Here (just select the character and doubleclick the icons to apply the morphs etc.):
Thank you!
Welcome
LOL. never occured to me to look in poses. Cheers.
Maybe it's for consistency - the Poser version is also located in the Pose folder in the Poser library.
I still can't stop mucking about with this product when time allows. Below is G2M, thrown through the Randomiser and then quickly textured with 'James for M5' (thanks to Slosh's UV Setter). Even without an expression he looks a lot like he's just missed a Stonemason flash sale, but I quite like him anyway.
What I'm finding most missing from the Randomiser is a search box that brings up only the morphs that the user wants to work with at the time (e.g. 'mouth' or 'aging'), as it can take a while going through the list, especially if you've built up a bit of a collection. I'd also like it if the 'Save selection' and 'Export shape' buttons could open the folder last used, rather than have the user navigate back to the folder of their own choosing each time. It would be nice if we knew that the creator knows of our comments. I miss the forum exchanges that we get with most PAs, and we're pretty harmless really - as far as I know, we've yet to eat a whole one :)
Yes, I agree. The lack of vendor participation in this thread is disappointing. It leaves little hope of getting answers to our questions. It makes me really really appreciate vendors like Zev0, who are present and willing to help. They are the vendors that will get my money every time they have a new product in the store.
I've asked for a refund; one reason is lack of feedback.
If a PA doesn't care, neither do I.
Seriously? I often have thoughts about being a PA in this community, but I would stay out of the forums as I have seen how sensitive some customers are towards what some PAs post at times. i was wondering if the PA that made this addon was reading this thread since many were posting about it's usefulness, but now I am not to sure.
Perhaps they are on holiday, it's the time of year..
I have no issues with the product; it does what it says on the tin (sure some additional functionality would be nice). But I bought two, and as they do largely the same; I decided on this due to lack of response from the PA; I know the PA from the other item posts.
Perhaps, but that means they don't have internet access?
I don't know, but a simple post: "sorry folks, I can't post atm due to..."
I agree. If I had written this tool I would have added some more features to make it more user friendly and time saving. Considering the price I also think this would be reasonable, the script is very small and probably very easy to make as far as I can judge.
Hello All,
I'm sorry I haven't checked in yet! Daz support was kind enough to point me to this thread. I'll start keeping tabs on the forums and hopefully I can make up for lost time (can I play the "First Time PA" card? :-) ).
I'm going to write up some documentation, but I wanted to see if I could address some of the issues encountered in this thread first.
About the checkboxes:
Ignore Left/Right Morphs will iognore any morph with "Left" or "Right" in the name. It doesn't catch all possible asymmetrical morphs, but it catches a lot of them :-)
Randomize Selection will will randomly choose which of your selected morphs to apply. For example, let's say you have selected all of morphs under "Face." With Randomize Selection unchecked, every morph under Face will be affected every time you click Randomize. With it checked, only some of the Face morphs will be affected (the plugin will randomly choose among your selections, 50/50 odds of any given morph being utilized). Try using this if you want each randomization to be less similar from one to the next.
Zero Before Randomizing will reset the value of each selected morph to 0 before proceeding to apply the new random value. With the box unchecked, the new random value will be combined with the previous value. The effect is that, unchecked, you are adding to your previous results when you click Randomize. With it checked, you are starting with a clean slate each time.
A quick note on saving shapes:
Export Shape calls up Daz's built in "Save As Shaping Preset" dialog, which will respect your "Use Limits" settings. If you click the dropdown by a figure's name in the "Shaping Preset Save Options" dialog, you can specify which morphs you want saved to the preset.
I'll start checking in on the forum and on this thread, thanks all!
Thank you! I am having a blast with this. I do know that you can save your presets once you select them (for instance, if you select all of the female morphs) then you can load that preset from the load presets option. So once you have a set you like you can save and load later.
Thank you for joining the conversation!
For me, Zero Before Randomizing does not work as you describe. Even if I leave it unchecked, I cannot get it to add to the previous result. First I dial the range all the way to 1 and make drastic changes to my character. Then I dial the the range down to a very small number, to make minor adjustments to my last random shape. It does not make small adjustments to the last random shape, it looks like it is resetting the character back the the state where it was first loaded and making small adjustments to that initially loaded shape. Even with Zero Before Randomizing UNCHECKED, it acts the way you say it should act when it IS CHECKED.
Thank you for the screenshots! I'll dig into it and see if I can sort it out.
Works nicely with Power Pixie

Great renders, Artini!
Another quick update for everyone, I've fixed the issue with changes not being cumulative when "Zero Before Randomizing" is unchecked. You should now see your new results combined with your previous results. I've submitted the update to Daz and they will publish it as soon as they've put it through it's paces, so keep your eye out in Install Manager for an update (my first time doing this, not sure exactly on the timeline, but hopefully not long :-) ).
While I was at it, I added an Undo button! It's just one level of Undo, but I saw a few requests for it so I wanted to get a solution implemented. The button will show up when you click Randomize and it will let you go back to the previous result.
Thanks all! Would love to see some more renders of your results! :-D
Wow, thanks for the Undo! Sometimes when playing with this I get a little click happy and don't realize till I passed it, that I just passed a character I really like. Great work on this, I love playing with it.
Thanks, Simtenero.
Below are 4 more Pixie renders with different textures applied.
Works great with morphing props, like Poisen's Omni Hat.
Great example
I'm very much looking forward to the fix and undo enhancement. Thank you very much for listening to us and acting quickly to fix the product.
Here is a fantastic Genesis 2 Female lady I made today. She is a mix of a lot of people head and body morphs for the most part. I reduced the iris size and added the pose and expreession. Other than that, she is straight out of the randomizer.
I don't think the randomizer export process is behaving as described above. Above, it says "Export Shape calls up Daz's built in "Save As Shaping Preset" dialog, which will respect your "Use Limits" settings."
For me, the export does NOT seem to respect my "Use Limits" settings. The saved preset file has all sorts of parameter values that are outside the limits of their respective morph sliders. When the randomizer is run, the limits are respected, and the morphs displayed in the Currently Used section are all within limits. But, when the saved export is reapplied with Limits Off, the shape does not match the originally exported shape. The Currently Used section now shows all sorts of morphs with values outside the limits. If the limits had been respected during the export, reimporting with Limits Off or Limits On should have been identical, I would think.
Look what happened to my lovely lady when I reapplied the exported shape with limits off. She has turned into a drag queen.
I just noticed that none of my exported shaping presets have icons. It sure would be helpful to have the icon, like the one that is created with the normal Daz saved shaping preset.
I've noticed that have to save the character as a character preset to get the same shape; can't just save the morphs.
BTW, I was going to return the product, but its too cool. :)
I just save the whole character. If I like it enough to want to keep it I might as well just make it permanent.
I find it quicker to save them as a subset than a preset; takes up slightly more disk space, but not much. So likewise. :)
Ah I am still new enough I am not sure I know the difference?
Hadn't bothered with character preset until a week or so ago - tried it to see if I prefered it. I didn't but is useful to know about.
