Thank you Hansmar.
Thanks Horo for the comment and the link; I think I have the pdf.
Thanks Hansmar
mermaid - good. Happy experimenting.
The terrain is from Grand Mountains with an adjusted material from High Resolution Terrains 3, the water is the ground plane with a material from High Resolution Terrains 4. Sky and ambient light by the ErmClouds03_SD HDRI from Sunless HDRI Skies and the key light by the sun.
Wow fantastic, very realistic scene Horo.
Thank you mermid.
Extremely good terrain render, Horo!
Thank you Hansmar.
Beautiful work everyone! Too many gorgeous pieces of art to comment on all. Thank you for sharing.
As Mary knows, my hubby is losing his memory so we took a trip up to Cass Lake, Minnesota where we have fished for decades. This is the last time. The drive is long and hubby had trouble keeping the ledges while fishing. Just trying to get our vacations in before we aren't able anymore. Sorry that it takes me away from you all.
NGartplay - thank you. I am very sorry to hear that your hubby is losing his memory. I had my mother and my older sister losing their memories. It is a very sad experience.
The objects are from left TwistedCubeLoop1 and TwistedCubeLoop2 from Fifty Funky Shapes and Fifty Funky Metals with materials from 50 Metals The Treppenhalle Set. They stand on the ground plane with some transparency and some reflection. Background and ambient light by the Geo_grid4a HDRI from HDRI for Fun and the key light by the sun. Two differently twisted two-part metallic cubes.
Thanks NGartplay. I was going to email you, then realized maybe you went on a trip. Welcome back.
Two nicely presented TwistedCubeLoops Horo.
Thank you mermaid.
NGartplay, thank you. Sorry to hear about the memory loss of your hubby. Make the most of the remaining possibilities.
Horo, Fantastic textures on these funky shapes!
I was inspired by the recreation of a picture by Electro-Elvis. Some time ago, I (more or less) recreated 'Nighthawks' by Edward Hopper. I decided to scroll through the book on Hopper that I have and found the painting 'Rooms at the sea'. I decided to recreate this. The texture on the walls was a bit smoother than I intended, but I decided to leave it like this. The boy in the doorway (from one of the DAZ people) is not in the Hopper picture, but I thought it would fit in the general Hopper vision.
Whatever I tried, I did not get the lighting on the walls/floors as in the original picture. But I realise that the artist did not recreate reality, but provided his vision on a situation and may well have made the lights more dramatic in a way we cannot (or I cannot) recreate in Bryce.
Hansmar - thank you. Very nicely done scene with the boy in the doorway.
Beautiful work Hansmar, I was not familiar with Hopper's work, I looked it up, you did an awesome job recreating that scene.
Thanks, Horo and mermaid010.
And I created another work after Hopper. This is 'Woman in the sun'. In Hopper's painting she does not wear any clothes, but that is not allowed on this site, so I clothed her. Also, I did not make an effort to create the bed with the messy sheets. I just looked for a bed that slightly resembled the original.
Hansmar - again a very nicely done scene. Like mermaid I am not familiar with Hopper's work.
Lovely scene Hansmar, thanks for mentioning the 'nude' bit, I'm a bit conservative, so I didn't compare.
The terrain was self made and given a material combined from Landscapes under Fantastic Skies and Gritstone Hills. The clouds are by the CloudSphere6 from the Sky Toolbox and the ambient light by the belonging SkySC6 HDRI and the key light by the sun.
Another outstanding landscape Horo
Thank you mermaid.
While I'm experimenting with the TreeGrass; a simple render using random reflecting spheres and an Hdri from Hdri Scene 4 by David.
mermaid - very nice experiment with the mirroring spheres and the "Plaine Morte" HDRI (I took the photos on 8 July 2010)..
Thanks Horo.
Great landscape, Horo.
Very nice weird picture with the reflecting spheres, mermaid010.
I created a scene mostly with elements of the 'Smoke and mirrors' tutorial, including several 2D trees and a 2D background. The lady is V3 with her sun armour. I added some trees for grass and the sky is from the fantastic skies set. Because quit some of the 'trees' from 'Smoke and mirrors' are only trunks, I used a simple tree above the scene (rotated) to create shadow of foliage on the ground.
Hansmar - thank you. Your newest render above v3sun_armor looks great, I also like the mood given by the blue background.
The city is VAW City by Drachenlords/lordi. It is within a Fading Mirrorbox with the camera looking down through the Gigantic Wide-angle Lens (GWL) from Lenses and Filters and covers here diagonal 242°. Sky and ambient light by the unpublished ErmClouds09_SD HDRI and the key light by the sun. A metropolis seen from above through a fish eye lens.
Thanks Hansmar, very nicely done scene using 2D and 3D. I'm not familiar with the "Smoke and mirrors' tutorial, is it a product?
Fantastic idea Horo. awesome result.
Thank you mermaid.
Horo and mermaid010, thank you both. The Smoke and mirrors set is something I got with one of the Bryce implementations I own. Don't know with which one. The link to the DAZ store is here. It is now not free.
Great view of VAW city, Horo. Looks like a whole planet covered by one city.
I used a self made terrain, once stacked and four versions of the hot air balloon from the DAZ shop. In the first balloon two Genesis 2 people (partial, only visible parts). In the second balloon just a figure made of two spheres and the other balloons are so far away, that I left them empty. The sky is from the Fantastic skies.
Wonderful light play, Hansmar
Always enjoy your landscapes, Horo. You never cease to amaze with a new and different perspective.
Mary, I love shiny bubbles. I use them a lot. Very nice.
