    I didn't clue into those being my DAZ+ choices. Uck. I just skimmed over them as crap I would never buy or get if free. I hate to say how many DAZ+ items I have left in the store during the past year because I have no use for or I hate the concept that demeans women or men. I am hesitant to add characters to my Runtime, I don't want another G8 issue again.

    I can use shaders, plants, food, rooms (even all but empty ones), real clothing for real people.

    I like the food idea, especially if groceries are included. There's a lot that's out there, but an annoying amount of it is vanity branded with the PA's name. And I still say it would be great to have more garden type plants, both herbs and vegetables. My hopes got up with the carrots a while back, but alas, it didn't become a trend. Decorative flowers are great and all, but diversity would be nice.

    ...as to clothing, indeed, "real clothing for real people". I don't think it is just me as recently it seems that the styles for female characters are becoming more and more "sexy" with lots of bare skin, deep cleavages, and even "liberal" showing of the breasts.  Makes me wonder sometimes if 'm on the other site that begins with "R" but ends with an "A" instead of "Y",

    Then there is ancient and medieval fantasy clothing that includes high (and even spike¹) heels which didn't exist until the mid18th century.

    ¹ Spike/stilletto heels first made their appearance in the 1940s/50s

    A little earlier than that, actually.  I've seen a number of different dates bandied around, but what is know for sure is that John Willie, the artist/creator of The Perils of Gwendolyne was also a noted fetish photogrpher and shoe designer, and began creating those iconic ultra-high heel designs in the mid-1930s after encountering several existing examples at an Autraliian shoe store called McNaughts in 1935.  However, the market at that point of time was quite limited and mostly custom order, with widespread introduction into fashion not occuring occur until much later, after WW2.

    The inventor of the stiletto heel was Salvatore Ferragamo. Actual date is not documented but is likely to be late 1920's after he returned to Italy from the US. It was brought about due to materials shortages at the time. A practical solution rather than a fashion item.

    For anyone who hasn't noticed, there's crazy low prices on MightyMite's kit bashing stuff right now. Not my usual sort of thing but I need a comedic mask for a scene and came across it all.

Of course nobody would have used shoes like that on the battlefield - so the usual fantasy style outfit habitat - or when not able to pay for them - so when not being a member of the "upper class" - with the japanese version of plateau shoes (the geta) maybe being an exception.

    So high shoes have been around for a very, very long time. Shoes with only high heels not so long. Maybe with the exception of footwear used when riding with stirrups.

    Except when I add something to cart, the price increases. That is mighty unacceptable as far as I'm concerned.

    Something has obviously broke in the last couple of hours, I was plotting things out and now the cart has quadrupled in price, and items are more expensive than they are on sale for.

    these items are all under $2 in the store, and earlier things were being calculated correctly.

    ..,truem there were high platform shoes as far back as ancient Greece which were worn during theatrical purposes and the chopines so upscale women could keep their feet out of the muck in the streets (medieval and even renaissance "plumbing" had a lot left to be desired). 

    For example here is a set of fantasy action clothing described as a "fantasy fairy ranger outfit" which has rather high (not quite spike) heels . Even the nimblest elf would have difficulty traipsing around in the woods wearing these,

    I have both of these s well as a few others.  True, using footwear from another similarly period/styled clothing set is an option but with high boots there is he issue of poke through from pants or leggings.

     ..I usually do not bother with most of these though I do did purchase a couple full suits, both that with just a little texture work are perfect for Space Ghost and Captain Canuck..

    Both the Ancient Egyptionas and Ancinent Greeks had high shoes for special purposes, so the basic idea is not new.  In fact, the Egyptian butchers wore the high shoes specifically top avoid standing in blood and offal while they worked... which is basically the reason that high heels first became popular in Europe, which was to keep one's feet and clothing from being soiled by the raw sewage that often ran in the streets.  None of that, of course, legitimizes the inaccurate and often ludicrous uses of ankle-breaking heels on things like suits of armor and such that are so common in DAZ outfits.

    ...on the other side of the coin I also fear for thise female spaceship crew members trying to outrun the big bad BEM and getting their heels caught in a floor seam or grating and breaking an ankle.. Not very practical in the future either,

    ...ah, so there is a Christmas in July sale.

    Hoping that prices have yet to settle down after the changeover as many "legacy" items are showing a 50% discount instead of 65%.(in past sales the "legay" category covered early G8 and older items - even G2 products show 50%).  Also, the first punch shows a checkmark which in the past meant it is active however the extra 15% doesn't seem to apply even in the cart  Will wait until I get up tomorrow.

    I'm seeing two green boxes and a '3' in a red circle on today's sale page under punches. Does that mean I have 3 punches? In the cart I'm not seeing anything, items are at the regular 30% off. I made purchases both weekend days, so there should be an extra 30% off as a premier member, assuming that we don't start on zero, but that the days before this sale started count for the first day.

    So, how can I see how many punches I have?

    Thanks, glad I was on the right track. However, in that case, they're not working, unless there are hidden exclusions or conditions. Screenshot of cart added.

    There are only 11 days left of July, which seems a bit short for a punch card type of sale. I wonder if Christmas in July will become Christmas in August?

    I'll be letting mine expire, if I can't even rely on the cart/store sales to work properly when I do fancy buying something there's no point having a membership

    My Premier runs until May next year. I'll likely not renew next time if I can find an alternative to the render queue, that's about all I'm keeping it for now.

    there are some nice outlet things I will grab Friday payday

    (not a member but I save enough not being one it makes up for the double price)

    otherwise the new offerings and deals pretty meh

    especially the useless "freebie" that doesn't incentivise me to buy the needed product at all
