    As a serious answer: you can read any thread you want, obviously. This thread is about the newly released Centaur 8 figure. If one has questions, comments, concerns, anecdotes, witty remarks... ANYTHING of substance to say on the topic, they should feel free. If a person has nothing to say except that they aren’t interested in the product, they are contributing less than nothing to the conversation.

    Just had to mention this.

    This is probably the first new pro bundle that didn't have a bunch of freebies, etc. associated with it that I bought, without even thinking about the lack of freebies until just now.  Maybe I was too excited about Centaur 8 Male and Centaur 8 Female being in the same pro bundle, but since I ended up with 18 items in said pro bundle, for what I consider a decent deal, yeah no regrets.

    Normally I agonize over the freebies, or lack of them, and have passed on a number of pro bundles as the associated deal wasn't sufficently enticing to me.  So I'm not sure what happened this time.  Essentially my brain saw 'Centaur 8' and I went into insta-buy mode!

    Hopefully Daz ties in future sales with my Centaur 8 purchase though.  Just had to share this thought.

    Well, with the current sales pushing new items to 50% off (presuming you pick up one other thing at the same time), with the discount for having both previous bundles applying to the entire cart, that's already a pretty stonking deal.

    I won't necessarily say no to freebies, as I've built up a fairly versatile library like that, but there is a lot to be said for just getting a good discount on the stuff you were actually buying in the first place.

    Awesome critter; currently onsale, and not really the kind of thing you need clothes for (although non-armors are relatively easy to retrofit from G8 to G3).

    Maybe the lack of success of a sci-fi centaur comes down to the fact that centaurs find it tricky to squeeze into a spaceship.

    Quite well, for the most part.

    (I have to admit, my first thought was Avatar, but my second was Animorphs when I saw the Alpha Centaur. Remove the mouth, add eyestalks, and add a really sharp tail at the end...)

    Granted, the Alpha Centaur looks like he has plenty of differences to really distinguish him. (And the more I look at him, the more I like him. If I ever pick up the G7 centaur, I may have to grab him, too). Wishilisting in case I 

    Now I want to see 3D rendered Anirmorphs fanart.

    Read David Weber's "Mutineer's Moon" series.  Those guys seemed to do just fine.

    Ehhh... Centaur 8 parts don't show up as additives for me. You have to load in one of the Centaur figures and then load in the skin/morphs for the human parts. Centaur 7 didn't do this. You could load a G3F figure, then load Centaur parts on top of her.

    Centaur 8 Female Outfits do not load properly. If I try to load the Outfit onto the G8F figure, anything on the Centaur part does not register that it's a valid figure ID for that outfit... and of the Genesis 8 options, I can only select Genesis 8 Male to try to fit.

    EDIT: You have to select the Centaur Body in order to load in the Accessory parts from the Centaur 8 outfits. It doesn't work if you try to load a whole Outfit onto the G8F node.

    Seems like some of this was rushed, IMO.

    The G8F Centaur took the G3F Centaur pose just fine. The human part needs to be adjusted for the Genesis 3 to Genesis 8 difference in T-pose, but the Centaur bodies react the same way.

    ok my first render of the centaur 8, using Sanjay and Chanel as the human parts. I wanna say I am a little worried about getting into trouble here as Sanjay's horse part is showing and I have asked several times in the past about this on various threads over the centaur 7 male as this is often showing regardless of pose very hard to do a decent pose and hide he is a boy horse and this pose is one of the poses included and most of the poses included as well as promos show he is a boy horse and I have never gotten an answer of whether it is or isn't allowed like said with pretty much any pose it is pretty hard to hide he is a boy horse

    I imagine because its fantasy, Centaurs are not real, its just a horses knackers you are  not showing human genitalia 

    rather like a man on a horse

    Taiyo and Niji are cool ideas, but I think the creators kind of dropped the ball by giving the human parts completely normal skin. Eleia is a must-buy for me, and I'm sure I'll pick up all the other shapes at some point.

    Wow and wow again. The top PAs does not disappoint. I have always liked items from HinkyPunk and Hellboy.

    Finally we got centaurs with smooth transition between lower horse body and upper human body.

    Aren't those breed shapes and coats (hides is not the correct terminology for the coat of a living horse, even in a fantasy story setup) very similar to the Horse 2 Pro Bundle contents?

    Pretty sure it is the same stuff, just set up to work on the horse parts of the centaur figures.

    YUP, picked up Hellboy's set right away.  I'm wondering if his blend will work on the other centaurs?  I like his the best.  The other centaurs have almost a distinct cut off between the human and horse and that's a little disturbing to me but Hellboy has it just perfectly done.  If this doesn't fit other males (and perhaps females) maybe, if sales are good for him, he can make a pack that would work with the other breeds and hides.  This is the way I imagine a Centaur should look!
