Well discounts are maxing out at %50 for me today promotions. I'm almost glad it's glitching because I was going to load up on the %70 off. I thank the cart gremlins!

It's still working fine for me, giving the full 70% off. Are you sure you have three items from the SAME category in the cart, and that category is not the software category?

That is odd, I have 3 items from each category in my cart and all are 70% off or more.

Hmm, that category restriction is nothing nice for power shoppers. Available characters: 0 of 31. Available Morphs: 5 of 42. Sure, there are still lots of lights and shaders I don't own. But being shown what crazy pile of content I already have purchased I better skip that one and wait for the - hopefully heavy discounted - G8F updates from Zev0 and Thorne.

Indeed; I seem to have one item in my wishlist from each category.  sad I'd buy a ton if the discount would cross categories. As it is I'm buying nothing...

The banner today says one day only, so we know how long today's sale will run.  More of this please!

Agreed,  I'm not going to waste my time looking at 13 different categories...

But would you be shopping in all 13 categories anyway?

Was a bit of a shock to the system to realize that, that you have to have 3 items from the one category to get the discount and not mix them....uh, not really impressed wiht that.

It makes decisions easier for me. No three items from a category? Skip to the next one. :)

Exactly. Followed by "I can only afford one category - out goes everything else until the next sale"

I'm with Nath and Ati. I found it much easier to skim through the 5-6 categories that interested me, pick out 3-5 things each, then trim the fat from my cart category by category. Much better than "100 items of content in the cart, 100 items of content! Take one out, watch the cart change, 99 items of content in the cart!" (To the tune of "One hundred bottles of beer on the wall").

Also, having passed on the V8 sale, I'm not *quite* as short on Daz funds as I usually am this time of month.

Agreed, this is a sweet sale for me. I have over 29 wishlisted items in the various categories. This is like mega A-list item fastgrab since most everything comes out to 70% off or more if you have three items.

I am going to be broke after today with this sale and the 50% off sale at rendo also on the VWD dynamic plugin

Anyone know if FaceGen Artist Pro will be supporting Genesis 8 in the near future? I want to get it on sale, but need to use it with G8 also.

I spoke to the guys at Facegen...They don't have any projection as to when G8 will be supported.  But, they're looking at it.  Those guys have been great.  So, I'm sure it will show up at sometime in the coming months.  Until then, I've been having good luck porting my FG morphs for G3 to G8 via Redz transfer method in the "G3 to G8 Morphs" thread.

I don't know what their plans are, but I have had good luck with using the transfer utility tool and Sickleyield's "favorite a morph dial and then use the transfer favorites option" trick to bring facegen-created dials over to G8. They *look* very different on G8 because the base face shape is different, but they're there.

Try using a G3F clone on G8F first, then use the Facegen morph.  It should be much closer to the G3 version.  Or try the Redz transfer method.  It has the G3F clone as a base for transferring morphs.

  • Discounts on Featured Artists don't seem to be applying correctly tonight.  The additional 40% off featured for buying a new release, is only discounting by another 30%...i.e. SY Rigged Waterfalls on sale for 8.97 should discount to $5.38 after the additional 40% off.  But, it is only coming down to $6.28.

Looks like the ad was in error, or I read it wrong...changed to "Extra 30%" today.

I'm loving the kitty girl suit today, but not those heels. I know it's fantasy, but who can move around on spikes like that? A girl needs good footing when she's scaling buildings and slinking around town.

Heels generally (but not always - sometimes the clothing style is appropriate) stop me buying a product. I didn't look at it as I spotted the heels.

The single fantasy heel option is disappointing, but at least they are separate boots. The suit is a decent enough variation on the theme, so worth wishlisting for consideration with later greater discount.

  • My wallet's about beat for the time being.  Last buy was the Lustre Hair Shaders.  I'm still learning how to use that.  But, it looks to be a good tool.  There are some nice new products out there.  But, pricing is a lot higher than I can do for just a couple of items...even with the discounts.  Besides, I haven't used more than a 10th of what I already own.  I'm starting to feel like I've bought a hundred boxes of cookies that I'll never eat before most of them go stale (become obsolete).

I do like that new alien.....(sigh).

Right there with you! The Lustre Hair was a splurge for me too but a good investment. I like the new alien too, I think she's really cool, but have to wishlist her for now.

It's working, too. But "less" is a relative term, and I think I'm still spending too much time with shopping cart jenga... though my wallet isn't squealing nearly so much as before, so I'm definitely making headway!

Is Lustre a good addition to UHT2: Ultimate Color?

  • Well, I was going to stop buying G3 characters now that G8 is out and what do they do to me? Pretty3D releases Pretty Base Next Generation. Oh my aching debit card. Hopefully I can move the morphs to G8.

some very cool items and a great sale today!

but today's banner offer "free runtime DNA item with a purchase of two or more 'free' (which i assume means 'freedom to choose') items" isn't working.  with either two or  three of today's new items in the cart, or three new items plus one item from a featured PA catalog, the price of featured RDNA item 'oceana' stays rock solid at $16.00

too sleepy to file a bug report tonight...hope it's sorted out by morning.

Yup, same thing here - although there isn't much left in the RDNA catalog that interests me, even for free.

This is the first month I didn't use the $6 off an $18 purchase too. I was going to try and squeek something in, but realized I missed DAZ Midnight by about 45 minutes.

    The honeymoon must be over.

I just got the Ophelia 7 HD Addon for free by adding two cheaper "Featured Artist" items to the cart. Seems a glitch that saved me a lot of money!

I couldn't tell you that...don't own UHT2.  I do have the IDG Essential Hair Shaders for Iray.  They work pretty well.  I haven't really figured out how to use the Lustre Shaders, yet.  But, I've seen people getting good results.

Well the head is always more appropriate anyway, and they are simple enough. I've moved about 50.

Yup, I've been focusing more on rendering and less on spending, though I still cave on the occassional product, like Hair Luster shaders. The results posted by the community were too good to not join in the fun!

is there a thread for the Hair Lustre shaders? I've been curious about them.

The freebie isn't working for me either, with two of today's new releases (braces and leather skirt) in my cart. It seems to only trigger with featured artist catalog items, not new releases
