Intrigued by Horo’s Funky Shape with the Geo_grid3a Hdri from Hdri for Fun (previous page), I tried to center the Hdri like he did. It was fidgety till I made the Yaw. Pitch and Roll –Zero, I had a Wings3D object in the initial setup but changed it for the smiley.laugh

The terrain was self made and given a somewhat modified material from Pro Materials Tau-davidbrinnen (3/10). The building is by and from David Brinnen. The Stars are from the Space Construction Kit. Sky and ambient light by the DS-Sky03 HDRI from Deep Space HDRI 2 and the key light by the sun. An outpost on a faraway world.

    Faraway Outpost

Two experiments: at left, the sun colour was changed by swapping the red and blue colors. At right as well, but also the haze and the sky colour.

The terrain (and both in the back) was self made and given material from High Resolution Terrains 2. The water is the ground plane with my material. The clouds are from the CloudSphere9 and the ambient light by the belonging SkySC9 HDRI from the Sky Toolbox and the key light by the sun.

Great pictures of everyone here. Lately I was quite busy with work. Finally I could render a new image. I was inspired by paintings of the Danish artist Vilhelm Hammerhoi.

Electro-Elvis - thank you. Beautifully done room with the lady looking out of the window.

The terrain is from Premium Rendering HDRI TA 2 Rockfall (sku 12763) with an adjusted Tau Variant material (Pro Materials Tau_davidbrinnen 3/10). Sky, colour and light by the Gasclouds_B03 HDRI from Landscapes under Fantastic Skies and additionally a bit of specular by the sun. The landscape of a dream.

A panoramic abstract, re-rendering an old abstract, I changed the torus for a sphere. After failing with specular and ambience, I did a bit of post work to enhance the colors.

mermaid - small changes sometimes give amazing different results. Your abstract looks really nice and interesting to look at.

Great landscapes and some crazy textures/colours, Horo.

Your smiley brought a smile to my face, mermaid010. And the abstract is amazing.

I've lately been returning to learning Vue. Results can be seen at Renderosity.

Hansmar - thank you. Yes, I have seen your works with Vue, but at Renderosity I only comment at the Bryce gallery but also do look at the others.

The terrain is from Premium Rendering HDRI TA 2 Rockfall (sku 12763) inverted, with an adjusted material from Vegetation, the ground plane as well. Around the terrain a Fading Mirrorbox. In front of the camera a warm-red filter from Lenses and Filters. Sky and ambient light by the ErmClouds04_SD HDRI from Sunless HDRI Skies and the key light by the sun. Long ago there was a huge settlement here.

i don't visit there unless someone puts a link, are there specific galleries for Bryce and other software?

mermaid - I am not sure the forum would accept it to put on the link here. But just type renderosity on your browser address list to open the site, then click on GALLERY (top row), then move mouse over Galleries and click on Bryce (or any other of the 35 galleries), they are sorted alphabetically. Contrary to Daz 3D, they have a working gallery.

Thanks Horo, I'll  try it. I always found that site to be user-unfriendly. I have not visited them for more than 2 or 3 years or so.

Four Bryce Object trees, each four times instanced; the grass are the foliage of a tree after Alexey and the stones in front another tree and an instance, only the wood, with my material. Everything with the camera within a Fading Mirrorbox. Sky and ambient light by the Golden_Enh HDRI from Golden Lighting and the key light by the sun. A small grove at the early evening.

I checked out this site, thanks for the help Horo. I saw some of your work in the Bryce Gallery and also Hansmar’s Vue renders. Nice work Hansmar

Absolutely beautiful render Horo, awesome lighting, the grass is amazing

Again a similar idea to yours, I tried a simple setup instancing a tree and using the faded mirror box, the rocks are tree rocks and rocks from the presets, lighting from Hdri Captured Volumetric Skies.

"the grass are the foliage of a tree after Alexey"

Do you have a pdf on this on your site.

Thank you mermaid. Well instanced trees in the faded mirror box. For the grass made from a tree (after an idea from Alexey) , see the PDF here: https://horo.ch/docs/mine/pdf/TreeGrass.pdf

Electro-Elvis, apologies for late reaction. Your indoor render is amazing.

Two very different landscapes, Horo. The first one shows a rather weird planet, I think and the one with the trees is very realistic and extremely well done.

Thank you, mermaid010. Your landscape looks like the ones we see more and more: very dry. Unfortunately rather realistic, like a wildfire has passed this area. Hope you can make some nice renders with the trees as grass trick.
