Here's my entry. It is called "Where's the Girl? Or the Failed Rescue"
It is a reminiscese of the sciece fiction movie "Forbidden Planet". Though I am not sure, if my picture is understandable for someone who does not know the movie poster. There is a bit of postwork. I added the question mark.
Robby is a quite an old model I made nearly ten years ago according to a great tutorial of Clyde236 (You can find Clyde's picture of Robby on renderosity.com, but I am not sure about the tutorial) Then I forgot Robby for quite a while, but thanks to this competition, I remembered it again.
Sorry, folks. Didn't circle back often enough to see this, or the offer of more time. I definitely would have tried to update my second entry by changing my import method. Thanks for including it anyway.
adbc, horo, yellowpen, henryhor, drachenlords, mermaid010, ed3d, Thanks for the comments
...and henryhor thanks for the reference to the Kempelen Chess Player Turk... I had to look it up but a great hoax story...
@electro-elvis... Great Robbie from Forbidden Planet...
Good luck to everyone... another fun challenge

Well, I'm sure this is not new information to the rest of you, but I have discovered that I would have just wasted everyone's time if I had asked for more time to use the Studio bridge for my silent running robot. Here, I've tried to preserve shaders for an object made with spline models by exporting to Studio first compared to just directly importing in Bryce. You can see that the direct Bryce import preserves at least the base colors while the Studio import is just default gray.
zz01 jetsons maid in Studio import with no textures and surfaces list awful.JPG
drachenlords, great reminds me of all scifi where future ends bad for humans, but good for robots
nice asimo renders,a a realistic robot I seen on tv,reminds me of Marvin the robot and that a robot maybe needs to walk back all those miles to earth when the humans forgot him
nice tinman, you didnt forget to give him a heart, because we dont want him to risk his life from being killed by wicked witches and their underlings
@Cholole, I am inspired by something scifi movie/tvshows about Robots way of thinking that I want to make a render based on,if they got away with it,I think should be allowed to get away with it?

mtnmen : original idea, well done.
Electro-Elvis : great use of robby, very cool render !
mtnmen - with all the data collected from any visitor we have already robotic fortune telling. Very nicely done.
Electro-Elvis - cool, yes, sometimes turning around isn't such a bad idea. Nice robot.
Does anyone need any extra time?
mtnmen: cool Idea and very well done.
electro Elvis: Nice Robot, I like him.
Chohole: when someone needs more time, so maybe I can begin working for a third entry... but, for me alone more time is not necessary.
@ Electro-Elvis: remember the poster (also saw the movie). Very well modelled.
@ mtnmen: reminds me of the Kempelen Chess Player Turk. Not sure about his predictions but very well done.
