70% off items you only need to have purchased a new item in the last 3 days.

IF you buy bridgete8 pro bundle PLUS 2 still mad releases, you can choose $50 worth of Daz Original items from a list. Those items are 58% off already, so the price is obviously less than when most were only 30% off ... which results being able to get more for that $50 off. IF you add more than $50 worth of products, the overcost is divided up to all the $50 off items you have in your cart..so right now I have 7 items and they cost a bit over $50, so each one is around 90 cents each.... still a good deal, or I could delete one of them and get all for free.

Okay, I'm beginning to feel what everyone is talking about with the Bridget 8 sale. I could buy 13 of my wishlisted items at an extra 40% off if I had not bought Bridget 8 on day 1.

Same here...Is there any way we can add additional 40% off items, WITHOUT having to return Bridget Pro Bundle and all the other stuff we bought that day?  I'd love to add on one or two of the other newer Pro Bundles.  But, it doesn't make much sense to buy Bridget all over again.  And, it's kind of a pain to put a ticket through just so I can rebuy all the stuff that I've bought this sale.  Seriously, why not just give a purple banner to current owners (or just make it part of the Catchup sale) of Bridget Pro Bundle, that they can also buy the related items at 40% off?  I can understand why Daz might want to do a coupon instead...so the $50 off doesn't reboot...But, some method must be available so everyone who bought early doesn't have to open a support ticket.  I mean really...this is just discouraging current owners from buying any more related items otherwise.  Seriously, I was thinking of spending another hundred or so on related items if I could get the same discount that today's B8Pro buyers can get.

Hmmm...So, I guess if you really want to take advantage of the $50 off at better discount rates PLUS the newly discounted Pro Bundles, it almost makes sense to buy B8Pro twice.  I know that sounds silly.  (and I think it is a bit).  But, if you figure that the $50 off the DOs covers the cost of Bridget (and you are willing to spend the extra), you could wind up with an okay deal.

I bought a new release a few minutes ago, then reloaded my cart, prices were the same as before. It's all good though, not complaining, just had a hard time understaning. I only want some older stuff I have in my wishlist and those things are not part of the 70% off deal, I guess? So, I bought another new release with a giftcard to get the 15% off the giftcard, now I'll use the giftcard to buy a few of the older things I wanted.

Maybe its just me, but man, I wish the Bridget related sales would simply vanish. I'd be probably be buying some things, but I'm just not into Bridget and the stuff in her bundles so I'm not buying. Daz seems to do this whenever they release a new featured character, tying most or many sales to that character. Hey, I get it, but after nearly a week um, hey Daz, maybe all of the folks who are going to buy Bridget more or less have? And, if they haven't by now then probably they aren't going to? Could be time to move on and create some non-Bridget linked primary sales.

Just my two cents, adjusted for inflation.

Forget about event sales for the moment. All new releases receive a 30% discount for the first two weeks they're in the store. After that, they are full price and won't qualify for sale discounts until after 60 days. However, the various daily promotions often times have additional offers that are available as long as the banner is active, typically six days, but those can come down early. With new figure releases, the additional offer traditionally stays active for a full two weeks. (I'm deliberately not mentioning the rest of the sales formats…)

Now back to MM. Last year, Daz pulled the special offer for Edward 8 early and caused such an uproar, they put Edward back in. Throughout 2018, New figure release offers were truncated because of event sales, and that angered a lot of customers. People have grown used to the two week period for the new figure offers, often times counting on the offer to stay live until their payday.

The way I see it, the problem isn't that the Bridget 8 promotion is still live. Rather, the problem is it's too tightly bound to the March Madness sale. Beyond being a "Key" item, it shouldn't have any effect on the discounts of sale at all, (imo.)

Another issue is the free content for buying Bridget 8. The prices of the qualified items fluctuates from time to time, making it possible to get more free items some days than others. Prior to Genesis 8, I don't recall there being all this free content with a new figure release. So in the days prior to Genesis 8, the event sales didn't have as much of an impact on the new figure offers, if any impact at all.

Yes, definitely left a sour taste: good example of an 'own goal'.

Specifically, the big problem is that there's been no offer of note BESIDES the Buy Bridget promotion, and the fact that the offers aren't being opened offered to PRIOR buyer of Bridget (other than key discount) on the one side, and that the key discounts have overwhelmingly been tied to Bridget on the other side means this sale has acheived the rare hat trick of penalizing both the people who bought Bridget earlier AND the people who just don't want to buy Bridget.  On top of that, there was a screwup on DAY one that kept people who DID buy Bridget from being able to use her as a key item that day once they'd made their initial purchase and then the purple bar offer a few days later was boggled up on top of that.  It's really been appallingly how poorly thought out this MM has been and one can only wonder if perhaps everyone who had a brain in the DAZ marketing department had a stroke and the enitire thing is now running on a badly programmed A.I.,

  • I wish they would have done some kind of theme thing; a week of Bridget, and all the new goodies.  A day or two for older content, (no harm for the 'new stuff' people who could still be playing with their newly acquired Bridget dolly and her toys).  A couple of days of just interesting new things, perhaps a theme sale as they did (a day of flash sales, a day of weapons, whatever).  A day of 3Delight-friendly stuff (you guys could spare us die-hards a day, couldn't you?) A day or two rewarding PC members with some goodies... then on to another week or so with whatever massive new toy you have planned... everyone would have felt a little love, then.  Each sale would have been different, non-reliant on the previous.  No one would have felt shunted, penalized, or preyed upon.  You could even repeat the cycle, to catch all the people waiting on paycheques, or who missed because of time-changes and other clock-related issues.  Max happy, all around. :-)

Yep I would love to be able too pick up Tasha 8 Pro and Nix 8 Pro with the extra 40% off; but I already purchased Bridgetteb8 Pro earlier. I also kind of turns me off from wanting to buy anything else.

IF you have the extra money, then keep buying Bridget 8 every time you want the discount. If you're not buying her to get extra items from the $50 off, then only get Bridget 8, plus what you want. Then put in a ticket with screenshots of your side-by-side carts with and without Bridget 8 Pro Bundle. Ask for a refund on Bridget 8 Pro Bundle, noting that it IS NOT a return, and Bob's your uncle!

...the trouble with that is the refund doesn't go back to your bank account but becomes Daz credit.  When you are on a fixed income like I am, that is not a good option.

Store Credit is the default, however, you can request the refund go back to the payment source.

I wouldn't know, actually, as I've always specified where to put the refund in the initial post. I do that, of course, because of a similar conversation in the forums way back when.

For whatever it's worth, I have also had the experience that if I don't specify how I want it, I have gotten store credit. I think one time ever I was asked if that was OK first before they did store credit. I'd personally recommend specifying up front to be cautious.

...yeah but it takes time to post and if you have bills due you can come up short. Not about to pay a 35$ overdraft fee.

    Yeah, there is that.

The only time I buy product twice to get the better deal is when the funds I'm using are already Store Credit.

I sincerely hope so, and that Sales simplifies the last half of this March-Mehness. What an utter waste of people's time it's been so far - mostly us and Customer Support!

In some ways I find it appalling that this works. So I lose out because I don't want to create work. Seems very short-sighted to me.

Is this (buying Bridget again) still working? It didn't seem to change things for me.

(And I feel shabby doing it)
