Unfortunately, they will probably not fix that bug. They are all but abandoning the Gen4 items it seems, so it's doubtful they'd even care about a bug for them. Plus they've got other shader tech now, and other lighting. Seems like everyone who wants high-res renders uses that Reality thingy.
Dana
...not necessarily as it doesn't allow use of a lot of special effects that are 3DL dependent. True I have it and am experimenting with it, but for some types of scenes I like to do (like my most recent RRRR submission or one I am currently working on) it definitely is not the best option.
...cool [raises a glass of Potato Wodka in salute].
Yeah motor control in the analogue days seemed much simpler (and less brain draining).
almost tax refund time. maybe it's time to try Lightwave :cheese: would be nice if they haz a competitive upg price.
Bit late to the conversation (Slept in late) but in response to the "Cute can't be scary" I've got to respond with "appearances can be deceiving" :)

Mitsukuni Haninozuka (More frequently referred to as 'Honey' due to his fondness for sweets), short in statue due to stunted growth, always carrying around a plush bunny, frequently childish in nature, but is quite intelligent and a martial arts champion.
Can't tell what someone's gonna be like from appearance alone

Although I do admit anyone with the name "CuddlyMan" would be hard to take seriously in conversation at the very least!
...from my perspective that just seems so wrong, North winds bring cold and snow here.
Where I am it's the east winds in summer off the high desert that bring us the hot weather while south winds usually bring us rain.
Living on the "left coast" is screwy.
Am I on the "right coast"?
...you get that big of a tax refund? Here the state usually takes a "bite" out of my fed refund as I have to actually pay them.
Tax refund? Where is my w2 or whatever it is called?

Back in the day, it was just a case of - more voltage, faster, less voltage, slower.
Now for brushless DC motors, you have to monitor the position of the rotor, and there are 3 magnets driven by six pulsing circuits, and the computer has to adjust which pulses in which magnets have to be activated how often..! :ahhh:
Yes, brushless DC motors MUST be driven by an intelligent external circuit. :blank:
...yeah how true
Like this little girl. All smiles & giggles but don't just get on her bad side. Part of the reason Serbian intel never could quite find the elusive saboteur they assigned the "Queen of Diamonds" title to.

i claim 0, then have an extra 10bucks a paychq sent to the state. i absolutely hate owing tax. >:(
but i can't imagine paying a thousand bucks for a d/l.
received a reply from lightwave3d already, no promotions going on.
no competitive up. one good news, don't need internet connectivity to install or run the s/w.
browsed their gallery, didn't see any Mike or Vicki.
saw this stunning lorakeet :) doesn't say if there was postwork.

uh oh, someone gave me their starbuck's treat receipt. can gets a warm chocolate chip brownie for a dollar.
... but, if i eat one, i won't be able to tell if the spinach and carrots is making me feel better.
oh yay, Trout 1 hardware 0 ! Was that a pulse controller ? :)
Iz always the quiet ones that need watching most

Only New Zealand between us and the South Pole where all the cold wind blows from. North is all desert between here and the Indian Ocean so wind from the North gets plenty of opportunity to warm up. They are expecting 50C heat in the centre this week, is that around 140F or thereabouts ?

Missed the competitive UG by about 3 months. You could see if anyone is selling an older version like 10 on ebay and upgrade from there :)
If you go to the temp folder (Edit>Preferences to see where that is) and delete the contents of the Shaders/Brickyard folder you should be able to render. It's an issue with the compilation of Shader Mixer-based shaders, such as the AoA SSS Shader.
Well...isn't that important enough for them to fix?
Dana
They haven't said they won't - though since it's an intermittent issue it may not be quick to fix.

Oh I see, triple the ugly :)
Oh yeah thanks for the reminder.
Yes it kinda makes everything upside down turvywise this side of the equator :)
home sweet home :)
2 more days to weekend
tee hee too soon for The Cuddly Man Complaint Thread?

No, it's 122 F. But that's damn hot enough anyway!
Temperature Conversions (they do other conversions, too)

Yeah, I hate those...so hard to get a consistent result.
Dana
was trying to decide tween gianni and leon of the night, there's no reason can't have both, it's my fantasy, like the girl in the song crying at her party if she wants to
i don't even know the first rule behind ca vertex modeling. like, does it have to be closed like wings3d box modeling?

Back to work Mondays earlier as well :)

Got a real old thermometer by the back door so stuck in the Fahrenheit era I'm afraid :) Lucky bits of google are as well
mercury!
knows iz not healthy but liked the mercury coming out in lil balls. thermohmeters all have the red in it these days.
red matter more dangerous than mercury, makes blackholes and singularities, fer sakes yeesh
QuickSilver stuff I assume yes :)

LuxRender is best used for single figure portraits, I find.
If you want illustrations that tell a story (like my little Belle and little Brodie playing in the park with Bacon) 3Delight is the way to go IMO.
