It's sort of easy to miss in today's banner as the free Victoria offer is still live, but today you can pick up a dragon/dragonesque figure for $0.00 with a new release, including Daz Dragon 3 :)

Agreed. V7 has a far more delicate type of beauty. There's certainly no reason for models with a newer G8 version to be viewed as "defunct" by any means at all (that wasn't my meaning in originally not wanting V7-5 right now although it did read that way -- my bad!). I actually love using older products, especially as there's such a wealth of historical genre content from the pre-G8 days. I often don't see a massive difference "quality" wise, and even with the really early products if you use a PA product to get the fit right for G7-8 and apply shaders they look absolutely fab in my experience :) I guess it takes a long time for good design by talented artists to date!
Also... I personally prefer working with the older conforming clothing over Dforce (is that a sin to say lol?). Dforce produces spectacular finishes, I know, but it's also produced some spectacular headaches in my experience lol...
I find that I personally often prefer the look and functionality of the G3 line to the G8Fs, as the end result of adding all those extra bones to the face often seems to be a lot of really unnatural facial expresions, and too many of the native G8 clothes tend to be a bit underdetailed due to the need to work well with dForce. Ultimately, though, it's best to have as many options as possible, with the best analogy being maintaining a well stocked tool box - you may go years using just your pliers and vise grips and never needing that 1/4" allen key, but when the time comes that you do have to use it, it's darn nice to have one on hand.

And, quite often, conforming is all you need. But at least most of the dForce outfits being sold at DAZ will still work without dF... unlike the majority of dForce product being sold at Renderosity and other sites. That's good, as while I understand that DAZ probably wanted to go "all in" quickly with dForce to avoid what happened back when they started using Optitex dynamic clothing many years back and the format never caught on due to the scarcity of products being made, at least they haven't done a complete break with the past.
On the other hand, I'm very excited about the new option to create Dynamic Chain Merchant resource that was just introduced by SWTrium over at Renderosity and look forward to seeing that tech show up in products here. When added to products like Sickleyield's dForce ropes and tubes, we're finally getting to the point where sets and props can have physics simulations to match clothing.
...I am finding a number of products though that require dForce because of components like long or flowing skirts, bloused or wide sleeves, scarves, capes/ponchos, & such. One thing I don't understand is the reasoning behind it for close fitting clothing (which is pretty much the only G8 clothing I buy right now as it pretty much works as conforming). I have found only a handful of products that actually mention in the Readme that they can be used as conforming content as well.

Every time I see a skin tight form fitting outfit that is labeled dForce... I'm just not seeing the point apparently.
For outfits that actually drape, sure, but if it's a bodystocking or something...
It gets more annoying as the 'D' section of my product library is exploding, and when I go looking for outfits there, I have to remember to check under 'D > dForce' in case the outfit was labeled dForce something something. Search doesn't always find what I need, and often I fall back on Google instead. The 1200 item limit that pops up in search occasionally is also annoying...
But that doesn't really relate to MM. I appreciated the 1 April offer, that one was pretty cool. Another four items no longer on my wishlist/in my Daz 3D Library...
MM has been pretty good but the 2019 PA sale was much more nice for me. As I don't really need anything I'm lookling (hoping) that the i13 environronments (now DOs) go on steep MM sale, the Martjin Frost now DOs flowers & plants in various products, and because, yes I lack having any yet: Mouso catalogue, BlauJaunte catalogue, and Toyen catalogue. Oh, and the Polish, Oskarson, and The Ant Farm catalogues; not that I have near the money to finish up what I want from those right away.
In order to get the extra 10% off on the gift card, do I have to purchase one of the newly mad releases together with the gift card, or can I have bought one of the items that are newly mad, seperately and still get the 10% extra off?

Just noticed that one in the 'still new' section of the MM sale page for today.
When I see the initials DQ, I immediately think of Dairy Queen. There used to be one up the street from my place, but it closed... and of course, after thinking of DQ, now I'm craving a DQ Sundae!
I guess I need to jump on those extra PC+ DO coupons this weekend, since that offer may expire soon.

scrumpdillyicious! Dillybars. Sundaes! Onion Rings! Fries! Yes, even the frame broiled burgers I don't eat anymore are good, but beyond my price range. They used to use Dennis the Menace comic strip characters for advertising. There is still one just down the street from me.
Our local restaurants are still allowed to prepare takeout orders, and the local drive thru fast food joints are also still open. Things aren't quite as bad here as in other areas, but all schools are closed, and most non-essential businesses are closed. Restaurants are sorta kinda essential as they provide food, so the health department is allowing them to operate as long as they take care when handling money, etc. Sit down dining at said restaurants is specifically prohibited.
I've been supporting one of my favorite restaurants in this way while out on food runs to the local supermarket. They've taken this opportunity to do some light remodeling/painting in their restaurant themselves while they wait for the crisis to blow over, but the kitchen is still open for take out orders. The owners are handy that way.
Our local government offices are barely open, currently operating on a 'over the phone' or 'by appointment' basis only. A number of sheriff deputies/police officers have been caught up in the virus thing though, and are of course staying home while they recover. Doctors by far are at the highest risk of contagion, and they had a story about that on the news today where 20% of the doctors had contracted the virus, and volunteers were stepping up to help fill in as best they can. But this is a MM thread, so enough about that. Think positive thoughts about our first responders!
I had some ice cream in the freezer, so I 'winged it' with an ice cream float after thinking of that DQ sundae. Mmmm butter pecan ice cream with orange soda...
Our local Chinese restaurant always had takeaway, eversince it started somewhere in the sixties already, but they now also do delivery throughout the city, which helps, as they can keep their waiters and dishwashers occupied as well now, to make those deliveries. So, gladly, that means more people who can keep working and pay their bills, as well as less people needing to leave their home and spread any virusses. They don't take cash payment though, only online payment for delivery and electronic (credit/debit card) payment for take-away.

...even being a PC member, I agree. For a while I wasn't bothering with my monthly PC coupons as I was getting much better deals.with the Flash, Coupon, and Stack Up sales.
I finally took the advice today! Got the Z G3/G8 Romantic Couple poses from today's Newly Mad & re-bought the Banana suit to trigger the $20 of freebies. Freebies were Wolf for Dog 8 and the Puppy Love poses for Mil Puppy b/c I love puppers & doggos! Can't wait to try mixing the Wolf & Lab to see if I can do a portrait of our dog, a chocolate Lab mix who has thick & fluffy neck ruff & tail from whatever-the-heck he's mixed with. Final cost: under $7.
PS: Did you mean the March PC code? If so, I used it 4 times, once early March (pre-Honorary PC promo) and then 3 times the last week of March. I believe I used the same code.
If you did mean the April code, I haven't used it yet. Am probably going to find out if I can use it 3 or 4 times this weekend. :) I have several things wishlisted that are currently on sale for under $10. (Yeah, budget woes. But that's as bad as it's gotten for my family so am grateful.)
MM going out with a whimper
Specially a very good gift card sale (before coronavirus stay at home period) and many stacked and other deals made MM mostly successful for me.

Yeah, as others noted, the flash sales were pretty cool though. As were the bonus PC+ coupons, and the 1 April banner sale. I'm guessing that the 'work from home' thing is messing with the desire by the Daz staff to do flash sales.
MM has been a mixed bag for me. A lot of times I would go to the specials pages and find a blank screen as I already owned everything on the list, so there were many days when I could have got freebies or super-discounts but didn't get anything even though I bought the qualifying items. That was no fun. On the other hand, the daily bonus products were generally good and I finally cleared out a lot of the older products from a lot of vendors, especially sets,. when they hit 72% off and I was using GCs that I'd bought at heavy discounts on top of that... yeah, when I say I cleaned out a couple of vendors, I'm not exagerating.
