I think the dust in my room is making me sick.  I felt fine when I went outside after the rain ended.  I should buy a cheap air filter.

I have one of these     https://www.pure-aire.co.uk/

The video  on this page is quite fascinating    https://www.pure-aire.co.uk/how-it-works/

I am sure you can find something similar, even if you can't get the same one,   but the fragrances you can use with it are lovely.

Thanks, I'll take a look at the website.

Morning. Sun rising on almost bone-dry 'hood after a night of intense thunder and lightning, how is it even possible that water from sky vanishes so fast when it gets to us?

does the name blackAdder have any significance, does Adder mean something?

The adder is the only poisonous snake in Britain. A snake in the grass is a treacherous and deceitful person. Blackadder is definitely that. You could say he lives up (or down) to his name.

...thank you, yes survived. Had the power temporarily knocked out in teh early morning hours on Friday morning while I was asleep (workstation rebooted but fortunately wasn't rendering anything at the time).  Stayed in bed until a half hour before noon as bones and joints were screaming in agony.

Multiple trees were down all over the metro area due to 60 MPH wind gusts and all the LRT trams as well as streetcar were out of commission or operating  at restricted speeds most of the day because of falling tree limbs that damaged the overhead catenary. The Streetcar wasn't back in service until yesterday (Caturday) as apparently that tree brought the wires down completely.  Just stayed inside all day listening to the windows rattling, watching the rain fall, and hoping the tree in front of the house didn't come crashing into my room.

Power as still out in some areas and streets are littered with tree branches.  Heading to market yesterday was like walking though an obstacle course (took the bus home as I wasn't about to deal with tripping over branches on the sidewalks that I couldn't see in the dark).

Wind gusts of 90 MPH were recorded in the coast range just to the west of the city.

The heavy rains also triggered a landslide about 4 miles north of Vancouver WA that halted Amtrak service to Seattle for the weekend.

Tried to open Daz Studio but instead I opened a game called March of Empires.  I know nothing about this game or how it got on this computer.

..tell the weather here that .  The forecast is for frozen water from the sky as low as 2,500' (possibly even lower) tonight.  In the Mt. Hood foothills it's been in the 20s.  Winter just keeps trying to sink it's icy claws in on us.

Meanwhile, in Milwaukee WI (where 50° would be considered "balmy" this time of year), it's been in the upper 60s all weekend.

Once my retroactive benefits come though thinking of moving to Costa Rica.  Had enough of winter for one lifetime. Crikey, it was a couple overly long cold winters in Wisconsin that chased me out here thirty seven years ago (as of May 18th).

..thank you.  Yeah one of the worst I've seen since the late 90s when we had an early December storm with wind gusts over 70 MPH.  Workplace closed early that afternoon.  Remember seeing a huge piece of corrugated metal get ripped off a shed in the old recycling yard across the street and slam into a building in the next block down as I was leaving.

It hit 67 here today!  Tomorrow and Tuesday we're expecting 70s...on Tuesday it may even approach or even hit 80!  Less than two weeks ago we had snow.    frown

...pouring rain and 50° here.  May hit 60° on Tuesday (heat  wave)  Haven't yet seen anything near 70° yet and nothing like that in our next 10  day forecast just 50s and more wet save for Saturday when it's supposed to be a "sizzling" at 62°  (we'll see, I remember last week it was supposed to be sunny and near 70 mid week and the best we could muster was 63° with drizzle on Wednesday).  Last year at this time we already had several days in the upper 60s, 70s, and even low - mid 80s.  On the 19th we nearly hit 90°.

So far we've had only 5 days of 60° or better temperatures the the highest being last week Wednesday's 63°.

Meanwhile (where it should be miserable), Milwaukee hit 75° today.
