Maybe it was related to the page issue Daz was experiencing that morning; although I can see it in this screenshot (not a good example because it is purchased and free) of Flowering Hebe Bushes:
When the 'recent best' is '$undefined' the iFrame document body is empty, that is fine for the chart; however, had the item been of interest but too costly I should have liked to set up a price notification.
That is the issue, the field and button for the 'set notification' is in chart's iFrame document body.
My guess is that happens when the discount is not shown by Daz and there is no previous sale history or the "recent best" is calculation is '$undefined', so in instances where the Current Price is not stated or is not a valid currency amount (like the literal "Free") the iframe document body is empty.
[EDIT]
I think that the presence of the chart should not depend on the price history ("recent best") nor the discount or its calculation.
For a new release product its price history should start at the MSRP, the next datum for the chart should be its discounted price if available or 0 (zero)if the current price is Free.
[/EDIT]
That's an odd product. Doesn't even have a readme, for some reason. I assume the issue is with the product itself (ie: we don't have data about it for some reason, most likely related to it being strangely set up). I'll take a look at that if I don't forget.
Daz's metadata is not always comprehensive; there are quite a few products without a ReadMe, particularly the bundles (some even had their ReadMe deleted when Daz rejigged their composition), some very old ones and also newer products such as SYA Mariko and Malice for Genesis 9. [EDIT] Now Fixed [/EDIT]
As I mentioned, that particular product was not the best example as it is a Daz+ Freebie, so it is unlikely that anyone would have set up a notification for it; which I guess is how products are added to your database; although as far as I can tell it is a standard product set up, it appears the same as other products in the Free 3D Models listing of older products.
I'll keep an eye out and if I come across others I will update you.
Thinking about it ... the products in the Free 3D Models list will have had a price and discount when first published, they most likely gathered notifications.
So, problem will only manifest itself when the product's first appearance is as a freebie (as it does once a week for Daz+ Members) or there is an issue with showing applicable discounts on the page like what happened on the 10th of February
Daz deals has a problem with the "product library".
When you go to visit a specific asset in the product library (for instance https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_87472 which is Victoria 9), generally, the product page is not displayed. Instead, you have the home page of the product library with the array of thumbnail of all you products.
This daz-deals behavior lasts for years. It was annoyingn but somehow manageable. Indeed, there was a simple workaround: If you refreshed the page, then the proper page appeared and could be used.
But now, it has become totally unmanageable. If you refresh the page, you do have the proper product page (sometimes), but after a few second (I measured 3-10s), the page returns to the thumbnail page.
I find this **EXTREMELY** annoying. After any purchase I browse my orders to enter the purchased items in a file with a description of the asset. And the orders only give a link to the product in the product library.
Presently, the only workaround that I found is to disable daz deals....
What heppens if you wait about a second when the thumbnails load? For me, the thumbnails appear briefly, and then the actual product page is shown. This is in Chrome.
The product page some times is never displayed, sometimes appears but always disappears after some seconds and is replaced by the thumbnails. It can be more or less long, but it always happens.
Using firefox 148.0 on linux.
@Ati, I just got 2 emails from the ATI address, one for a price notification I set, the other for 'wishlist items on sale'
Both emails show prices at a fragment of the actual prices (I *am* logged in and have Daz+)
It looks like the discount is applied twice... Is that an error at Daz3D they fixed before I could check them out, or your system?
If you give me the item skus (or names), I can check exactly for you, but we only see the actual, already discounted price, so unless they were older emails, those items were most likely discounted to those prices even if just temporarily.
Thanks for the clarification. I will ping @Overdrawn on this one.
Feature Request: Is there any way you could add a button to the item product pages that allows you to repurchase an item that is aleady 'Product Owned' /
I generally use daz deals, but without it, I noticed that for the products that are owned, there are buttons with thumbs up ou down that you can click.
It is probably related to the "User Rating" entry in the product page that does not seem to appear whan daz deals is active. And the only information that I saw in this section is 'Not enough ratings yet. Be the first to rate this product'.
Not a bad idea to have some kind of product rating, but I think many people use daz deals and the rating is hidden...
So could we have a way to add a rating when daz deal is active?
I have DAZ Dealls Pro and I am still seeing ratings buttons.
Same
Maybe try a hard refresh (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+R should do the trick), you're probably loading an older version of the Daz website
Do we know why this was removed? This used to be avaibable. Has there been a change in Daz's policy about this?
I'm not sure why it was removed. I have not seen any definitive posts from DAZ but there have been some guesses in other threads that it was deliberately removed.
Actually, you can repurchase an item without needing a plugin to force the button. Simply refresh the page and quickly click the green "Add to Cart" button before the page scripts finish loading — it appears briefly before being hidden.
The buttons (Add to Cart, In Cart, Add to Wishlist, etc.) are all present in the page's HTML source, but after the page scripts run, they get overwritten with
style="display: none;", which hides them.If you want the button to always be visible without having to race the page load, you can install Tampermonkey and add a custom userscript using the ready-made code from this page:
https://justpaste.it/daz-restore-add-to-cart
Note: By default, browsers don’t trust user scripts, so you’ll need to enable “Allow user scripts” in Tampermonkey via your browser’s extension management settings (at least that’s how it appears in Chrome).
Thanks. It works like a charm. Using Tampermokey with scripts enabled is slightly scary; but I leave TamperMonkey turned off and will only turn it on if I want to repurchase something Before installing TamperMonkey I had tried clicking the "Add item" purchase button before it disappeared; but my computer is a lot faster than I am and never could get to it in time for it to work.
Hi,
Do the pro features of this add on require monthly subscription or just 1 time to unlock?
Thank you.
They require the monthly subscription
There is also a yearly subscription.
Hi,
The price history graph is was now showing two tracks, a red one and a blue one. What are were they?
Blue is non-PC+ price; red is PC+ price
As Charlie said.
If you hover over the lines, it will tell you which is which.
Because of the impossibility to access the product library with the current version of daz-deals, I frequently switch the add-on on and off. And I noticed that, when the number of daz pages opened in tabs is high (say, above 30), switching daz-deals on almost always crashes the browser with a message like 'an application requires an unusually high amount of memory and had to to be stopped".
I do not know if the problem comes from my browser (firefox 149.0), my hardware with a 16GB memory, my OS ubuntu 25.04 or daz deals. The browser can be restarted from its pre-crash state, so it's not a big deal, but obviously I would prefer not to.
I also noticed that the time to get the daz deals features on a page (price graph, etc), is much higher than it used to be some months ago. It can frequently require 30s or even a full minute.
Yeh, I have a very large library (922 pages) and I have to turn DAZ Deals off to get it to loadwithin any sort of reasonable time.. I wish this could be fixed but I loading all those thumbnail might be the reason.
