    still can't sort by %off

That's a Daz-Deals extension function, not a storefront function. Ati and Overdrawn are doing their best to get things functional again, but Daz opened a massive box of chaos and keeps changing things. I wouldn't expect to see that back until the site has settled down some and is less of a dumpster fire.

Thanks for the info, I'd have kept checking forever *g*

Haha np, I sometimes forget what's extension-related and what isn't until there are server problems or something and all the info I'm used to having suddenly disappears! Several people chimed in that they liked that function in the extension thread, so maybe it'll get bumped up the priority list once the site is stable enough for fixes to not just fall apart. :)

Well, I'm a member again. After messing about with it for awhile, I'm getting PFAD $1.99 pricing on things. Some other prices in the sale are waaay off, but Too tired to care right now.

I shouldn't be charged sales tax on my total.

Anybody else getting charged sales tax on the pre-discount price? (or did I miss mentions of this earlier?)

Are others having this issue? Either sales tax being charged when it shouldn't or tax being charged on the full price rather than discount price? I can't test it so just trying to figure out if others can reproduce this.

Also, has anyone noticed if Rawb or Jack etc has all ready addressed this?

I still can't click on any of the items on the line shown with the red arrow in my screenshot, like People and Wearables. It always links to the items in the black line above. This is in Chrome. I had the same problem with the old store, but the problem persists into the new store.

I'm not seeing this problem, Barb, or the url on What's Hot. Relog, clear cache?

Cris, I hope you see this. I don't know how to tag your username with a space in it.

I figured out why I am getting the wrong URL for those links. It has to do with the page formatting of that black header with the SHOP TECHNOLOGY GALLERIES, etc. The formatting causes the link problems when the page width is narrow enough to cause the text links on the black header to wrap around to a second line, as I showed in the original post about this problem. If the page is wide enough so that the black border doesn't wrap to two lines, then the links in the blue area (People and Wearables Animals and Creatures Places and Things, etc.) work correctly. If the page is very narrow, so that the black header links (SHOP TECHNOLOGY, etc.) are completely hidden, the links in the blue area also work correctly. It is only when the SHOP TECHNOLOGY, etc. is wrapped to a second line that the problem occurs.

BAD - window width forces SHOP  TECHNOLOGY  GALLERIES etc. to a second line. Links for People and Wearables  Animals and Creatures, etc. don't work.

GOOD - Window is wide enough that SHOP  TECHNOLOGY  GALLERIES etc. is on the same line as Daz3D. Links for People and Wearables, etc. work OK.

GOOD - window width is so narrow that the SHOP  TECHNOLOGY  GALLERIES etc. line is completely hidden. The links for People and Wearables, etc. work OK.

Managed to succesfully place an order. A mix and match bundle from the two bundles, and a whole swathe of things from the pc for a day collection. Paid with PayPal, no issue. Thanks everyone for your hard work

Uhm, managed to give myself a heart attack because I should've only spent $10. My purchase history shows I spent nearly 300!!!!

I have the same thing! Order was $21.33 but account page shows $60.90 which also caused me some worry. Thankfully Paypal reports that they only charged me 21.33, but it's probably not good to worry customers!!

I purchased 4 PFAD items this afternoon; so, I checked to see. DAZ correctly charged me sales tax on the $1.99 PFAD price

Thank you for letting me know. If others are getting the wrong tax I would try what jjmainor below suggests first and see if that corrects it for now, if not, especially on orders that were actually processed, I think put a support ticket in on that (unless a bunch of people end up seeing that same issue)

If you "proceed to checkout," it has your address as "default" something or other, and the address you've been using is no longer used as your default.  if you change the address, it should correct the issue of being charged on the full price.

Ann if it hasn't been confirmed that this is a known issue, I'll put a ticket in for being charged sales tax when I shouldn't be - it's not being charged incorrect sales tax, it's being charged sales tax at all when I should not be.

I've never been charged sales tax by daz; daz is in Utah and I live in Florida... is Daz now actually going to be adding tax to carts and if so, to whom or when/why?

Ok went to "address book", deleted my address as nothing was on the left in default, added a new address, and then hit "save address" but nothing happened. It's not saving the address at all. Now have no address listed.

I live in Kentucky and Daz has charged me tax ever since my state passed legislation mandating that remote retailers who meet certain criteria have to collect and remit taxes. Ostensibly it was to level the playing field between online and B&M retailers, but naturally it also applies to digital products and things that can't be bought anywhere but online.

It should depend on where you live and what their laws regarding collecting taxes are, barring the store being all borked (which it seems like it definitely is since people who shouldn't be getting charged tax, are).

@Cora Regina Oh.  Well, in that case, it might be helpful if Daz, who actually knows what places they are obliged to tax, would list that info for users, so loads of people would know if they're  getting taxed because now the site has been updated and is adding taxes where needed to comply  --or-- they'd know that it is really just an error;   giving the info would be nicer for users to not have to guess whether a tax is new but legitimate, or an error, and mean that perhaps far fewer people would be filing tickets to the (surely already swamped) support people.

  • My PC+ membership is showing correctly as Active through 4/26/21*. However, All items in my wishlist, PC+ for a Day items, & BYOB items (which usually show as $1.99 on the sale pages). Are showing at full price. Except for New items that still have the 30% off intro pricing. This morning my wishlisted items were either 30% or 65% off.

I sure hope the sales are extended through tomorrow at least, since I can't buy anything until my paycheck comes in late tomorrow night.

*AFAIK, my status never showed as Cancelled

I noticed that the sales tax still didn't show on my cart total, but showed when I went to check out.  The receipt does not show the total, though. That really needs to be put back in. I can't recall if it was showing on the screen. I got frustrated today and just emptied my cart. This is an order from last night, the email receipt:

There are a lot of things it would be helpful if Daz would tell people, but don't. Communication and transparency are not their strong suits. That said, it's a bit much to expect them to list every single state/country/province/territory/etc. in the world and whether or not they're obligated to collect taxes there. We as customers should know what our state or country or whatever does because we live there, that one isn't really on Daz.

However, they absolutely SHOULD make a general statement to customers if their system is screwed up (which it sounds like it very much is), and charging tax either in the wrong amounts or where no tax should be charged at all. And advise customers who have been taxed incorrectly to submit a support ticket to get it sorted out, track down what places are incorrectly coded for, etc.

I remember people going crazy around here when the legislation kicked in and they suddenly had to pay taxes for online purchases. I checked back through my old Daz receipts and sure enough, I didn't have to pay taxes on purchases several years ago but at some point the company met the state's criteria and began collecting tax from me.

Yes, and that's part of the "unless the store is borked, which it obviously is" bit of what I said. You shouldn't be getting charged tax, but you are. Other people are getting charged tax on the full amount of their purchases rather than the discounted price that they paid.

It's all a big mess and clearly that's yet another hairball this disaster of a rollout has coughed up for unlucky people to step on. I'm curious to see how long it'll be before Daz cleans it up.

The links for People and Wearables, etc. work OK.

That's interesting. So would this create problems on the iPhone? Hmmm...doesn't look like those links are available on iPhone. I'll report if I don't see it on their list.

  • Log out, log back in again... Lapis Pyramid stuff: $13.32 each. (Was $9-something for each one, earlier in the day, which is also not the PC+ price.)

Filter for PC+ now does not work for me. (It was working earlier.)

Lapis Pyramid back to $9.33 again... which still isn't the PC+ price.

    ( ..•˘___˘• .. )

  • Hey, guys, wanted to let you know tonight is the last night of the Gift Card sale. It's not being extended, but we'll be moving on to new deals and sales.

Thanks for the heads up, Cris. Not a risk I'm gonna take personally but there may be some braver souls than I.

Do you know if there will there be an extension of Category sales, since PC+ pricing is broken (meaning discounts come off the wrong price), and none of the Debut or Still New releases triggers are discounting correctly, either? Saw they loaded up Category 9 without changing the copy on the sale page, and there are some things I want... but not at the prices I'm being asked.

Has word been passed on about the improper taxing of purchases for some customers? Mine was accurate but evidently something squirrely in the system and is resulting in problems that have a lot of folks really and rightly concerned.

May have been said before, but lost amid the clutter.  The "freebies" aren't "free."  No discounts applied.
