I could really use open fields ... good for farm lands and crops. Not mountainous or overly hilly. Maybe with some wild grasses or wildflowers. How hard would that be?

Agree to that one too. FMs Easy Environments are like Pokemons, collect them all ;-)

...but...but...I am still kinda busy with YOUR requested night set... ;)

Open fields / farmlands have been requested a while ago, I believe it has slot 57 on my todo list.
Current planning is finishing the night set, having the vacation I wanted to have when I started the night set, experimenting with woods.

Oh, and just to have it dropped here in case anyone missed it...There was a free skysphere hidden in the shoebox =)

Can I help it if I want an Easy Environment for every book cover I do? Or that I have a steady stream of projects? Although, I must admit, my to-do list isn't quite as long as yours, lol.

I will try to patiently await your products and keep throwing ideas at you as my own project needs arise :D

I am glad for any ideas you throw ;)
The amount of stuff to do can be a bit overwhelming (albeit I don`t think it`s up to 57 yet...), but after all it`s great to have projects for years.

Oh, and I need a good looking cloud prop. Not small ... Close to the size of the Greenlands in terrain. It would make a nice add-on to Top of the World, or maybe a cloud colony Easy Environment, but not as mountainous as ToW. Something I build cities and castles on with appropriate shadow capabilities.

You may already have that on your list, too ... lol.

Knowing what your customers want is half the game. Right?

It's good knowing you can keep making money at this for quite some time.

As surrounding "environment", or do you mean a cloud to place something on it?

A cloud or clouds I can actually place objects or people on. Maybe a Easy Environments: Olympus or Heavens ... lol.

    Make sense?

Is it even possible to create a prop that can effectively represent a cloud base or structure that looks good in Daz?

Well, clouds are usually done with particles, which afaik are not part of base DS right now.
One could try to layer transparent maps like mad, but I don`t know how that would turn out.

    Hmmm.

Maybe a bubbly or fluffy prop with a snow shader?

  • FlipmodeFlipmode Posts: 924

    Don`t think so ;)
But now that you said shader, maybe a fog shader (e.g. like AoA did it for his volumetric cams) could be bound to geometry somehow.
That`d be one for the shader experts though, myself I don`t know much about it.

While I'm at it, my latest EE scene ... a YA mystery novel ... featuring Road to Hell (http://www.daz3d.com/easy-environments-road-to-hell). Just waiting on final go-ahead, as well as the blurb, from the author before posting to my blog and website.

I keep sending people from the Rendo galleries to this thread, so I figured the links may help promote sales for ya, FM ;D

    nothing to thank for :)

a question, what I allways wanted to ask you but forgot. how did you made the skybox of this stunning set? photos from a journey? ;)

    Yes of course!
My monthly schedule is 25 days adventuring and 5 days throwing together sets from my spectacular journeys to finance the next month.
The trip for the solar system set was spectacular. ;)

In case there was seriousness to the question ... all EE skyboxes are renderings, there is no photo material used at all.

so you first have to create the world(s) with, I don`t know, bryce? vue? terragen? or so?

Sorry for the late reply ...haven`t been very fit the last days.

Yes, the skyboxes are all "handmade" and rendered.
Basicly all it takes is a tool capable of creating big landscapes (Bryce and Terragen are both good for that, can`t speak about Vue since I never tried it) and proper camera work.

Yep, Vue can do that too, as I use(d) that program for creating my skydome textures (and the one, simple, expansion for your set(s) )
Setting the horizontal and vertical FoV of Vue's camera to 90º makes it possible to create the 6 separate textures for the skycube with ease
(Now I just need to learn to create some better sceneries in Vue......_
