@Daz_Jessica Thanks for the response. The prices are not the same on the pop-up and cart: The pop-up does not have the accrued discounts or correct total like the cart does. Please see attachments.
Can you send this into customer service, it seems specific to your machine so we're trying to get to the bottom of it.
It didn't
Glad we could oblige.
I believe customer service has been in touch. So hopefully you've gotten some answers.
This has been fixed and should be pushed live to the website later this week. Thanks for letting us know.
Yes - working correctly now.
I get that, too, since it came out. MS-Edge, Win10.
Hm-m, it's back...
Hm, yes, I can confirm that - pity!
ah.
so, problems with paying/prices, addressed.
problems with staying logged in, ignored.
bad form Daz. Bad form.
Not necessarily ignored, but they do have to identify the cause - it doesn't affect all users, and in some cases may be attributable to actions on the user's machine (if not of the user's conscious choice) such as cookie-retention.
sorry Richard but no.
My Machine is NOT giving me the server message "just logging you out" .... thats the SERVER.
how can my machine, order the SERVER to log me out? unless it's sending out malformed cookies in the first place, just no. sorry. saying it's not all users is not acceptable. the cookies are NOT flushed or deleted. I've tried with Vanilla installs of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Opera. same result. sorry. it's NOT MY MACHINE ITS THE SERVER.
and I did say a DAZ staff member answer this ongoing issue. not a mod. sorry Richard, you don't work on the servers or the backend.
right now, I'd not spend anything here. because if I can't stay logged in, I cannot trust the security.
I can vouch it's not everyone. I've not been logged out of the forum or store and almost a year so it does not effect everyone and there have been dozens of threads over the last year or two with the same. How is making you log in a security threat? Isn't that the opposite of threat?
The logout issue just happened to me today.
No, I do not want to log out.
No, I do not want to be redirected from a thread to the main forum page.
No, I REALLY don't want it to be a hard redirect where I can't get back to where I was by hitting the back button.
simple. if the SERVER cannot retain settings, and the team that support it after several YEARS cannot track down what they obivously think is a minor issue, what trust is there they are maintaining everything else properly?
look, I get the whole "it don't happen to me" mentallity. but, thats not helping. I'd guess there's an issue in the member database thats causing the log outs on certain accounts, say ones created at a certain period in time. so we get a situation where some are affected but others are not.
also.. it's said they've investigated and can't find the cause.
how many users that have been affected, have been approached? I know I've not been. I'd gladly help with information from my machine to help, like browser settings etc.
serious question. (and no I'm not just yelling and trying to be an ass. I want this issue fixed guys, but I am getting fed up with being fobbed off.)
If the users that are having problems, do not contact DAZ (these forums are not for that) and/or do not provide enough information for finding a common cause, then there is very little anyone can do to fix the issue - Since not everybody has the problem, it has everything to do with your system, your software, your ISP etc...
Yelling, "I have a problem, DAZ sucks" only gets the other users annoyed and possibly your messages removed for not following the TOS.
"Since not everybody has the problem, it has everything to do with your system, your software, your ISP etc..."
incorrect, since it's the server thats logging out the user. so why is it doing that.
lets take my system as a start.
Latest chrome. no addons. cookie retention not changed.
result : logged out.
Firefox. latest build. No addons. no settings changed.
result : logged out.
Edge. Latest build. no addons. no settings changed.
result : logged out.
(this is all done with suitable amounts of visits (10) on each software.)
lets try another machine. same. tablet. same. phone same.
so.. please..how is it my system and software? I can reproduce on my account across browsers and machines
the only thing I've not tried is creating a new account and seeing what happens. hmm thats next then
oh and across 2 Isps.
Lets say, you drove a yellow Toyota and everytime you come to a railway crossing, the boom comes down on the roof of your car. It doesn't happen to everybody, just to the ones driving yellow Toyotas.
Happens to you everytime, no matter what time it is, but the culprit is still your car, the yellow Toyota, and until this culprit can be identified, nobody knows what it is that needs fixing and how.
oh and yes. I've put a ticket in.
Usinmg multiple browsers or even multiple devices has seemed to be related to the issue, at least to an extent, in the past.
What AV are you using? How often do you visit the site?
In my case, I'm using a single browser (Safari) on a single device (Mac). It may be worth noting that I do not have a fixed IP address.
I can't remember if someone has said something about this or not in this thread, but I figured, it wouldn't hurt to say something.
I think a dark mode for the sight would be fantastic. Just cause most sites have them nowadays and a lot of users prefer dark mode over the bright white background. It's easier on the eyes and just looks better.
Also, in cart, there should be a button that you could press to put everything in your wishlist. I know that right now, there's the clear cart button, which is awesome. But sometimes, I just throwi things in there for when I'm loking for something generic. I don't want to lose everything that I've put in there, but at the same time, I don't want to have to sit there and click through 30 items to put them all in my wishlist.
Not sure if anyone else has this gripe, but it's just the small things tht count in making the shopping expeirence better.
ALL might be too drastic, but maybe something like multiple select for the actions "Move to Wishlist" and "Remove from Cart". I agree that doing one at a time is tedious, waiting for the refresh before doing the next one, repeat, repeat, repeat...
Confirmed. Grrr.
Bear in mind that if, say, 10% of visitors experience issues, a fix cannot be rushed out to appease those people if it risks breaking things for the other 90%. Frustrating - absolutely.
I've experienced this myself. It wouldn't be quite so bad if, when logging in again, the site redirected me back to the page I was on and not straight to my account page.
