Yoiks! Well, I just created my first new page on the wiki . I think I did it correctly. I mean, it looks like it should. You guys really need to be careful about who you let rummage around in your wiki .
carrara can handle a lot of poser and ds freebies.
Yes it can. My first renders were with Carrara and I used V4, then V3. They were mostly half naked girls sitting on cars, swing, doing a cheer, or holding up mistletoe, cause I was creating a pin up calendar for my husband for christmas. Used lots of freebies for that. Carrara is a fun software package to use. To this day I use Carrara to do my fine tuning on models. But most people use Studio or Poser, It is what ever you get the hang of. It is nice that you can go across platforms sort of.

Carrara looks interesting (antique, but interesting) unfortunately, it and Bryce don't run at well (or even barely usably) on Wine .
Thankfully I picked them up for a pound or two on the off-chance - and kind of hoping the interest might help to improve both some.

Congratulations!
It didn't hurt, did it?
Just two little things:
We have templates for the different licenses at sharecg - so in this case I put
{{ShareCG-Commercial+Personal-license}}
for license. That way, you can click on it and see what sharecg has to say about that license and find all the wiki entries with that license.
Don't ask me why - I had a habit of adding the full link too and Rob went through all my entries and corrected my links to the above. I never asked why ... but as Rob knows more about wikis than I do, I am just following his example.
No you didn't. Rob wants the dead link tag to be done first then it is up to someone else to go and do the research to determine if it is really gone. If it is then the unavailable tag can be used.

OK I made an account and tried to add an image but it doesn't show.
What did I do wrong, I am not used to deal with wikis.
Looks like I get the image on the page. If you are still not seeing your change then at the top of the page under the tab called More there is a Purge. Clicking on that cleans out the cache and get a fresh copy of the page. You should be good to go. Sometimes the wiki database takes its time to update information. I have had that happen, I just wait a little bit and things settle down and all is right. Glad you see you come to the party, Xmasrose.

First off - I Lyrra Madril give the admins of the "Poser and DAZ Free Resources" wiki permission to copy the image I made for my freebies and use them on their site. This includes items distributed on various iterations of CyclopsStudio, Sharecg and Renderosity Freestuff.
Also my old "11 colors' freebies was for the old Poser Horse, NOT the DAZ horse. You guys have a wayback machine link for it, but its listed for the wrong nag, so somebody should move it over :)
And lastly .. I just updated my Mildragon skins to iray and added all the missing bits and bobs and normal maps, plus an entire new colour "Opal" The set has not yet been released, but will probably be at sharecg

Thank you very much Lyrra. I will annotate you wishes on the site. I corrected the texture reference. Oh how exciting about the Iray presets. Here is an old render I did with your textures.
I uploaded the same image twice, with differing file names because the first one didn't display. When it didn't display with the second image I tried 'purge'. Hopefully everything is OK.

If you click in the 250px link (or the image if it's showing), then the upload new version link, it replaces the prior file (with versioning so it can be reverted/rolled back) unless you change the target filename.

Thank you . I'll try that next time. I suspect the problem this time was the length of the file name.

So one of the reasons I support the freebie link project is because I get to dig around and find things. Almost like an archeologist minus the dirt. So today I spent my time playing around with a couple of body textures by Cris Galvao for Victioria 2. I wasn't around then so it is like Christmas to me when I find these little treasures. All you get with these freebies are the files that go in the diffuse parameter and only for the body. What with there being skin exposed you are limited by what colors you can use on the head. So I thought why not see if a geo-shell would work. And sure enough it does. Now I don't have to worry about matching hand skin to face skin. And the best part I parent the geo-shell to victoria 2 and it follows anywhere she goes. Sweet! So to make this project work you will need to make a tranparency file that leaves the suit textures but removes everything else. This means I put white where I want to have something to show and black where I don't. I selected V2 and created a geometry shell. On the geo-shell I go to the surface tab and for the skinbody parameter I put the suit diffuse texture and for the opacity parameter I put the transparency file. If you want to try my example out here is the link to the body textures: http://crisgalvao.free.fr/downloadsB.html, The pose pack I used for the pose: https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/7_poses_inspired_by_painting_of_Boris_Vallejo, the hair:https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/Kyoko_Hair_MK-3 and the textures: https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/Serenity_%26_Death. Below are two samples the first using the mat file and second using the geo-shell.

Thank you
being in a european timezone I didn't see this earlier. Dollygirl already made a note on the category page that all items are no longer available...
I've set the remaining items by CSI: to 'dead link'

I'm (roughly*) on BST myself
* I say 'roughly' as i keep strange hours when left to my own devices,

"I hope you don't mind my corrections"
If you don't mind my mistakes, then I certainly don't mind your corrections, Kerya. I'll try and do better next time.
Ouch, apparently there's an 'unavailable' option for those (CSI) links; sorry if I cost you any extra work.....
No you didn't. Rob wants the dead link tag to be done first then it is up to someone else to go and do the research to determine if it is really gone. If it is then the unavailable tag can be used.
Got it. I always want to go too fast.

Hi, could someone delete the duplicate image I have for https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/G2F_Vintage_Style_Dress ? I had the image not showing problem, shortened the file name and re-uploaded ... and then tried purge (which worked).
I only see one image.
is there a part of the wiki for carrara freebs?
do you have a link? thanks :)

Here is a link to the category Carrara. https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/Category:Carrara You can do a search of pages that contain the Carrara word as well.

So I found some shoes: https://web.archive.org/web/20050203181219/http://www.philc.net/freestuff_archive.htm go all the way to the bottom of the page second row from bottom, 4th column. Textures can be found on the same page as the bodysuit textures are as listed above.
That’s amazing @DollyGirl! Love what you’ve done
