If someone's looking for a project, I'd like something like the terrium-like things in these Matt Jefferies drawings -- particularly the tall one.  No plants necessary.  I may want to put something else in them at another time.

You're welcome. Hope the textures work for everyone.I'm not used to doing a set of clothing textures this detailed. Change a basic color or add an item or two, but I think the Chancellor's Outfit was the last time I had to go to this extreme for an outfit. You Daz Studio users let me know if they work, ok?

    Thanks for the uniforms

Well they work, but I think the transparancey might need a little tweaking as I'm seeing some artifacts on the render around the bottom of the jacket, and I need to toy with the bump maps a bit, but other than that this is pretty much a straight render of the V4 and M4 outfits using iray. They look great.

If I wasn't in the middle of assembling the shuttlebay for the galaxy class and planning out a briefing room for the Connie refit I would totally work on these.

Well, they look great. In Poser 9, I had the transparency set to 2.0 and both edge and falloff set to 0.0. see if that helps.

I can wait. Got a ton of other projects going myself.  Take your time!

Tam comes across this in her time- travels. Couldn't find one, so I made this one. But I have 2 things I need a second set of eyes for.

    1. Are the globs too big?

    2. Right now there's only one spotlight positioned in the base. Does it need more than that?

The ones I've seen in the shops over the years vary a lot; sometimes lots of little blobs, sometimes big ones. Usually (I think) the only light is in the base. That looks OK, I'd say.

Looks OK my mom had one and the at first it had several large blobs then it went to a bunch of little blobs and then it became one big blob

the only light it had was in the bottom shining up through the green liquid it had

Robert, Spotted Kitty, thanks. I'll go with it like it is then.

Yeah, I was thinking it would be good for that sort of thing too.  I'm trying to equip a Star Fleet research lab for some illustrations.

Anyone know where I can find a folded flag? A properly folded flag. Textures don't matter, I'll make my own.

Haven't been able to find one not even at TurboSquid

I checked all the sites I usually deal with and  couldn't find any folded ones.

I have the makings of one in a display case, but I need one outside the case- to be presented.

It might be easier to go with a triangle prop or flatten a pyramid and texture one that way if it is going to be in a display box. I have wanted to do several images with a folded flag and I gave up because I couldn't find one.

Assuming you would,t need it for a close up you can have this one. It is a .obj file I made  which you should be able to import

THere are no models of a folded flag on the internet. I have a model for one in a case, but I need one without a case.

This was originally created for Nova Trek Book 8: Special Report. But I had to resurrect the jacket for this last story, You'll need M3 and M3's tunic to use these. There are only the jacket textures in this zip.

You're welcome. It's inspired by an early Next Gen episode.
