It's fantasy~
Double sided tape? Glue? The force of the observer's gaze?
ETA: I originally thought I was responding to a post on the Rule 34 Mummy outfit, but apparently it has been a long day and my brain is fried. For the masks, for my purpose, I'mma say faery magic. :D
I would go for the tape having been grown into the skin over the centuries and become one with the mummy.
I want to thank SickleYield for her product https://www.daz3d.com/sy-underclothes-layers-genesis-9. Too many times I have wanted to have a layered look but shirts, blouses, or dress tops are just too tight and unforgiving. And don't bring up overly sexy jackets that would get you fired if you wore them to job at a conservative normal business. I have pretty much every Sexy Skins product, but the guys have been left out of that, and there are also few rougher, non-fancy options offered in that line. These are perfect.
a few dabs of Spirit Gum applied wherever it touches the skin.
Really like - https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-bs-long-dress-for-genesis-9 - It looks soft and comfortable, and it can be buttoned all the way up!
Unfortunately for those who want it unbuttoned, the buttons are attached to the top part, where the button holes should be. Not an issue for me, but...
It was already like that in previous products who could be opened made by that sema PA. If buttons are on Rigid Follow Nodes, it should be possible to attach them to new nodes parented to correct side of the dress.
One element I don't understand: why tell people to hide buttons from simulation instead of simply setting the dress with the buttons hidden from simulation in the first place?
Who knew, buttons could be so challenging. Guess they're not used to using them.
Aaaah, thanks, you just explained to me why I like that dress just as much as you do, but kept having a nagging feeling that something was off about it ... Well, that's a bummer really! I wanted to have it open a little at the top because things always look more life-like this way I feel, but that's not going to work now without doing some texturing work myself. Why didn't they just texture the button holes onto the non-button side?
You know what, we should have a 'button-hole decal' thingie, really, to put on all clothes that are missing them! That would be so useful!
Agree, very useful, especially on the clothes like on the render below.
Even if this fails sometimes, it will be a godsend: https://www.daz3d.com/clothing-hangers-for-genesis-9-and-genesis-8-dforce-clothing
Putting clothes on hangers is a pain if it works at all. I might render some stuff once I download it.
Good choice. Please post some renders, if you find a time.
Well I tried my best at making the clothes hangers logical to use - there are 3 versions: regular props and then two versions with g8 rigging and g9 rigging, Then you get options on which way to load things (becasue pants needs a pose to hang over the thing).
Any rate for most regular clothing like dresses and shirts it is click, load, simulate, then figure out what the original maker did that isn't making them drape nicely. You might need to adjust teh dforce settings, or adjust the dforce weightmap. It may take some fiddling with. That's not a part I can really control.
The two props for pants hangers with clips dont have a figure rigged option - becasue the pants need to be flat to go into the clips and I cant make that happen on load. But the clips do open so you can get flat pants in there, once you get them flat. So you have the hangers anyhow for static use, and the people who really want to do the work can get there :)
I do suggest if you are draping several items you convert the simulation to a morph and then hang the next thing.

Thanks for coming up with this idea! I didn't understand at first from the product name alone, but now that I get the point, it seems like a genuinely useful thing to have.
Asteroid Command Hub: I don't understand why you would want to put your satellite dishes "deep in an asteroid bunker" instead of on the surface where they might actually stand a chance of recieving a signal. Transmitting would be like living inside a microwave oven. At least they could keep their lunch warm...
I think this is a case of the warehouse staff being very lazy and just leaving the spare parts lying around. After all, it's blocking the screen. Seriously, it looks like a freebie. You could put it anywhere, especially since its material looks so cheap compared to the surroundings. It really feels like a freebie. Oh, and it even comes with an unpainted R2D2.
Well, looking a little closer, it does look more like a storeroom than a command center. Where do you sit? Where are the consoles? Okay, touchscreen, but still. Stretch or squat?
+1 -- I've dodged getting my folks' closets set up because, by-and-large, what's available as clothing props on hangers aren't things they'd be wearing. This solves the problem! Thank you for filling in one of those odd, obscure gaps!

I absolutely love this; it's an extremely rare and exquisitely crafted modern Chinese-style scene. While some of the text is a bit odd, most of it is accurate.
Based on previous experience, it might put a significant strain on a computer, and I hope there will be more similar products in the future; I already have far too many ancient, modern, and futuristic Japanese city street scenes.
What's a Zel Prop? https://www.daz3d.com/zel-poses
This set of primitives: https://www.daz3d.com/zel-props
$22 dollars for some cylinder primitives with a few shaders applied.
I typed "zel" and "zel props" into the store search bar and nothing named "zel" came up. And they do look unnecessary.
"Use these props to pose the beautiful Zel, a fantastic character for Genesis 9." Additionally, no character named Zel came up.
Google "zel site:daz3d.com" gets "Zelara 8". Is that Zel?
Searching these forums finds this thread and the recent lorez gazelle among other hazels and zelaras.
Zel is here and was released today, like the other Zel related products: https://www.daz3d.com/zel-for-genesis-9
I wish there was a competition that emphasized quality over quantity, where the focus is on creating unique characters rather than one about releasing a large number of similar ones daily.
KYD Amara looks like a really promising African skin texture...until you see that the palms are the same color as the rest of the body.
That's actually a thing that happens in real life with dark skin. It's not 100% folks have lighter palms/soles. It depends on their ancestry.
I would say sort of; I knew a population biologist and I have had this discussion. I'm about the limit of where the palm is close to the rest of the skin color at a toasty caramel color because palms can tan a very tiny bit. For me in my experience, someone with skin that dark should probably have more color separation for their palms. I include a photo of my hand as a visual aid.
