I'll give the foot neutralizer a go. I didn't fuss much with the render. Bought the outfit at the same time as Sahel so this is my first use of the boots.

Oh cute dress. May wanna try the feet neutralizing morph for shoes like that to minimize distortions. Or maybe you did already and that's just how the boots look? Shoes in general just cannot cope with my foot sculpts that veer too much from the default.

    Hi,

I did a quick render of Sahel. It probably should have "cooked" a little longer and the dress probably could have benefited from more d-force simulation...but I wanted to share smiley She's awesome!

It installed to People/Anatomy for me.  Moved to correct location.

Beautiful character but I think it causes a lot of warnings in the DS log  (DS 4.10.0.123 beta 64-bit, Win10).

That's weird, there seems to be a mixup in folders. Did it install to /People/Anatomy instead of /People/Genesis 8 Female/Anatomy? If so move that folder over as a quick fix. I'll have it checked out.

OMG I LOVE her makeup!! Please can you release some kind of makeup pack it's so hard to find good makeup!

Oh? Haha thanks. That's strange though, I would have considered this to be a weakness of mine. I feel like Homer inventing the makeup gun which shoots random colors into Marge's face.

It's very subtle, which is a big plus for me! Most of the makeup here is WAY too extreme.. I mean you included a couple nude lip tones, that alone blew my mind!!

And in case anyone was wondering, she makes an incredible fashion model!

I'm going to render these out properly and add them to my photography portfolio.

Changes I need to make; Longer render time, add photographer to camera for realistic eye reflections and try to maybe D force the swimsuit.

The makeup on all your characters is superb. It looks very real and works with the characters' faces instead of overwhelming them. And personally, I don't mind the body and head not being offered as separate dails since the character herself is so unique and beautifully made.

  • Yeah, I was thinking Jessica Alba too.

    Milley Cyrus???

  • Outstanding character and amazing skin! Really well done!!! <3 :)

I have to admit that the single body/head shape is a pretty big buzzkill on a incredible looking character. I still bought her because she truly stands out, but I do wonder how she will take to other shapes. I tend to dial the body out of most every model I buy. If this was any other character I would not have bought her on this basis alone.

Anyway, I was about to say that one of the only giveaways she is CG in the promos are her perfect gums and teeth. But then I bought her and I see she has an alternate tooth shader as well. It seems you thought of everything!

Sahel has some of the most natural feet I have seen in any Daz character. Daz has pretty much neglected feet for a very long time. I don't know how possible it would be, but I would happily buy a product that offers HD morphs and textures for just hands and feet. (Like the normal and roughness maps.) I know some exist, but I don't think they look like this.

    Here's my rough renders.

I just wanted her hand in the render to show off the detail. Her hands even have prints on them, sort of, it seems the fingerprint print has been blurred...I suppose to avoid any chance of matching a real one? I'm intrigued at how the textures are done for Sahel. No dedicated trans map, no typical dark gray bump map. Just 3 maps: diffuse, normal, and a "roughness" map that is in the dual lobe settings. Really cool. I'm going to try to learn from these, because BJ is on to something.

Another vote for separate head and body. I usually don't buy "fixed" characters.

Quick render to say thanks for a great character (sep head and body would make her even greater, hint, hint)

This is 76% Sahel with a bunch of other morphs added to get her more to what works for me. I wanted to test out the smile and this scene worked for that also. I also addded a little more sheen to the skin as it was too flat in this lighting. I do love the skin detail though

Wow that looks great. There goes the Karuki treatment. Thought you might like the slender body and long hands angel

Nude lips tones, I had to google what that even is haha. I approach that stuff purely from a color perspective, I guess that's not the worst thing to do. Glad you guys like it.

Great how you brought out her skin detail. The teeth are  bit of a story on their own. They were much whiter at first. Ss I started to render more, I realised they were way too white so I made them  darker. And then again sometime later. And again a third time. And then much later when I hadn't looked at the promos for a while, I saw they are STILL too white... so I ninja'd in a second preset that is now called "natural teeth". Even that looks too white in some renders but yeah... CG is a pain sometimes. Not made any easier by the fact a lot of people especially in the US do have enormously whitened teeth smiley

I'm soooooo glad you made her look natural ...  teeth and everything includes. And I, too, would like to see partial morphs available (Hands, Feet, Smile, teeth) or easily usable for other characters (Or are they, and I just didn't realise?)

Yeah I guess I knew all along I should separate head and body again, except when it just doesn't make sense like for Faye and Young Lyra. So I think I'll do that again. You win. As for other partial morphs I probably won't do that though. The feet are the exception simply because I need to provide a foot neutralizing morph for shoes to fit (unless shoe makers were to start adding support to my figures). So by dialing that to minus values you essentially have a way to give the feet to other characters.

The smiles or whatever expressions may come will never be tied to a character, they will always be usable on anything. They may not always look great on all faces of course, but that can't be helped, or rather is actually kinda the idea behind customized character expressions :)

What's included in the recent update? I'm getting only 30-50KB/s with DIM and this will take a long time.

Ah so the fixes are up huh? Great. It was discussed earlier, some filename and folder errors. So check you DIM or redownload the zip.

  • .

     ...head and body going together?

Anyway... if it's unacceptable I'm sure you guys will let me know. smiley

It significantly lowers the value of the item for me, so that means it gets wishlisted and maybe picked up in a deeper sale later instead of certainly grabbed now whilst new.

Otherwise it seems a superb product. Premium quality at a premium price, selling like hotcakes - the PA and DAZ holy grail.  Congratulations!

Ooh, and hints of Scarlett Johansson in that smiley face, along with the others mentioned.

I am totally in love with Sahel. She is the most beautiful and realistic character I have ever seen. Usualy I don't buy females, but she was an instabuy for me. :)
But now I have a problem:
I used DIM to install the update from today. But it seems that the LIE preset for "No Brows" is gone today. I remember that I have seen something like that yesterday. Does anyone know why it is gone? Or how I can get it back?

Bleh... that does seem gone now. I'll drop them a mail.

I have a render! (of course she comes with a great smile so I make her glare at the camera)

Even though the morph is head and body, it still mixes really well. As this uses the sahel morph about 40% and then lots of other things.

The textures are great though. I just barely tweaked a very few settings to my tastes. And I left the eyes completely alone, which given how obsessively I tweak eyes pretty much never happens.

Also first completed render since I got a new functioning power cord for my laptop woo!

She could definitely beat up a lot of the men I render...

Thanks for the glorious smile bluejaunte. Tried an old hair, but it broke the illusion. Anyway:

I agree that some more naturalistic feet morphs would be welcome. Will have to check this one out!

  • I absolutely love this character.  Nice job!  Here is a very low sample Octane render.

It is extremely rare I buy a figure when they are not separated.
