Bought the M4 Hockey set for fun as it cost almost nothing, here's how it looks with Iray Uber shaders (except M4 which has the default texture and the metal on the skates which has MEC4D 3 shaders), and subdivision.

Camp NaNoWriMo started today.  Here's a render I did of the heroine for my project.

    Millicent "Mellie" Hayes

    Great render!

I'm always amazed at all the creative talent people here have. I'm positive most people here have more creative talent in their little finger than I have in my whole body.

    Good luck with Camp NaNoWriMo!

A simple render to show the amazing Cheongsam I just bought.

The leather texture on this is quite spectacularly good.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

    Agreed, the texture is amazing!

...I've seen better here than in many Cinema previews of films laden with CGI effects.

My little flutterby queen Leela based on Princess Leila.

Used Mec4D's PBR Shaders 2 on the overalls and shoes.

Thanks.  It was a good first day.  I actually have those same thoughts when I look at the artwork around here.  :)

..thank you.  I feel I finally have the character down to the vision I've had of her for years.  T

he nice part abut the Princess Leila character is she isn't stylised, doesn't have big doe like eyes, or pouty lips, and actually looks like a teenager (especially the face), not just a smaller version of an adult figure  I also really like the skin texture and the fact you can load it sans eyebrows so you can use one of the other eyebrow kits available.

I think a that most forget that kids aren't miniture adults and that they oftentimes are akward gawky beings that have to grow into their too long legs or arms or their feet that are too big and that they keep tripping over

Your little girl is very well done

    ...thank you.

Sure took me long enough (since 2008) trying to get her right. The Gen4 days were pure heck as I had to do a lot of kitbashing with multiple characters some custom morphs, as well as manual scaling each of the different body zones. The two pains were V4's bust size which didn't like being reduced very much, and clothing as all I could use was V4 stuff, most of which was either high fashion or skimpwear, neither being very appropriate.  Hence 3D Wizard's Jeanz for V4, the MFD, and 3DU's Teen Ashley Clothing saw a lot of use as there was no autofit back then.

The Genesis concept was the best thing that ever happened.  Of course then we finally got a bunch of teen characters though they still required a bit amount of morphing to try and get rid of the "mini adult" look (YT Julie 5 was by far the best).

Using Teen Princess Leila almost makes me feel like I am "cheating" in comparison.

A set like that would have only got a cursory glance if not for a render like yours.   Your render looks better than any of the promo shots on that production page.

Thank you nelsonsmith for your kind and encouraging comment. I just happened to find this prop by chance, and had the render idea. I am amazed how well some of the older props render in iRay. It's as if they have been given a new lease of life.

Trying out MM purchases, this time with "Through the Woods", "Wear them All" and "N.G.S. Anagenessis 2". An egg from "Hoppy Easter Treats" freebie has a cameo role as one of the eggs in the girl's basket.

..again very nice.  Her skin looks so good.  The little story is great  as well.

@Musicplayer  Awesome.  Nice touch with the wine and the cigarette.  Love her expression!

Many thanks kyoto kid and knittingmommy. The March Madness Sales have inspired me to do some more artwork and rendering. I appreciate your kind comments.

    ...very nice.

Wish I could get it to render in less than a day's time.  In CPU mode all those emissive surfaces are a real killer.

Something I've been working on a while. Complete re-kin of the Hardcore M4 outfit, plus 2 kitbashed outfits with partial reskins. Another Urban Future 5 render using FW Frankie, FW Brianna (with Frankies skin darkened to save vram) and a 50/50 blend of Gypsyangel's Merrick and Sawyer with Michael7 skin. There's about 8 different outfits used to kitbash the ladies clothes and I honestly forgot what they all are lol. Plan on adding 2 more members of this crew but before I can do that I'll need to learn better photoshop compositing in post as I just barely fit this scene on my 4gb card. Rendered in beautiful 4k goodness so you can zoom in, and in, and in...  Hope you all enjoy! laugh

Also a test render I did of FW Briannas kitbashed outfit. after seeing it in the UF5 render I will probably pick some different shaders for the leg pouches and try a few more shirts, but I was happy with the way this test came out regardless. Also rendered in HD.

Edit: Forgot to mention, the poses are all Aeon Soul, I highly recommend them, very fun poses. smiley

...you did this on a 4GB card?  Wow I am impressed. In CPU mode (as I only have a 1 GB card) I am looking at a couple days rendering time due to all the emissive surfaces.
