You click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any such email.

When browsing the DAZ forums my browser says "getting data from www.facebook.com". WTF! I've never even visited facebook, much less created an account. And, for everybody's information, since DAZ is ignoring my rquest for a refund now for several months and despite asking regularely what is going on, I've decided to give them another week. After that I will delete my credit card data and never look back.

What is the icket number? Was this a straight, within thirty days request or was it a later request once a technical issue proved irresolvable?

ID 350491, opened on the day of purchase. I first asked them why the RSL presets mentioned in the product description infact were MDL presets renamed RSL and put in a 3Delight folder. They told me the MDL presets are 3Delight materials. I asked for a refund. After that dead silence. (Long story short)

    Thanks

Hmm apparently this matter will be taken care of, finally. I owe you one, tks Richard!

Here's the Library Scanner for those who want to try it:

Just extract into a folder and run the .exe.

First screen is for logging in, after you're logged in click the Scan Product Library button to open the library scanner window.  Wait until it says "READY".

Change the settings and options if you don't want the default ones, and then click the Scan button to start scanning.  You can change the Retry and Pause settings while it's scanning, but don't touch or change anything else.

It's recommended to scan until it finish by itself but you can cancel and continue later if needed.  When continuing after a cancel, first open the error.log file (in the Data folder) and scroll to the end.  Here you'll see this:

I'm running it now, it's been about five hours (I have a LOT of stuff)  What exactly is this scanning for?  The subject came up due to black swirlies, but is this just identifying what has images missing, or the lack of manual downloads, what?  Does it identify any missing DIM products/interact with DIM in any way?   Thanks for providing the script, I just need to know what it can and can't identify. I have a TON of 500 errors :(

     https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/6359446/#Comment_6359446

How many errors do you have - 500, 1000, 5000 (each line in product_errors_csv.txt is an error) ?  With the number of products you have, 500-1000 errors when you're finished would be normal I think, if you have several thousand there may be other server problems triggering the 500 error - it's a more general error which also covers different other problems but it seems to be rare that these occur.

I've got around 600.  Also, the count of the products doesn't match anything, it was off by over 3,100 products compared to what I have for downloads in DIM. Does that mean those products are missing from my Product Library?

The number of products is the one reported by the Product Library so it should be accurate, though there have been a couple of people whose library count has been 1 too high causing the app to crash.

It does identify the pages that only show black swirlies - no product page loading at all.

To identify products that are not in DIM: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/6333841/#Comment_6333841

As for "no downloads", but product page loading ... unfortunately I don't know of a script for that. At the moment I am going through my orders, loading each and clicking each to go to the product page, look for green download buttons, close page. No download buttons: contact support ... fun.

I'm thinking of making the swirly scanner check for other things on the library pages, so it also reports the status (missing download and product page links etc.) of the readable pages.  It downloads the library page content anyway so it's not a lot of work.  Will take a look at it one of the next days...

    That would be brilliant!

Most of the times the part with the download buttons is simply badly formatted and ends up at the bottom of the page, like here:

    https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_5745/

But sometimes there are no download buttons at the bottom:

    https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_4184

    or

    https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_2871

    or

    https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_12210/

Thanks, will see if there are reliable ways to detect these...

Scan canceled - data may not be complete...
    Last Scan#: 11859

Enter the Last Scan# number + 1 (in this case 11860) into the Start At box before you start scanning, and click Scan, to continue where it left off.

In case the program or your system should crash or something else terminates the scan, the Last Scan# number won't be logged.  Instead, open one of the report files, scroll to the last line and get the first number to the left (ItemCount#), and use that number instead.  It may rescan some products that way, depending on whether the product it was scanning when the scan was terminated had errors or was OK, but it will not create any duplicates in the report.

Each product that is readable (scans OK) will use some 35 KB of bandwidth in average when scanned I think, i.e. 35 MB per 1000 products you have.  Unreadable products will probably consume less than 500 bytes.

Reports are in the Data folder inside the folder with the program.

    Thanks!

Could you please report that the Honni 8 .sep file is still cannot be downloaded? I submitted my ticket on Nov 20th and they were able to reproduce the issue, support said the file wasn't on the server and they'd fix it but over a month later and it's still not there.

When is the search function of the store going to be fixed? For example, let's say you wanted to search for all products you could use for a certain setting or time period, in this example Egyptian, you'd search the word "Egypt". You used to get all items with this word not only in the product name but also any other item that would be related that either had the word in the description or somewhere else in the ad (were there tags too in the previous store version?). Now you search Egypt and even the most recent products that are obviously Egypt themed don't come up in the results, only the products with your search term in the PRODUCT TITLE show. eg: dforce Menhet, dforce Queen of the Nile which are obviousy Egyptian theme don't come up in these search results but they would have in the older store version. That's many, many products that most buyers will never find unless they search for the exact word that's in the product title only. Try this yourself for any time period or any theme, (Roman, Steampunk, Tropical, Space, Arabian, Viking, Barbarian, Wizard, Modern city, etc)you'll see what I mean about the greatly diminished results on the Daz store then the many extra results you can get through google and image search.

I've started using google search and image search to find products that the Daz store search itself won't find, but this leads to another problem, some of the links that come up lead to pirate sites. Now I stay away from them for many reasons but I'm sure there are many that will take the risk or may not even realise they are pirate sites and download form there anyway. This can only hurt PA's from the extra sales they could have had and hurt buyers if they download one of these products (not realizing its a pirate site) and get a computer breaking virus. However, if they're aware its a pirate site then they deserve what they get lol. But even pirate sites aside, I hope you see the point I'm making, the search function has taken a massive step backwards and it can only be hurting Daz, its content creators and its customers in its current limited state. How can customers buy what they can't find?

I filed a ticket on this, along with a few examples of the really spectacular ways in which the search engine is failing. Support said that they were aware of the issue and working on it, and closed the ticket.

    www.daz3d.com/checkout/cart

This page isn’t working right now

www.daz3d.com can't currently handle this request.

    HTTP ERROR 500

  • So, the store is down, right?  Top page is OK.  Some products OK, but many are blank.  Can't get to my cart.  Just a blank white page.  No error message.  Nothing.

    It's not just me, right?

Many product pages cannot load, trying randomly from the store list. HTTP Error 500.

  • Looks like the server has gone south. Error 500 is usually the HTTP equivalent of raising the white flag.

    Hi!

I'm seeing 'can not handle request' when ever I try to click on a product and I can't add items to my cart. Does anyone have an ETA on when this might work again? I'm having it on widows and mac.

    edit: It's working now.

...and now it's working. I got my items and checked out successfully.

  • Found a great way to save money, have the "add to cart" buttons not working, doh.

Hopefully they'll also fix the pages for the lost product library pages, that'd be kool too.
