The 450 watt power supply in my computer only has four SATA power connectors.  I need to buy a new power supply before I upgrade the video card.

    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/12/19/facebook-gave-amazon-microsoft-netflix-special-access-to-data-nyt.html

    • Facebook said in a blog post Wednesday it allowed other big tech companies to read users' private messages, but denies it did so without consent.
    • The post came in response to a New York Times investigation published Tuesday that said Facebook granted tech companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Netflix and Spotify special access to users’ personal data including private messages and contact details.
    • Facebook said it enabled partner companies like Spotify to access users' private messages after a user had signed into Facebook through the partner company's app.

Non-complaint:  I mentioned liking real reality shows, there's a series of clips on YouTube called "Stop a Douchebag".  It originates from Russia and is in Russian with English sub-titles.  It's a Russian youth movement to shame traffic offenders who drive and park on pedestrian sidewalks which seems to be a rampant situation over there.  Some of the offenders get a bit too defensive (and that's putting it mildly) and sometimes will draw guns or tire irons.  But the group tries to remain non-violent yet immoveable from the walk.  When someone won't comply they stick a large sticker on the passsenger side windshield.  The sticker says (in Russian), "I Spit On Everyone, I drive where I want".  If the offender continues to refuse to leave the sidewalk they paste a sticker over the driver side windshield.  Attempts to quickly tear the sticker from the glass only succeeds in raggedly tearing about 10% of it.  The police are sometimes called, either by the offenders or the youth group, and usually convince the offenders to leave but sometimes issuing tickets or carting the offender and or a couple members of the group to the station to make formal complaints.  The most vocal offenders are (you guessed it) entitled women.  The most violent offenders are (you guessed it) thuggish men.

...I wish there was a similar movement here in Portland regarding cyclists and those electric shared scooters on the sidewalks, particularly after my little accident the other weekend, I am even more concerned about being clipped or hit from behind by a careless cyclist or scooter rider. It is impossible to hear either approaching due to ambient traffic noise alone (I also have tinnitus which makes it even worse).  The city has gone far out of its way to make cycling more attractive and safe on the streets and regulations state that the scooters (as they are powered) are prohibited from the sidewalks (only special mobility devices like powered wheelchairs and mobility scooters are allowed but they tend to be more stable and don't travel as fast).

You mean a regular person?  Good question.  Measuring blood oxygen saturation is helpful in diagnosing some health issues at a doctor's office.  A nurse notice low blood oxygen saturation when I had a bad heart valve.

It is too cold outside for this little leopard print jacket.  I hope someone is home by time I get there.

My taxi is late but it is too cold to wait outside.  I thought they would be here by now.  At least I visited the lady’s room while waiting,  but hopefully they did not come and drive off while I was there.

Home now.  I had a dream last night about Sylar or was that an idea if Sylar met Kurt Wagner?  Wait was there any connection between the late Stan and the show Syler was in?

My idea was that a Sylar like Character met Kurt Wagner and then later used the name Kurt Wagner as an alias.  Kurt is not that character's real name.  I do not know his name like this Doctor lady in a show I have seen and I do not remember what her name is.

What is that Doctor Lady's name?  I do not know??  Who?

Oh, lord.  I just finished episode 6 of GOT and I think I've discovered the method behind the writer's madness.  Crush all glimmers of hope whenever they rise. frown   No good deed goes unpunished.  This will get old very quickly.

I got some tv shows on Microsoft Movies and TV account.  It is on a different Microsoft account than I use to log in on my computer.  I have some movies on both but all the tv shows are on that particular account.  I had Season 1 of Heroes on DVD but I cannot find it anymore, but I do have Heroes on my Microsoft account with all the tv shows I have.  Why it is part of the conversation is that I only have one season of GoT, but 6 seasons of Walking Dead. I find that interesting because I have only seen one or two episodes of walking dead.  I might need to change that.

My question is that is better to stream or download the videos?  With the Microsoft movies and TV I think I can do both and use my tv as a second monitor to watch it, but I am trying to decide which one is better.  Of course I can download a few episodes and after I watch it delete it and then download a few more.

I need to go take a shower instead of trying to figure out the best way to watch Heroes or Walking Dead or the other shows that I got but for some odd reason never saw.  I do have the complete series of Smallville.  Wow!  Also True Blood.  Gotta go shower.

My neigbour/neighbor loves fireworks. And they've been setting them off every night since Christmas. Got a few semi adopted, outdoor semi-feral cats who are racing for the garage cat door, (which I open during 'ilegal firework season'. Our backyard looks like the north star. I have every light on the property on so my birds don't break their necks during cage fright and my tiny little dogs tremble, shake and shiver with every bang. But I shouldn't complain because according to the city that is how we got three rescues from the pound. They ran from their homes on New Years Eve.  Ironically my three yorkies two under 4 ilbs, don't mind fireworks at all.

Someone from the medical labratory left a voice mail on my machine.  I couldn't understand what the secretary was saying. I should return the call soon.  Hopefully I will reach the correct department.

Was the problem accent, speed, volume, or frequency?  I have trouble with all four.  I have to watch British TV shows with captions turned on, I have to ask young store clerks to slow down and repeat their canned messages in a human rate of speed,  I can't enjoy a movie at the theater anymore because it's either shattering my glasses with the volume or everybody in the scene is whispering, and tiny little women just move their mouths making high pitched squeeky sounds that only dogs can hear. frown  Don't get old.  The discount at the movies isn't worth it. sad

MAJOR COMPLAINT:  Excruciating pain, pain, pain... in my lower back today.  Can hardly move.  Heating a bowl of chilli for supper took 20 minutes, 5 to get out of my recliner chair and hobble 15 feet  to the kitchen, 5 to get the chilli into the bowl, 5 more to get the chilli out of the microwave and onto the kitchen counter, and 5 more to carry the bowl 16 feet to my computer desk.  Wincing and grimmacing, and yelping all the way.  crying  I have a high pain tolerance (believe me) but I'm walking like a sideways kinked question mark, using 4 inch steps each time I move my legs.  What did I do to my back?  Hell, I don't even remember doing anything, it just started screaming. angry

Now that I'm at my computer desk, I can only stay for time to read and reply to this thread because of the pressure on my lower back and it will take 5 minutes to get up out of this chair and hobble back to my recliner.  But I first have to make a journey to the kitchen to return the bowl to the sink and to get some water.  Arghhhh..... crying  And I'm completely helpless without my cane.  Ever tried to carry hot chilli wielding a cane and traversing beautiful oriental rugs while spasming in pain? indecision  So far the rugs have been safe.  So, I guess the pain isn't that bad. frown

...ow, I get that once in a while as well.so I can understand what you are going though.  Indeed it makes many routine tasks a struggle. Take it easy.  Do you have a heating pad or just the electric blanket?

I think the problem was with the phone's volume.  She spoke so softly.  I couldn't hear the soft syllable correctly.  Maybe she was holding the phone far away from her mouth.
