I run into it off and on- and not just with Sketch-up. However, in this case,I did find this one at Sketch-up, but it needs work. All the doors are the same material zone. The blue intersection carpet is not supposed to be checkered and the monitor screens mounted along the corridor are mapped wrong- they're supposed to take 2 textures and the model applies one map to both. With work it's useable .
Thanks Cath, Gruaro made the model because I asked for it. :)
As for these forums, please do not get me started... or the word filter that has been incorporated will be doing overtime...
I had to unsubscribe from all but this thread, as my inbox suddenly exploded... 45 mails for 28 posts in two threads, talk about 'bleeding' ridiculous.
Here's a sample of what I was talking about. the floor doesn't show up till it's rendered. How do you place characters in the scene when you can't see the floor?
Would this work for you? - http://www.foundation3d.com/index.php?categoryid=38&p13_sectionid=210&p13_fileid=1940
Its in poser format.
In other news...
A new Klingon ship (not by me)
http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/58907/klingon-d5-class-spaceship
I have that set. It's basically a version of Voyager's corridor. It doesn't have the curve to the bulkhead that the 1701-E has. That corridor as it appeared in "First Contact" has a very distinct look to it that's very unique to the "E".
That's the same ship I posted, Matty, only I posted the link to the download directly.
Gee is that all you got? I got something like 148 of them in a second! Found that subscribe section and unchecked everything. I am not sure I want to check emails today.
Have to find a way to joke about all this ... maybe not today though.
My thanks to Gruaro as well ... can never have enough K ships
......................
Apparently "all" first posts cannot be edited. Apparently there was a notice somewhere.
There is a way to get some of the old links to normal forum threads fixed by changing a few words in the url.
Sometimes I do things 'cause of some weird feeling which I know is right but don't know why obviously, feelings don't talk ... which is good right now ... but just as a "whatever" I did happen to save those pages for the last forum's link lists. But in looking over the pages they were really odd ... while I had been viewing the previous forum's page when saving them, what was saved was half and half ... had the new "longer" names on people's avatars and the page colour etc was new forum.
Think I'm getting a headache again.
Madison I'll see if I can find my DVD for First Contact ... in the other movie, just watched E get driven into an exploding mess ... the only corridor scene was so bad that it's hard to tell which ship it was.
I had so many that my email kicked em into the spam folder and Norton decided that my computer was under attack and actually blocked everything from Daz until I told it not to what a PITA
I cannot access my PMs. I can't get past the )*(& Message screen and into the PMs. :-(
You need to go to your inbox
Chohole-
I did. I clicked on it several times and the screen never changed.
You do mean the imbox that is in your profile? maybe it's time to clear Daz cookies and try again.
Patience, this is the corridor I'm talking about. These screencaps are from "First Contact" by way of Trek Core: As you can see, there's a definate shape to it that the Voyager corridor doesn't have.
Chohole-
It comes and goes. I finally did get in. But I had to try several times- both from here and through the e-bot notice- which I'm finally getting.
Yeah the Ent-E corridors have this almost horse shoe look to them. Definitely unique.
It is a kind of horse shoe-like arch isn't it? Never thought of it quite that way, but you're right.
Lots of corridor scenes in First Contact!
Did you want a real hole in the floor?
One of the scenes is neat. Starts off with Worf going to jump through the hole, but it is Picard that lands lol ...
Don't need a hole in the floor. The sketch-up file not only had the large "set" it also had sections simular to my TMP corridor set. I'm workiing things out with those.
Okay ... I did make a beam which after all my pics finish being uploaded I will send you the sta.sh link via Note at DA, if you want that. It's a .pp2 via PP12.
Why is it that every time I come to this site, it insists on signing me out? It doesn't matter whether I come by e-bot or bookmark,
I dont have that issue. I just get signed out after a period of time (a day or two) and have sign back in when I come back to the site.
David
You need to check off remember me when you log in.
How do you change how your name appears again? I looked around in "My profile" and cant see the settings.
Change it here on the store side https://www.daz3d.com/customer/account/edit/
Thanks!
frank0314-
I check it every time I come to the site. But it never lasts longer than a day. Used to be - on the old forum format- I'd sign in once and that was it unless I had to go to the shop.
There isn't a morph for John de Lancie as Q is there?
I haven't seen a morph for Q in a long time. Wertz did have one out, but all of his stuff's been pulled for years.I didn't need him for any of my stories so I never grabbed it when I saw it.
I know, "Bad boy".
There are several things in the works right now in connection with my next- and last- Nova Trek. This is one of them. The viewports and room dividers of the 1701-E and different from the "D"'s. So I'm building a set for crew and guests.
Doh. Hmm... well there are more than one Q... guess I could just make up my own.
EDIT: Or I could go with my alternative plan and use Daz as references and draw my idea out... that will obviously take MUCH longer...
