Have to point out that "summer-fun" is not restricted to one use, and gives 50% on ten wishlist items.

Given that for each daily event a buyin of one new item puts a list of artists items around 70-80%, combined with this 50% and tokens you can get quite a decent discount (93% in most cases), if you have sufficient items there overlapping with your wishlist.

It's been a good couple days for knocking a fair number of items from my Rawart wishlist. Even if factoring the buy in item as something I may never use so splitting its cost between the 10 discounted items, that adjusted the discount from 95% off to 92% off.

...hmm,. The Summer Bombshell wishlist sale says extra 50% off with any New Release over $1 to get an extra 50% discount . . The Tuesday D+ New Releases were over 1 USD but sadly don't unlock the bonus discount,  It would be a nice little perk if they did as they only appear twice a week.

    Just saying,

The Daz+ item isn't supposed to be there; it somehow slipped into the category. The exceptions for Daz+ items are, as they always are, excluded unless stated otherwise.

The weekly and monthly freebies won't trigger the discount, but any Daz+ new items over $1 does trigger it (including the ones released yesterday, I tested both), as they always have.

The Daz+ freebies are the main and usually only reason for the the over $1 rule to exist in the first place.

If someone has a problem with the coupon, the problem is related to the wishlisted items:

Items must be in your Wishlist prior to July 13.
Discount excludes New Releases, Daz+ items, Memberships, Licenses, and Gift Cards.

Daz O's are always allowed, but Daz+ (PC+ items in the old days) are not included. It's a matter of misunderstanding what products are what. There are DO (Daz Original) freebies and Daz+ freebies and products for purchase. Anything that has the + on the tag does not qualify unless stated otherwise, which is rare.

To be clear, when I'm speaking about Daz+ new releases over $1, I mean these items:

Any of them is triggering the extra 50% discount on items from my wishlist who are respecting the requirements of being there before July 13, not being a new releases and not being Daz+ items.

As far as I can remember, Daz+ new releases, outside of the freebies, have always triggered extra discounts on other items when a sale required buying a new release over $1.

Edit: picture from the other discussion: Porto Bella is in my wishlist since its release, is not currently discounted by any other sale, is not a new release, nor a Daz+ item, and once SUMMER-FUN is typed where it should, a 50% discount was applied on Porto Bella.

The issue in my case was that I was using WL items that didn't qualify for the coupon- still new or added after the cut-off date for the coupon.

Porto Bella is a new release, it still has the "New" tag to indicate this. It has lost its 30% new discount (which runs for 2 weeks) but it is still in it new release period, which lasts for about 2 months. It was released at the start of May, so has been around for 2.5 months, so I am surprised though that it is still tagged as New.

I asked Utiltarian's filters to hide new items while browsing my wishlist before creating the test cart. I did look at my wishlist again and there is no New tag in my wishlist on Porto Bella.

It's likely a cache mistake like items that are keeping the oulets items for a while after being dropped out of the outlet selection.

So I guess I am the only one disgusted by horror scalps and eyes shown openly in the promos and main sales pages? why is this sick stuff so normalized? I don't want to see somone scalped on the main page. what is wrong with daz marketing dept? and to PAs that make this stuff I just won't buy from you ever. they go right on my blacklist.

The funds are a big issue. But it having them in the wishlist is a big sticking point as well. I try to wishlist indescriminantly. And I don't get a lot of hits. for the entire stack that you mentioned.

This topic has come up more than once, and several of us have put in tickets requesting a filter similar to the adult content filter. Best I could suggest is to submit one as well. Maybe there's some critical mass of requests that hasn't been hit yet.

...the times I've seen PC/D+ items unlock extra discounts was usually during the two PC/D+ sales, which apparently are no more.

It's pathetic Daz Store hides vendors who are no longer selling here from your Library search... For instance, Powerage and Rhiannon are no longer selling here, so when I type their names in the "Artists" box in my Product Library, nothing shows up... Where can I complain about that? Would a ticket call their attention to the problem?

  • frank0314frank0314 Posts: 15,038

    Yes, submit a ticket

I would think that, rather than anything being "hidden", it would require additional coding to add inactive vendors to the filter list. It's a legitimate feature request, but please make it politely rather than indignantly.

Why would it require additional coding? Just don't remove their tags in the first place. Remove the price tag from their page, that will show it's NLA.

Which would require completely rewriting how the stoe handles removed content, as there would remain things that are not meant to be public at all (e.g. anatomical elements, PA-only products) so they would need to be split into two; things to disable but leave visible vs things to be hidden. Assumign daz evena greed that leaving removed products semi-live was desirable.

Renderosity leaves removed items' pages extant with "unavailable" on the purchase button. The only way to reach them is by clicking on them in your product library or if you know the exact url (or have a link).

Daz has made a bunch of changes to the way product pages and product library work lately. Why not make this reasonable requested change? Making purchased content difficult to find in the product library is not a good design or implementation.

..."sigh" another skimpy G9 bodysuit and texture set as the new D+ selections for the day.  At least plants and shaders are useful.

At this point I'd even taker another bus stop or loo..

Oh, and we need the Categories selection included on sale pages  (like Featured Artists or other themed sales) as well

I absolutely agree with you. This has been bothering me for a long time, and I don't even look at certain sales. Yes, that is sick.

Speaking of sales: Daz' sales with buy-ins are becoming more and more uninteresting for me because the new releases are so boring. Always the same-looking young women, very young girls (resp. children who sometimes have an adult body), 'sexy' skimpwear - and the whole thing the next day again from the beginning.

Unfortunately, this trend is now also splashing into the Daz+/Premier area. There are fewer and fewer weekly Daz+ items that are worth a purchase for me. Today is another zero round.

I didn't clue into those being my DAZ+ choices. Uck. I just skimmed over them as crap I would never buy or get if free. I hate to say how many DAZ+ items I have left in the store during the past year because I have no use for or I hate the concept that demeans women or men. I am hesitant to add characters to my Runtime, I don't want another G8 issue again.

I can use shaders, plants, food, rooms (even all but empty ones), real clothing for real people.

...and with the Daz+ sales now things of the past about the only events ;left worth buying one month of D+ for are the PA sale, the Holiday sale, and MM (though that seems to be moving more to becoming just another typical Daz "New buy in" sale),

Want to chime in here with the others, no, you're absolutely not the only one. I've also put in tickets already for some particularly awful items. Please do that as well, maybe we can get something like a 'no gross' filter in addition to the 'no nudes' one. That would be something at least.

I used the wishlist discount twice and bought a lot of Lala Rabbit outfits and characters. The character quality was higher than I expected, and each one was unique and suited my taste. This almost made me decide to officially enter the G9 realm.

However, something is bothering me: recently purchased items don't show "Product Owned" on the website. It usually takes several days for them to appear normally. Occasionally, I accidentally add items I've already purchased back to my cart, but thankfully I've checked and ruled that out.

I usually enjoy the DAZ+ releases, and in fact I anticipate something cool and interesting. Have to say, over the last year or so, those releases have become rather, whatever, to me. I use them now for when we need something over a dollar to kick in sales. I do like Colm Jackson's characters, although they are getting too similar, The flowers are cool, Those geoshell eyeballs are nothing I would buy really. I don;t know if I will sign up again for anotehr membership. Overall I'm not seeing what I need here any longer.

And I know most of you are tired of seeing my posts about this, but its how I feel.  Sorry to bust your glory. There is just too much weird going on with this store too. Missing products in the library of items purchased, and so forth.Anyway, whatever, right.

I understand that feeling. The more you buy, the more discerning you become. Those discounted, special-edition items rarely offer anything truly amazing. Considering their positioning and price, I can understand this. However, sometimes talented artists are willing to participate and submit truly stunning works, for which I am very grateful.

Regularly sold new items also frequently contain very perfunctory products. This situation is becoming increasingly common. I'd rather have only one new item today than have something blatantly shoddy left on the shelf, especially now that I also have to consider hard drive capacity; I can't afford to cram unnecessary things into my computer.

I run into that sometimes as well, but if I F5 the product page a couple times after purchase and it goes to product owned. YMMV.
