280MB in DIM, not yet downloadwd to test

Thanks Richard! I think it's a lovely set, but not one I'd ever use. So, I went another direction.

I had DIM opened so I checked the size of the installed package and it was 665.6MB. I have made a screenshot of the available sets in Environments so you don't have to load the whole set at once. PW is great for this and I really appreciate it, even when I am not worried about a new machine not handling the load.

Does the helmet actually go over the characters head or just sit on top like a hat?

    https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-strand-based-fe-long-wave-hair-for-genesis-9-8-and-81

It has a beautiful anime-style hairstyle and supports G8. I don't usually buy new products, but I might buy it during today's sale.

https://www.daz3d.com/winter-in-the-forest looks very impressive. With https://www.daz3d.com/camera-view-optimizer it should be a very versatile product for rendering backgrounds and as holydazdeal also at a tempting price.

I thought https://www.daz3d.com/x-fashion-christmas-socks-edition-for-genesis-9-and-8-female was fun and useful as so many people enjoy wearing crazy socks at Christmas. And these just tickled my funny-bone.

It looks good, preeeety good heart. The only question is how heavy it is on the hardware? I always fear long hair. (I still remember my old 1050TI's vs Linday's Long Curly Hair fight)

  • Can we appreciate the irony of putting "UNZIP" in the name of a product that doesn't have a functional zipper in this appreciation thread? I thought it was amusing.

I had to look for it and had a snigger. Also, just the thought of a zipper crossing over a nipple made me me go "eep, ow!"

Why would you go "ow"?  Unlike a real garment, this zipper doesn't move. That's part of the humor, isn't it? (And I think the third zipper would cause more pain unless the wearer shaves daily.)

I just noticed, the other release by the same PA today has a working zipper. https://www.daz3d.com/x-fashion-silent-power-jacket-outfit-for-genesis-9-and-8-female

True, although if nothing's worn underneath, a zipper is kind of rough/sharp even when closed, and movement would cause it to... well, "chafe" to put it delicately.

Though hey I suppose some people are into that, so cheers to them.

  • considering the fetish aspect, I fail to see who that unzip lingerie is actually marketed to since it doesn't have opened options

(not necessarily morphs but separate garments with open zippers and exposure)

as that presumably is the entire purpose of the outfit

    titillation and crotch reveal

not my thing but each to their own

If you want to get deep into the weeds of the outfit, try to figure out how the neck strap is put over the model's head. Because there are stitches across the top of the zippers before they reach the ring around her neck and the back view shows it doesn't tie or adjust in the back. This is a similar issue (clothing that can't actually be put on) to the rooms that have no doors/doorways that one finds in some 3D assets.

Edit to add: I missed https://www.daz3d.com/ly-evangeline-hd-for-genesis-9-feminine. Sorry Lyoness. She is lovely and what really had me sold was the L.I.E. eyeshadow three tier system of regular looking eyeshadow. I can use that on other characters and if I still was able to wear makeup, it would be how my eye makeup would look. Loved your whole package.

I just wanted to say... Thank you for noticing.
I've been developing that eyeshadow for a bit, and it's so much more fun to play with. I HIGHLY recommend LIE Makeup Manager for the ability to edit each layer to your own needs. You keep my masks and change the colors, now the makeups are infinite!!
You will be seeing more of my characters with this style of enhanced makeup options.

I think this character has some great skin textures, Ramalus HD for Genesis 9 | Daz 3D  The only thing it appears as if there is no morph for normal ears, only elf style. Its too bad if that's the case.

I am not buying it for the same reason. It's rather odd since elves, as popular as they may seem, are a niche.

Quickly search web for "Sahara Desert Glamping".

Glamping, a blend of "glamorous" and "camping," is an elevated outdoor lodging experience that provides natural immersion with resort-style comforts, offering amenities like real beds, private bathrooms with hot showers, electricity, and Wi-Fi, in unique structures like yurts, treehouses, safari tents, or cabins, letting you enjoy nature without sacrificing modern luxuries. It's ideal for those who love the outdoors but prefer comfortable, curated stays over traditional roughing-it camping.

uh, for those with the cash outlay to live it up and tell all their friends they went camping in the Sahara. Being of the type that goes camping in a tent with no running water, electricity, or any ammenties, I'll pass on this one then. I can't even dream of such a thing laugh

I am afraid I am the sort of person who would prefer being comfortable in a nice confortable hotel over being in a tent with no running water, electricity, or any ammenties; that sounds too close to poverty for me. However, there are different strokes for different folks!

laughI grew up in the north woods so we always went fishing, etc. Was in boy scouts and even went tenting in the winter, in fairly deep snow. I;ve camped in the Rockies, White Mountains in New Hampshire, UP of Michigan along Lake Superior, and much in between. Its nice to get away from "civilization" once in awhile. One thing that this does it to allow much more appreciation of a bed and shower. yes  soap. warmth, or AC. We do stay at hotels though when traveling.

I picked up Fugazi camping set in the sale today though :)

Totally fine to prefer some comfort (i do too for the most part),  But I would call places like that set as "Themed" Hotel at best. Calling things like that camping (or glamping) is too much of a stretch (imo).

I'm just in it for the props I can use in other stuff, LOL

Meanwhile... https://www.daz3d.com/cozy-pool-interior -- apparently I have a very different idea of "cozy"?

ETA: yeah, it's the freebie, but still?

Well, it is cozy in the sense that it would be really useful for only one or two people to swim in an aerobic fashion without colliding every two strokes. It is way too small to be a public pool; more of a pool that you might book to swim in solitude.

This might be the most exquisite mask I've ever seen; although there have been similar ones before, none have had this level of extravagance, I especially like that mask that looks like a fox.

While Polish created fantastic scene models, their props were equally stunning, I also hope they release some of these fantasy props. The previous Fantasy Spear Collection was also exquisite, and it's one of the few melee weapon models I like on daz.

Yes! I'm gradually assembling stuff for a faerie masquerade scene, and the typical mardi gras stuff just doesn't quite cut it for that. I'm hoping for many more volumes of these!

It's all my mummies friends are speaking about but they are all Old Kingdom born, so maybe it's not up to modern taste.

With no straps, how does the wearer stop these from falling off?
