Autumn
Just something simple for Llola Lane's monthly Render Challenge. The theme for October is "Look Up." I'm always entranced by the light and shadow play of leaves on beautiful day. I'll probably never use them, but I have a lot of photos of leaves taken much like this render depicts. (Although I always use the viewfinder, rather than the display.)

Here's another one from the same scene, with a few adjustments. Different camera, DOF, cub much further from the other leopards, and a different angle. The little fellow was just so cute, crossed eyes trying to follow the butterfly, I just had to do a close up.

Well this is about 40% an Iray render... Skin and the reflection + a simpler version of the clothing rendered in Iray. The hair, flames, and thick version of the clothing were rendered in Cycles. You can't do magic glowing strand hair in Iray.
Its fun going bech to something a pit more stylized and dramatic after a bit of a realism kick
