The list of things wrong with the internet is great indeed

    We lost that one!

    Still, what's this gather node?

    Dana

Poser Node Cult Material Node. It applies a material's ambient channel to other materials the Gather Node is plugged into :)

That node stuff looks scary to me. I'll have to spend some time on just that to figure it all out. And I don't have time for that right now.

Got up at 5:15AM to catch the 6:05AM bus to get to work by 7:05AM. :blank: I need to get in early, so I can leave early. Plus, the 6:05AM bus is only one block from me, so no mile and a half hike in the freezing cold! :cheese:

How big is your town? I can get into Boston in an hour. In an hour and a half I can be at the New Hampshire border, if traffic is kind. Usually traffic is not kind, though...not in Boston.

    Dana

Tulsa is a mid-sized town, but the bus service is pretty minimal. Most buses run every 45 minutes, some once and hour, some once every 2 hours. :gulp:

Timing is super-tricky if you don't want to spend 45 minutes waiting for the next bus...

Austin was miles better, but.. no work for me there when my contract ended. Town was going to Hell, too.

Yep, we ran out of handbaskets years ago. CapMetro just increased all fares again.

Crikey! When I got there it was the best transit value in the U.S., then it went up.. and now again.. ouch! :ahhh:

Well, now no more spare money except for the planned weekend beerfest!

Found one pretty girl in Fastgrab, that's the biweekly content purchase. Lovely face on her.

Bought a second MIDI controller keyboard, not as fancy as the one I have, but will speed music creation as I will be able to play two synthesizers at once (and yes, I can do that). :cheese:

Also bought a new album from a fellow dark ambient musician, it's quite good! Will listen to it whilst chatting this weekend!

complaint: some online games are big. I will need to spend four for five hours downloading 16 GB of data. I have another game that took around six hours because the gaming server was slow. Too many people were downloading the game at the same time.

...icky weather here today, 48° and rain. No want to go out.

Sunday and Monday however are a different story (should the forecast hold up), 63° and sunny both days.

Me, I'd go for the music hardware/software.

...sounds like they're taking a page from the Tri Met (Portland OR) playbook. I almost thought of moving to Austin if I could scrape up the funds. 31$ for a monthly bus only pass compared to 100$ here was a deal. I rarely if ever ride our LRT here as it doesn't stop anywhere near where I live and lately seems to be breaking down just about every day (mostly due to power outages in the system - and of course they always seem to happen during the AM/PM commute times).

BTW, are they reducing services there as well? Here we experienced both the biggest fare increase, accompanied by the largest system wide bus schedule reduction in the history of the system a couple years ago (of course the LRT network, the "Stupmtown Trolley" and the financial sinkhole known as WES commuter rail were not affected).

Have you checked out DreamlandModels stuff over at Renderosity? Some nice city blocks there. They go on sale now and then. He has a few low poly sets, too.

...yeah, they had a recent sale as well. As I understand they work better in Poser though.

Been saving for the release of Sprawl 3 ever since Stefan first announced it. Was really wowed by the promo pics. Many of his contemporary urban sets work well together as I illustrated in my "Summer in the City" pic where I combined the NYC Townhouses, City Courtyard, and various buildings from Urban Sprawl 2.

Finished downloading 14 GBs of another game. It is an online first person shooter game. Shoot enemy players or be shot at. The game sounds exciting from the product's description. After 15 minutes of playing I got bored. I rather play an old adventure game with outdated graphics where I can level up and upgrade my equipment. Yes, I did look at the in-game store; but, that store requires real money. There is no in-game money like gold or credits. Ok.. I'm going to delete the FPS game now. At least I didin't spend $40 - $60 on the game because it was free.
