Another update, I am still working on the crew and the starship before I go back to modifying the bridge. I am still working on the effects for the lighting on Khambatta and even using parts from Greywolf's models to make some Phase II variants of some Starships. Not to mention the antagonist's bridge (I am still trying to do modifications for that since it is supposed to be an older ship but also more powerful than the Khambatta and other Starfleet ships). Uniforms are Nvent3D's Trailblazer, 2270 and Yorktown uniforms which I think are awesome to use.
I really like the look and style for this.
It'll be welcome I am sure, Madison.
You say however this will be your last, any plans for a new series?
I do have stories written concerning a totally new series. But I haven't decided yet if they'll be graphic novels or just prose. They're sci-fi, but non-Trek though.
Nova Trek was always designed with a definate beginning and a definate end and we've reached that point.
? I got the images [and also from my DVD] but did you take them off because right now today they are not showing at all with your post.
? I've also noticed that many attached images on various posts have these HUGE numbers as "names" ...
So if pics are going to be going awol and numbered uncontrollably, we'll have to be taking this into consideration when posting.
Can you link to a post where there is a huge number on it, so we know what you mean please?
There is an announcement at the top of the forum explaining the images which were attached to posts since the new site launched, IE 7th July, have gone awol and will need to be replaced.. Those from the old forum, or which were inserted as images should be showing now.
I did not remove them. Someone else must have for probably no reason whatsoever.
Edit: Just did a quick check and it looks like all the pictures posted since this new forum nightmare went into effect have disappeeared except for the ones posted last night and this morning. Has Daz imposed somekind of time-limit on the picture posts without telling us?
For eg: Look way up to the top of this page [13].
Madison's were on the previous page, new forum.
Not that I'm aware of ... some photos appear to still be around [or perhaps were replaced already] BUT the site DID crash last night. Was getting funky messages about their M server and/or Cloud service ... and even those pages were not loading correctly, plastered on top of what was already showing in my browser ... did notice some greyed text about "how to fix this" [like I know?!] .... nightmare good word. Was in the middle of link editing ...
As I said, images which were attached on the New forums since it went live need to be replaced by the member. Those that were from the old forums, or have been inserted using the image button on the wysiwyg controls at the top of the type panel are OK
Chohole-
did not see the notice. Went back and reposted the deleted pics.
An update on my 1701-E Crew quarters. Nothing has been exported into a single unit yet- still building pieces.
Weren't the Ent-E quarters just redress of the Voyager crew quarters as well? So you could use them for both.
Viewports and room dividers anr different:
So not quite then. They must have done more to them than redress them like Memory Alpha says.
Memory Alpha has a lot of info- a lot of good info- but some times, they do get it wrong- or at least incomplete.
Even ex-astris gets it wrong at times, nobody is perfect and there's a lot of rumors going around still.
Okay Chohole.
This is true. Even Paramount doesn't get it right all the time.
Okay, another update and a slight problem. I'm sure everyone will notice the gold colored insert in the room divider. That is my second insert. The first one was one of those pieces that comes out streaked when it renders- and only when it renders. This did the same thing. Walls, floor, support beams- I sampled screencaps for the colors.
Looks good, madison. Streaks, those occur when there's too many tri's gathering in one place, isn't it? I often see those on windows of car models, especially since DS likes tri's even less.
I think so, but in this case, there aren't any. This is the UV map for the insert:
Okay ... it is not finished but it is basically set up with a place for everything.
I can manage having ST in 2 places if everybody wants to.
The link list which is editable is Here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/58973/star-trek-builders-unite-7-cm-re-booted-link-list
I realize that some have undergone name changes ... IF you want a name change made on the list that is no problem.
If you start to make a post, then change your mind before you type anything, how do you close the window? I tried 5 times to close this thing and finally had to type something to close it.
You're right! The "cancel" button is missing! It is there when editing a post. Could erase the whole thing I guess and just type something else altogether.
Oh...I hate upgrades. Especially when they're not needed.
I hear ya! If you want to send me a "note" over at DA that is okay.
No need. I assume they'll get it untangled someday...
Ah, but the question is, will that be before christmas or after ...
The problem is fixed. I still don't know what caused it. I had to break the insert into two sections in order to get an obj that wasn't messed up. At least now, I can move on to the rest of it.
