The product library is limited to 40 only. It is chronologically arranged though from newest purchase; but there is no way to continue on the next set of 40 and up to the very first purchased item.

is a caching issue and changing to list and back can fix it

and deleting cookies if still a problem

    (I loathe doing that)

you then get page selection at the bottom

I tried clearing the cache and deleting cookies but it still didn't work.

Have you tried using a different browser?  Although I normally use Firefox, I'm finding that the Product Library loads faster and generally works better in MIcrosoft Edge.

Do you have "All" set for "Items per page" set on the main website? Change it to 120 or 60, and the page navigation will show up at the bottom of your product library. (But if you change to "all" on the main page again, they'll disappear again.)

The only option I have for the "items per page" is 20 and 40. I also cleared the cache and it didn't work at all.

That's in your product library. You have to change Items per page setting on the main store page. On your main store page you have options 60, 120, and All, and it's "All" that's causing problems that spill into the product library page when I tested it several times.

I did what you said and got a button for next page. It also showed options for sorting and order. Thanks a bunch :)

    You're welcome! :)

Daz needs to fix it, but since I suspect they're slammed with bugs and issues, for now it's a solution that seems to work.

In my experience, problems such as the "only 40" listing are caused on the "site side."

They are not caused or fixed on our end.

I've totally avoided clearing cache for decades.

Some of my wishes for the product library have been granted, but not all. Thank you Daz Devs!

Thank you also to @leana and @Frank0314 I can tell something changed. I'd still like to see a selector for items per page: All.

I must respectfully disagree. Cookie format may have changed, files may be corrupted over time, efficiency is lost. Also digital hygiene. You should regularly clear your caches and periodically purge your cookies

I must not have cleared cookies in my main browser for the last 10 years... I like my websites logged in laugh. I will sometimes surgically delete some websites' local data, but that's about it. Nowadays there's basically not that much info in the actual cookies other than session data anyway.

Most problems that cookies/cache clearing solves will be solved by a good hard refresh (Ctrl/Cmd + F5) and a logout/login of the website, without the annoyance associated with deleting a bunch of sessions.

In this case it appears a mistake in coding caused the "only 40" problem.

The solution was to choose "40" instead of all.

Clearly this was not a "cache problem."

It was one way to get them off the phone. All too often cleaning cookies didn't help anything.

I'd really appreciate it if DAZ could list all the PA's names alphabetically. Also consistency would be nice. In some cases a PA's name is listed in more than one format or listing.

I'd like the ability to block out PA's that I don't want to see. That would be PA's who tend to dominate an entire page with their products. Also those whose names take up most of the product listing. I just want to know about the product.

The pagination feature seems to be working properly. The "Go to" is going to the appropiate page.

OH! I just remembered my all-time #1 most wanted feature DRAG & DROP CART REORDERING or a cart edit mechnism that lets user move items UP/DOWN in cart. So necessary because of the excessively convoluted and sometimes competing promos/deals that work or fail due to item order, or at least make it difficult for us to get the right product (out of a large cartload of products) into the correct place (often - first item in cart, but sometimes I want a product slotted in somewhere else to make my cart flow deal-wise to suit me). Example: today ATM I have only 14 items in the cart I'm working on, but found an item that I want to use the daily WISH on but it is waay down in the cart at spot 10 and many of the items 1-9 in cart are ALSO ELIGIBLE to get the WISH discount- which is good only for 1 item; so I have to take out all the items before today's lucky contestant so that it will get the discount, and then put the others back into the cart again. Ugh, not the end of the world -today- since atm only 14 items in cart, but some days... I'll have large numbers of items in the cart while I sift through the contestants and it's really tiresome those days.
Daily or near-daily cart jenga adds so much frustration and time-suck to the Daz shopping experience (and there's enough already beyond the cart!).    At minimum, even a button or mechanism to select any 1 item and send it to the TOP of CART would be helpful on a near-daily basis for me. I've read things in the forums over the years that strongly suggest I'm not the only person that wishes for a more user-friendly cart.   Normal stores typically don't have much by way of extended features in their carts because they don't really need them, but the overly complex promos/deal at Daz really do make for a tiresome shopping experience unlike any other webstore I shop at and could really be more convenient with some useful tweaks to cart.

    ...agreed.

There have been times that I ended up wading through page after page from the same vendor who's products or genre I have little to no interest in as I frequently sort by Price rather than New Arrivals or Most Popular.

  • 1. I do like having a price range option. It's useful when working with convoluted deal requirements, especially coupons.

    2. I shouldn't have to use specific browsers to have full functionality. We're not talking about issues with a vintage one like Netscape or a niche one like Silk on Fire tablets. The problem are with commonly used modern browsers like Chrome and Firefox.

The new filters are strange. For example, if I want to search for PSOE tools, the "Tools" category disappears after I type "PSOE", so I have to search through hundreds of search results.

    Some assorted comments:

I do not like that I have to stare at the "game ready 3d" image in the filter list.  For one thing, I am never going to care about that; more importantly for people other than me... guys, it looks like some sort of third party ad or something, not part of the site.

Delighted to see that ther is a "only show +" option today.  Also like the yellow "on wishlist" banner.

Site is still - and this has been a problem for actual years at this point - badly, badly in need of a "show products not associated with a figure" filter and a filter that lets you see only products that are or contain scenery/props/animals/etc.

As a manual download person... y'all, the Product List experience is significantly worse.  The only positive things I can really say is "I guess it looks pretty" and I appreciate that the "omg did you know you can download this using Install Manager?" banner is now below the manual download buttons instead of above.  Oh, and as someone with an unreasonably massive library, it is marginally faster to open when I first go to the page.  But I went from "click on product on left, click download, click on product on left, click download, rinse repeat x number of times" process that was only limited by my download speed to "click on product on right, click on download, click back, click on next product, click download, click back, rinse repeat x number of times", and it's so much slower as a workflow.  (No, I'm not going to switch to DIM or to letting DS download things for me; I have a massive product library and I manually manage it to be the way I want it to be.)  Also, if I have a product open and search for something... there's no sign anything is happening.  Before, I would see the search results on the left and could then click on a different product; now, if I have a product open and I search, it looks like nothing happened and I have to click back to my library again to see the search results.

"Only Show Owned" option is missing from the previous shop!  If I buy something, I want to compare it to those items I already have.

"Hide Daz+"  we would need it for the coupons

In Product Library, "Search Your Library" accepts strings and then filters immediately, but you cannot clear the field, like before, with the filters' "Clear All" button. You have to select all the text to clear it or replace it.

Artist list is WAY too long when you "Show More". Needs a scrollbar. Would be nice to sort alphabetically, too.

There is no way to filter products from defunct artists, or discontinued products from current artists. The list is user-dependent, so why not? The products are there, but if you do not recall the name, good luck finding them.

is it me or is this site a lot slower than before the changes. I have 600meg dl speed, so probably not that. there seems to be some problems with the site toaday as well. The cart would not load.

It is a lot slower for me. I've had the browser showing the "This page is not responding" message a few times.* It's been like this all the time since the changes.

I've had many issues with the store site not responding, mainly at checkout - "server not responding".

Plus the usual forum issues as normal.

For the record, it wasn’t an option of the previous shop, it was added by Daz Deals extension.

To the surprise of no one anywhere, apparently, the Daz Deals folks were not warned in advance and must now play catch-up.

On the slowness issue.  I don't experience that once the site is fully loaded but it takes longer to load.  They load, what I think, are the user's prefs and then they load up the Vickie AI which is another spinning wheel moment, I get two spinning wheels.  If I try to start scrolling before the second one is done doing it's thing then it will JUMP down a page suddenly so I'm learning to just give it all a minute.  Not caring for all that extra.  They may think this is an improvement but for right now, as it stands, me no likey!  no

Slower on FIrefox, not quite as bad on Microsoft edge.  Haven't bothered checking either CHrome or Safari yet.  That said, my experience si that just about anytime any site has an "upgrade," everything slows down a bit more as not only do all all the new whistles and bells add up, but quite often the new version starts running afoul of various idiosyncacies of each browser that weren't previously an issue.  I mean, can anyone think of a case where a new website was actually a significant improvement over it's predecessor AND didn't end up going through a debugging afterwards?.

  • FrankTheTankFrankTheTank Posts: 1,607

i will just repeat what said in the other thread, the site is much, much slower for me. The main store page is especially slow, taking about 10 seconds before any buttons are active after the page is initially loaded. The whole page is just frozen for me anytime I go to the site, and I do clear alll cookies everytime I restart my browser. Even if I just try to scroll down the page it will result in the website freezing randomly. So I pretty much have given up trying to browse or buy anything until those things are fixed. FYI: My typical download/upload speed is 56Mbps down/11Mbps upload, while this is not fast by todays standards, I've never had issues like this in the past with the Daz website, and its been slow like this everyday since the site update. Hopefull the speed issue gets fixed or it will make the site unuseable for many people with slower internet connections.

Slow on every browser I use - Chrome & Duck Duck Go on tablet, Firefox on my Win11 Victus laptop.

Is it to much to ask that when an update is launched it is tested first so we don't have days and weeks of fixes and/or threads with suggestions that should have been considered before just tossing it out there? The fact that you can't select a file preference without it breaking the wishlist is something that should have gone through testing and QA check before going live. Maybe consider a test group of users to test things out and report back before dropping it on everyone else? Deviant Art has a lart group of testers for this very reason. It wouldn't cost anything and would solve a lot of this before surprising everyone with a broken mess.

I agree, slow. And I'm not in love with that loading graphic.
