import format - handled by the DzPZ3Import plug-in, which handles all Poser formats (and OBJ, apparently).

CR2's are Poser character files. I don't know Daz Studio so I don't know if they work there or not.

Been a while since I last used this one — I'm not sure if the D|S MAT is actually working in D|S4.8. I know there have been problems in just the last couple of versions with backwards compatibility being lost, and the MATs for the ship and the yacht don't seem to make any actual changes to the surface parameters when I try to apply them.
