Thank you. The image is done with 3Delight and I messed with the transmaps to get some fullness back in the hair. 3Delight can be so unforgiving when it comes to transmaps.
So here is another bump. Don't worry Richard and Cho I won't do this forever.
and another bump.
OK, DollyGirl or Kerya, I uploaded an image and then reread the instructions and see that I'm supposed to only use new renders, so the uploaded one has to go. I'll be danged if I can figure out how to delete an image, though. Am I overlooking something obvious? I redid renders for the product (although they look essentially the same, since nothing has really changed
), so I would like to get rid of the errant one prior to uploading the replacements. The image has not been linked to the product page yet.
Thanks.
Hi!
Go to the page
https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/File:SkatePoseSet1.jpg
Scroll down to the File history - under the table there is a link "Upload a new version of this file" - just do that for the updated render.
Thanks, Kerya. I had seen that, actually. Unfortunately, to reproduce a single file such as the one I had uploaded would require multiple renders that would then need to be edited and composited, I would prefer not to have to do that all over again purely for the sake of it being "new". Unless there are objections, I would much prefer to simply upload all the originals for the different sets (I have permission because I asked me and I said yes - they're mine
). They don't need to count towards the "not-a-contest", I just figured since the pose packs were mine, I might as well start off with them. I'll be doing a bunch of new renders for other stuff needing images as well.
I reread the Image guidelines ...
"There's no problem with you re-using your own work, of course " - so, as you got your own permission (thanks for the LOL), you can use them.
Phew. Well, I think I figured things out after some trial and error. I'm not an HTML guy, so I hope I didn't track too much mud into the house with my edits and re-edits. The good news is that all my experimentation was with my own product pages
. Now I can hopefully do some renders for others that require images, as per the original intent of the party! Toodles.
Thanks for adding pictures - by the way, there seem to be some people who are a bit confused about how to add the picture to the freebie's page. Just add the name and extension after the "image = "
like this:
| image = CookieBootzzz.png
RobKelk is so happy about the enthusiasm that he is adding another gift certificate!
I think I tried to add this scene to the 1910 Kitchen wiki page some years ago - re-rendered and added now
- and thanks to dForce the tablecloth now works too.
- Only minimal surface changes - mainly for emissive surfaces (Marshian Reflective Radiance surfaces and lights)
Oooo...that looks good, @Gaffthehorse !
Taa muchly, Mollytabby...
It's not the easiest scene set to light. I wanted to give it a nice promo image, it's a very nice set that I got a lot of use out of it when I was just starting and had nothing much in the runtime.
It's sort of the 3D equivalent of recycling toys to gift a much beloved freebie a nice promo makeover
There are a few props with it that I neglected to include in the scene though, I may upload an improvement in a little while -
There are a few more sets missing images that I've used in the past too though.
I feel the same
Freebies helped me out when I got started and doing this challenge is fun because I'm finding lots of new things too.
Hee're comes anudder one...
Had, what with all the hype about Avengers films of late. (I know, it's a different Avengers, but this is the Avenger I think of first).
jim Beck skin was about the closest I could get to Patrick Macnee.
I'm posting this one as the one on the wiki, reduced to 250pix isn't as clear.
Thank you very much GafftheHorse for participating in the image party.
Not at all, I was looking at a dry spell creatively anyway. An outside purpose is just what was needed.
Thanks - uploading bigger pictures is good!
Even when the big picture only shows at 250 pixels on the page of the freebie, you can click on it and see the big picture.
Took me a little while to work out how to get it to show on the page when it was >250px, so I was reducing all my submissions to 250 initially - I've gone back and fixed.
Also it takes a little time for the page to update (or it's a browser cache issue).
Thank you for taking the time to upload the bigger pictures!
The update thing seems to be more of a browser cache thing - for me, when I add a picture and save the page, the picture shows immediately.
Does for me too,. but not if the image is > 250px (even with the |250px addition to mage line)
Gaff, you can't do much with the image line in a freebie box because the definition in the Freebie template overrides your instructions. When filling out a freebie box, you are providing the page with a set of variable names for the template which in turn takes care of everything else. The freebie page works similarly to the File: page in that the image displayed is not the original but a predeterimed default size. The File: page's predeterimed page size is 424 x 600 pixels. If the image comes in smaller then the original image the original is displayed. The Freebiebox's predetermined size is 250 x 324 pixels. So adding the additional defining variables to the image line in the Freebiebox will not work because the Freebiebox assumes that you are giving it the page name. It adds the File: to the call line but wil not recognize any other instructions. Hope this helps you.
Well I don't know what the problem is, but I seem to have to upload twice each time unless I upload an image <250px.
Second time through a different upload page, as all the image box displays is '250px' link to the second upload and the caption I gave first upload.
OK, I guess that I have been remiss in not adding the links to the uploads that I have completed to the "Party Page" on the Wiki. I'll get to it shortly as I now have 22 to add. I have given myself a little personal target over the course of the event that hopefully I will meet, so more to come. In a side note, it has actually prompted me to root out some of the content in my repository that I have had for a long time, but never got around to using. I soon won't be able to say that anymore (at least for some).
I am guessing but it might have been because your account was not correct. If you have not uploaded in say the last 5 hours you might see if the issue is still there. I know that Rob reset your account to make sure you have the correct permissions.
Oh my this is so true. I use my renders not only for the wiki but also for my smart content library. I find that I like seeing the stuff in image form and not as a category list. Breaking out some of the wonderful things I have gotten over the years makes me appriciate the work put into an item that is given away.
I'm hoping @Wilmap doesn't mind, but the last few days I've tended to focus on rendering images of her wonderful clothing. I've used them occasionally before, mostly for the freebie challenge but never really appreciated just how much work has been put into this collection. I'm now sort of hooked on seeing how the next one will render
These are a couple of my favourites so far.
I have been enjoying your renders of Wilmap's as well. She has a very good sense of how clothing should act in the 3D world.
I do like your uniformity of presentation.
Reminds me of those old mail order clothing catalogues me mum used to get in the seventies.
I know what you mean by getting into a pattern - I've found myself rendering for Syltermermaids V4s - and I know there are about a hundred of them.
