Playing with my fembot, which is probably something I should keep to myself around here, eh?
Iray really shined while working on her mats and rendering her in this environment.
- Greg
Just a random Easter related render this time. Not really trying out any new product here, but this was the very first time I ever used Geometry Edtor, so I guess that means this technically is a test for something new (new to me anyway).
What matters is how you play with your fembot, and so far, I see you play nicely. That may change though...
Joke aside, nice catchy render!
That's good. I wonder if the dexterity needed to eat with chop sticks also makes it easier to be a good painter or carver?
I felt ispired lately and decided to redo one of my WIP. And this is what came out. "Full sail into the morning mist" . Need a ride?
Very nice! I love the techie setup. :)
I love this! Very nicely done, wakes and all! :)
Stunning! Awesome work, 3CPO.
- Greg
Thanks, KM. It's Marcoor Control Room by @Ravnheart with a few tweaks to the emissive surfaces. Highly recommmended set.

THat looks really really good
Howard lives!
@Knittingmommy, @algovincian, @Mattymanx
Thank you kindly. I am glad you like it that much. Seems like sometimes things just click the right way.
Hey all, just thought I'd throw some of my Iray renders at ya...
Godzilla vs the JSDF(postwork in PS)
The USS CONDOR in Drydock from my fancomic Star Trek: Flight Of The Condor (hopefully will get around to actually doing it someday :) )
And an updated take on the old sci fi/ action show Street Hawk
Hope ya like!
The Enterprise Star Trek one has a nice 3D really good feel to it.
Trying out MM purchases, this time with "Fern Lake" and "Chase".
Thanks! Pretty proud of it!
Another day, another car render. Porsche 911. All is Iray except the background that was added through Photoshop.
...Iray is great for shiny, techie stuff. it's skin hair and eyes that are a real issue to get right.
...cute.
...that almost looks like a still frame from a film.
..."waaaaaagh!"
That isn't Bev Switzer's behind above him is it?
...love the Godzilla pic, looks like right out of a Toho Studios film.
Thanks! Here's a couple more...
My OC superheroine Crimson Angel
A fake film poster for Flight Of The Condor I did at the request of TheFirstFleet on Deviantart
Me as the Alt 9th Doctor on my TARDIS with K-9
...nice that is a great promo for the Star Trek comic.
So where did you get a Tardis control room? Used to have a console in the kitchen and a full sized police call box in the living room of an old house where I lived, shortly after I first moved to Portland (flat mate was just a bit of a Dr Who Geek).
Thanks!
The TARDIS bridge is a kitbash. I used the Bridge 3 set from Renderosity/Vanishing Point, Davo's SFCS, and two TARDIS consoles, the 80's console by Aldemps and the Tom Baker console by Redfern. My friend Jon made the K-9.(His first attempt at a 3d model!)
I have a console I built for a fanfilm we made back in 2000 in my bedroom! and the K-9 prop I made for the fanfilm is sitting here in my living room looking at me right now. :3 The 3d model is a blend of the prop I built and the "real" K-9 btw.
I was happy to find that AM's new squirrel was pretty easy to work with. Here it is with another new acquisition, the Roamer Bot.
...nice work there.
...so did you have to convert the fur for Iray. Picked up the full LAMH a couple days ago for 15$
Well, yeah, only way to do it in Iray.
'Easy to work with' assumes you have some familiarity with doing LAMH in Iray, as it works just like all the hair and fur from all the other stuff.
...with Garibaldi you have to first convert to .obj which really bloats the poly load. I thought I heard somwhere that LAMH converted to fibremesh instead which is a little more system freindly . I'll have to find teh LAMH thread and check it out.
