A Query:  Are you a tea drinker?  Favorite(s)?  Bags or by the pot?  If bags, do you reuse the teabag?  Lifelong habit or adopted when older?

Tea:  Me, coffee since high school(60 years ago).  Tea drinking started after age 50.  Black coffee in the morning with breakfast.  Tea choice in order of preference and daily use:  EarlGrey, Oolong, herbal varieties or decaf black.  Time of day, mid-morning(10:00AM), mid-afternoon(3:00PM), mid-evening(8:00PM no caffeine), I never reuse the teabag.  I dip a couple of times while brewing for 2.5 minutes, in microwaved water, nearly boiling, and squeeze the bag with the tag before discarding.  I do have a tea ball but don't use it anymore, don't make it by the pot.  Single cups only.yes

I like tea. We use teabags. I just leave the bag in the hot water until I remember it's there. I don't reuse the bags. And I have used Keurig tea pods. Tea is something I started experimenting with as an adult, after I decided I should do something about the coffee addiction.

I use a tea infuser. Many modern teabags made with synthetic polymers release large numbers of micro‑ and nanoplastic particles during brewing; studies report billions of particles per cup and show these particles can interact with human intestinal cells.

...I have taken to drinking tea on some mornings and purchase a brand from the UK.  Brews a nice strong cup.

I can only choke down coffee if it's half cocoa. Otherwise, it's a hard pass. I don't do bitter. I drink tea occasionally. Usually flavored teas, like Chai or almond, and I add French vanilla creamer. Unless I happen to get a mint or citrus tea (uncommon). Those don't get creamer. And I use tea bags, used once, not squeezed.

My parents weaned their children from the bottle and sippy cups by giving them 'coffee milk with sugar' in a real glass or mug. So my addiction started early. I cut out the sugar when I almost 30, and stopped drinking all sodas then. Tea, well it depends. Chamomile for migraines, Irish or English Breakfast with milk and a small spoon of sugar. My son and I loved stopping for British Tea when we would shop in London or Ipswich on the weekends. I also keep Green Tea for special occassions. And my flatmate has his own favorites we stock. Bag is fine for a quick cup, but when we both feel the need, the fancy tea pots comes out.

The Commissary is able to get some tea brands from England that I like, along with biscuits.

Tea, by the mug full. A dozen or more per day. PG Tips black tea. Stew the tea in a teapot, 3 bags per 2 pints or one bag per half pint mug, stew for 10-30 minutes, or until a lead spoon floats. Then add milk and sugar. Proper job. NEVER, EVER reuse tea (leaves or bags) because all the real punch goes into the first brew, and what's left is dishwater. Regards, Richard.

Yorkshire Decaff tea, made in a pot to do several mugs (probably just under ten most days). I do have instant coffee too, and ground coffee after lunch at the weekend and on holidays, but mainly tea.

...Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire is the brand I get..

However, I still am an avid coffee drinker, though not to the extreme as I was years ago (like when i would fill a 48 oz Stanly thermos to get through my morning radio show and then go down to the cafe in the college union building when that ran dry).

These days I tend to prefer the espresso process over drip or percolated coffee as it is lower in acid.  I also only purchase whole bean coffee from small batch roasters instead of the mainstream supermarket brands.
