    Part three of the series involving the Orion Syndicate and Starfleet.

    Also as you may note, GeorgeHaze was the primary writer of this story, not me, I was more of the guy who just did the images.

    I thought there were some for M4, but I didn't recognize them. How are they listed?

    'k, having one of those days with RL and "uvmapping" over here ... anybody in my close RL knows not to knock on my door when I'm uvmapping. So pardon if I'm little whatever sometimes. ty. Trying to swing a triax's uvs over to V4s.

    Anyways ... it is quite possible that there may still be some missing links from the broken links which were not decipherable so feel free to send me a PM if you suspect another missing one. I do not have the time to comb every account at every website.

    Wow! Might not be exactly canon but it's a bunny suit for G2F so those gals escorting Bones around have something to wear ;-)

    Not made by me and I have not tried it yet. Site is in English/Japanese and no I do not read Japanese.

    If one even just loads an item [prop/figure/whatever] into D/S, normally one can simply select it and then File > Export out an .obj which can be brought into Poser and re-textured, etc. In the most recent tutorial I've uploaded [stuff for Genesis 3] at the very beginning I do go over some of the basics in D/S for those who may be interested.

    Just made a little model of an early warp ship based on Zefram Cochranes Pheonix. This is early explorer ship used to survey our solar system. I have packaged it up as a Poser Model and wondered if anyone would be kind enough to test it out for me before I put it up. Note it is only set up for Poser as I don't use DAZ

    Happy 4th of July to everyone. Don't have much of an update for the bridge but I have been working on some concept stuff and deciding on the ship to be used. Here are some renderings I have done of the crew and some of the concepts.


    About my story: Like Nova Trek, it is in it's own Universe. It's a Federation that is in the middle of some major political turmoil. There are Terran Factions that feel that Terrans should split from the Federation and even go through great lengths to cause some kind of major uprising. The Starship Khambatta is on patrol in a sector that has been a hotspot for this activity and finds the crew trying to stop a Civil War from happening. The story is told in the late TOS era and Phase II/TMP Era since the Khambatta is a Phase II Connie. Still developing but I hope to start the story soon.

    I am not sure what is going on but it looks like there is a large number of omissions going on with the freebies list. I was looking for a link to my brothers graphic novels for a friend and a good number of his novels have been removed as well as other artists. I also noticed that my MU pin is also missing from the list. I back tracked and all these items were on the list "Star Trek Builders Unite 5 : Where no pixel has gone before" and starting with "Star Trek Builders Unite 6: The Undiscovered Thread" all of these items are now missing. Would it be possible for the moderator to copy and paste the missing files from STBU 5 so that the missing material is returned for everyone to find easily?

    There is nothing going on.
    The links had to undergo a massive rearrangement LAST thread because of many dead and/or broken links.
    The list is LONG, had to be spread over more posts.
    So many items are arranged under their creators if not on the mixed bag lists.

    As to your brother's novels, cute. There is a matter is being looked into by the mods and is NOT a matter for the public forum. I have the 3 links and after the matter is decided on either they go live again or they do not. And if that be the case I'm sure they'd notify him too.
    Why are you stirring waters?

    As to the other missing novels ... the ones that even the people in those websites where flagging, remember there is a TOS here too. ty.

    Let's keep ST 'family friendly' and or post "adult" Trek in places with filters. And not at raunchy sites 'cause that's also against TOS here.

OK I am unaware of any debate going on since its not in the public forum, so I really don't appreciate the little comment implying that I am stirring some sort of pot for him. Yes he is my older brother, and he is quite capable of taking care of himself without my help and I don't consciously try to interfere.

    It seems a little strange that links to these comics have been live for a while here without an issue and all of a sudden they are no longer here. I may not agree with the content but removing something without so much as a "Oh by the way" to the other members of the thread is questionable at best.

    As far as the pin goes it is mine to offer as a freebie since it was given to me as a gift, and I give proper credit to the person who made it where it is offered. If that is going to be an issue, Please remove it and I will host it on my own.

    I am merely asking questions, how is that causing trouble?

    While I'm not aware of any other special links that were removed from his list that you may be referring to, I am aware that he, like many here have a lot of other items of interest and there is a link to his general Gallery so people can find more of his works there. In my efforts to "neat and tidy" the page into something readable while copying/pasting, maybe something got missed and if that's the case it was unintentional. As he has combed over the pages going by his PMs I would think that if there was something else missing he wanted listed he would have told me. If there is something you think that is missing that should be, aside from the 3 links pending a decision on some matter that even I am not privy to, then do feel free to to send me the link via PM and I'll check the list and post or fix links, whichever.

    That I was editing the list at the time was not a secret. So okay, "by the way, I removed some links a long time ago because Firefox had the sites flagged as attack sites and I don't care how good the ST novels/comics/whatever might have been, sending people to attack sites is NOT my idea of a nice thing to do." 'k And presupposing I had done that, then somebody invariably comes along and says that the site didn't attack them ... and like that is great ... {they had a hard drive failure later though}, but my security software is not going to let this computer check links on what it is perceiving to be attack websites [esp. since that last rash of them wherein servers were being attacked through infected computers unbeknownst to the site owners] and gee I have the quirk of liking to check links before posting or re-posting them 'cause losing one's computer to any form of whatever is not nice. So to please pardon if missing a few freebies on the list because we'd like [or least I would think we'd like] a relatively safe list.

I feel it is in the best interest to walk away from this as there seems to be no clear resolution to what I see as a growing issue and concern and no inteest or intent to address or correct/resolve the problem.

    Shadow, in all fairness, Cath has addressed each and every one of your points. The only person who seems to have issues with this and keeps pressing the matter is you. The links that were removed cannot be on this list to stay within board TOS and the rest is still there. This is not Cath's own doing, but to make sure the thread stays live and the links archive doesn't get removed, according to DAZ ToS. It's a safety measure that should have been applied from the start.

    Can we please move on from here without trying to make a big fuss about what you perceive to be a growing issue?

There are several modderators that frequent this page that have had more than enough chances to view the material and delete the questionable material.     I don't think that's what's happening here shadow. From what I read, there's some question or issue that's been raised about specific links that none of us are privy to. Catherine is protecting the thread by removing those links until whatever that issue is has been resolved.

    Moderator response can be difficult to predict. Some might only remove offending links and issue a statement or warning, while others very likely would shut down the thread, or remove the entire thing.

    I do think Catherine's initial response could have been handled better, as I don't think shadow's intention was to cause trouble.

    For those who are wondering what all the fuss is about, as i have not heard back from the mods who do the final whatever on such matters, no, I do not think that the thread might be closed because of a link ... mods do not normally check every available offering made on the forums and if they had any concerns about how I managed the list it was never so indicated to me. Threads get locked if they go over board in discussing certain matters.

    If I were to take to action all that has been suggested between "2" people, everybody go back and view that ST thread 5's list with no changes made, not even all the new stuff that has been added because everybody postings did not specifically say "put on link list".
    Copy the list, put it to notepad, open a text box, and paste it in. See the nice mess.
    A couple of the websites have made it clear to 'the world' that they do NOT want links to their product pages, so what was archived is archived, but the rest would need to be removed. Have fun. Nobody thanks you for that job well done or not.
    Write the site owners and ask them for permission to post somekind of link to their pages keeping in mind THEIR tos and the one here, and well, 'good luck'. I have succeeded where others had been told no.

    It is against tos to keep dead links.
    It is against tos to link to certain types of adult sites.
    It is against tos to link to commercial pages.
    It is against other sites' tos [in most cases] to hotlink.
    It is against some other sites' tos to deep link.
    it is against .... long list, have fun.

    Now, there is for those who have been living in a bubble or something, a global war of sorts happening.
    Very sadly one nation decided to use ST as a promotional item for their agenda and thusly and probably unbeknownst to the victim sites, other fanatical groups have been taking actions through ... now dear people, just be careful what you download from the old archived lists which no, I do not have time to simply replace the new with the old. That really does not make any sense to me whatsoever.

    Moderator response can be difficult to predict. Some might only remove offending links and issue a statement or warning, while others very likely would shut down the thread, or remove the entire thing.

    I do think Catherine's initial response could have been handled better, as I don't think shadow's intention was to cause trouble.

    Nightwolf, I see your point but my original issue remains. Those link were there back when I was running the thread and no one raised any issue, now all of a sudden they area problem? The majority of the moderators here would simply remove the offending links and say that they were deleted due to content, for her to say that she removed them to protect the thread is like saying I threw out the TV to prevent my kids from seeing a commercial I found offensive. If she had come out and posted that while cleaning up the section that she found some link that might be deamed questionable and she was seeking the guidence of the Moderators to verify that they were allowed, I wouldn't have an issue with any of this. But to find that links that were still active had been removed without notifing the rest of the forum members makes me question her motives. I realize that Catherine is a popular person on the forums and this is in no way earning me any points,but I find what is going on right now questionable.
