barbult Lovely render! Very chic dress - I went to wishlist it, and noticed your link needs to be updated. It's not pointing right.
Did you do this render a long time ago? Cause Richard looks a decade or more younger in this one... Lol.
Thanks for pointing out the link error. I think I fixed it now.
Richard must have gone back to his favorite salon and had his hair dyed back to his youthful orange shade. Yes, I think he is looking like his normal self again. Phew! He had a rough few days there, but better days have come again.
Here's the sitting pose with one of the patterned dress materials.
I had the same reaction to the dress, but my copy is still in its tissue paper.
Not surprising. I don't know how you have time to render anything. I don't think I've ever seen you post a render in the forum.
Getting around to actually using Lyoness's Cadmium Outfit in a render, as well as also using a large number of cyberpunk environment and props I've had sitting around (full list at the Gallery Link)

I'm also going to drop these two here, as while many of the things in them have previously been used I think it's the first time I've used the Along the Prom and Mega Terrain: Highlands environments.
This one came about because we had a couple of mentions of "humantaurs" on the Slackers Discord, and I was intrigued to see if I could use my shape clones to turn the centaur back into human shapes. (Because, yes, this was not done the sensible way of posing two Genesis figures, this is a morphed centaur base).

The real version of this shirt got posted on Slackers a bit back and I've wanted to do something with it since, and as today (31st March) is Transgender Day of Visibility, it was as good an excuse as any to dress Kristin in a subtle outfit.
I managed to trace a decent copy of the design, but alas couldn't conclusively work out who actually owns it; the sites I found all seemed to be that kind of site that functions by using crawler bots to hoover up artworks across the internet and then resell shirts with them on.

EDIT: Fixing broken gallery image links
Here's the new Beverly for Genesis 9, sitting in her Manhattan apartment, amused by the strange food choice in front of her. She's also using the Neon Hot Tub as a vase because when you can, you definitely should!
Thanks! I enjoy Beverly-she has an interesting look and I love the glasses that came with her, too. The Neon Hot Tub shall return again tomorrow-hopefully if we get a character bundle that intrigues me.
I see what you did there, that's quite inventive and funny.
Crossposting from Daz+ forum.
Aren't You Too Small to Wander the Woods?
Funny enough, this wasn't inspired but the news of genetically engineered dire wolf.
I was still testing my new PC and thinking of the "Scale" theme when I thought I wanted a big wolf. A really big wolf. And it went from there, the white fur for more contrast with the girl's dark outfit and testing the light and the PC. Only when I rendered, I remembered of the news.
No AI. The only postwork are some color adjustments and signature. Gallery image here.
I have used Dire Wolf before, but with the new PC, it was another test of how his fur would render and it feels stunning.
HS Playful Bob Hair for G 8, G 8.1, and 9 was also a firs try. I love but rarely use Hair Studios hair, because they are not dForce and don't have morphs which limits them to rather static scenes.
And Grassy Grove with which I played with a little bit before, but the old PC was choking on it, so I never tested it properly until now. What can I say? I love it. I did have to hide one layer of tall grass, though. It was nice and wild but too tall and the girl got lost in it. It's there, though, and great too.
SU Japan School Uniform for G8, G8.1, and G9 look stunning (and all those materials included), but loading it as an outfit on ES3D Masina (not not a curvy or big character) resulted in quite a few poke throughs, and the morphs aren't ideal. It also had a triangular artifact issue on the crotch area, and I'm sad to report that either I don't know how to use it properly, or Sickleyield's Detriangulator did nothing with it. Definitely not the results like in the promo pictures, and the attached document suggests it's a tool for when you autofit other generation clothes to G9 which is not what I got from its description. I'll test both the uniform and detriangulator more, bo so far, I'm not impressed.
They are dForce clothes, so did you try to set a simulation timeline to avoid the triangle problem ?
Afaik, during a simultion, the body morph will not have an impact on dforce clothes, at least not on the part that is simulated: if the clothes have static parts (either through surface settings or using a dForce weight node), these parts will be subject to the morph.
I don't have Masina, so I'm using MW Flora who is also smaller than Genesis 9 Base (scaled at 90.5%).
I'm usually doing it with a 45 frames simulation using Best in collision mode.
The last 15 frames are here to let the simulation stabilize.
One thing to keep in mind, after posing the character at frame 30, you'll likely have to go back at frame 15 to reset it's character position. I don't know if there is a way to pre-emptively set the base pose at frame 15.
Here's the result on the skirt (sorry, the screenshots are a bit small but they were taken from the viewport):
1. No timeline used:
2. Timeline set up as explained and used:
As you can see, the skirt is a bit longer (I only saw it after looking at both screenshots back and forth) but there is no strange deformation due to the triangle area.
It's also possible to use the same technic with dForce clothes from other generation, but it require additionnal steps like creating a clone of the character you're using for the generation of the clothes you're using (so a Genesis 8 clone of a G9 character if you want to use Genesis 8 clothes) and other I can details if you wish.
The biggest downside of this technic: you're now working with a timelined scene.
Regarding the chest, I didn't see any glaring problem with Flora (her chest is close in size to Genesis 9 Base chest so maybe it was enough).
I know that the G8F version of Fit Control has a couple of morphs to improve the way clothes are drapping aroud a chest smaller than G8F. I don't remember ever needing to check if the Genesis 9 version does too, but to be fair, as long as a piece of clothing is not pleated, I now know how to create a custom morph with Blender (I'm not at the level of PAs, but it's usually enough as a starting point for a simulation).
I picked up Undine Hair and thought I'd give it a spin: https://www.daz3d.com/undine-hair-for-genesis-9 -ended up using some custom hair shader settings with it.
I'm still extremely miffed about all the gallery links being broken, but because I feel the forum suffers for less art, here's a fairly simple one making use of Rabble Rouser for G8F (which has been hanging around in my library for ages) and Willow Pond (which hasn't).
And some time ago for Daz Slackers I rendered the "I knew it" scene from Avengers:Endgame. More recently, I came to the realisation that if I was going to dress Jade as Captain America, there was a much funnier scene to do, and City Office Block was co-opted for its first use out of my library to help recreate the skyscraper interior I needed:

I'm going to take the opportunity to review the Brenn outfit here. While the G8F version seems functional, the G9 version is supplied with an non-standard base pose, as evident if you load it without fitting it.
While it correctly follows poses if fitted, the fact that its default pose does not correctly match G9's silhouette means that DS's morph auto-transfer will attempt to copy morph shapes from the wrong parts of character shapes, and the resulting fits can be really poor (as demonstrated here on a standard version of Beverly for G9) for any morphs that aren't explicitly supported on it:
This particular problem is something I have a tool kit extremely well tailored to fix; adapting things to shapes they weren't originally intended for is what I do. Nonetheless, it still took me some time to correctly adapt the clothing and all of its morphs back to work on the correct G9 base pose (at which point it does then correctly follow non-standard morphs).
This has been reported as an issue to Customer Support, although it's been a few weeks since my initial report and nothing has been heard back yet.
I will note that this does not appear to be a consistent issue with the vendor's outfits (I've looked at others I have, and they do not have the same error), so I believe this is probably an error from early on in G9 and trying to adapt the same mesh to support two generations. However, still one I think should be rectified.
(I would offer CS my modified version to save the need for the vendor to redo all the same steps to fix it, but I'm doubtful the offer would be accepted).
https://www.daz3d.com/european-style-apartment has given me a lot of mileage... I've used it as the base for my girls' flat, although I've had to do some added kitbashing to make it more American. The fridge is from https://www.daz3d.com/mobile-home, and I was delighted to discover that it is fully functional. The promo pics don't do it justice, so here... share the glory that is the beautiful 70's vintage Harvest Gold fridge, which is a near ringer for the one that was in my house when I bought it (RIP, it finally died in the mid-2010's). The magnets are all resized regular props.
Unfortunately, since the fridge wasn't the same size as the one the set came with, and that set of cabinetry on that side is all one piece, I had to disassemble it in geometry editor and save it into separate parts, then resize everything to work around the fridge. I finally gave up with the height difference and just added a couple baskets on top.
I think the most fiddly kitbash for the kitchen, though, was the fact that I wasn't super fond of the cupboard handles, but if you take the geometry editor to them, it nukes the ability to open/shut the doors. So I had to pull out the cabinets into their own scene, edit out everything except the door, save it, clear the scene, load the cabinets back in, load in the door, resize and position it so it covered up the one that could open/close, parent it, and then add a handle (which came off an end table from an older set, but I'd have to look up which one)

(Pretty much everything is kitbashed to heck and gone. Happy to track down item/alterations if anyone has a particular question though.)
This one involves a something old, something new, so it's fortuitous that SilverGirl has brought this thread back to the front page ... gotta give some love to that stuff that's not so new anymore.
In my case, it's because I buy too much stuff and don't have enough time to do much with Daz, much less methodically test all of yesterday's New Stuff. Here, specifically, I was finally trying out LI Elemental Dynamics - Sand and Water, something that looked pretty cool when I bought it a while back, and now a shocking amount of time has passed before finally getting a chance to try it out late last night. I feel like there's some practice involved to get the water a bit more substantial from a top-down view, and a little less opaque from underwater-looking-up, but the sand is awesome right out of the box. Me being me, I went to bed thinking, could I make snow out of that?
Well, sure. A few seconds of twiddling with a texture file in Photoshop - and a little draping with dForce of the sand ground plane over this Ultrascenery2 scene, and voila, snow.
That's also the new deer and horns.
Honorable mention to the Minion for Daz Horse 2 poses, which makes it possible to use any Daz Horse 2 pose with the new deer.

A general assortment of items I've had sitting around for variable lengths of time.
Lots of scraping my collection for things that could pass for 1970s. Not helped by the fact that the store variously describes such things as 1970s, 1970's, 70s, 70's, "Retro", "Hippy", etc.

https://www.daz3d.com/70s-retro-iray-shaders--merchant-resource
Unfortunately, I have to criticise the 70s Retro Iray Shaders as about half the textures in the set are not seamless. They *could* be seamless, if they were correctly cropped, but they are not, and thus do not loop as you would expect. This is visible on the product page if you're looking for it, but it's something I shouldn't have to be looking for. (And it is fixable, but again, something I shouldn't have to).
- The Bambini clothing had to be heavily reworked with some of my custom K4 to G8 clones, although the geometry is actually generally good, and generally mostly connected, so can be made into dForce. Unfortunately, there's a real shortage of more recent clothing that can be wrangled into being vintage kid's clothing.
- The dungarees (originally from https://www.daz3d.com/3-in-1-dungarees-for-genesis-3-genesis-8-female-s although that is a set I've used before) had to be flared in Blender, but that small change was surprisingly effective.
- The cans of Watneys Party Seven - a staple of any British 1970s party (or so I'm told) - were bungled together from a set of turnaround photos of an old (empty) can that was being sold on a nostalgia auction site. Again, Blender was used, reprojecting them onto a cylinder so I could get a full wraparound texture to use for a render.
I've tried playing with MDD's Lyra, USC2, Planet Tiara and its USC conversion, Roxy Hair and a little flying creature from HH. Then there's the flame it's washing over the stream.
Maybe she'll get to safety in time..
Regards,
Richard
A mix of things I've had in my library for assorted lengths of time, so while some things are relatively new purchases, I'm going to go with this thread for these.

I had some fun dressing up DzFire's Generation 8 Cyborg figure recently, so giving it another shot:

I've kind of wanted to do a slide scene with Water Park for a while, but unfortunately the twisty slides come dry as a bone and I had to do some Blender fluid simulation to create a water flow down them. (Might be talked into packaging it up if others need it, but bear in mind it's just the basic water, not any of the splashes or spray).

And another appearance from my Warhammer 40000 RP character, the diminutive Mira Longbuck.
This one uses Down Deep, which while a fairly direct copy from some streaming series I've not watched ("Silo") seemed like it would neatly fit the interior of a Imperial Hive.
The original materials on the stairs were somewhat disappointing though (in a draft copy, people struggled to tell it even *was* stairs), so I took the time to swap out some textures and model some grate flooring to add more visual contrast. (Again, can potentially be talked into packaging it up if it's useful to others).

Other than that, this was part of testing some content development tools, in this case used to streamline the creation of bend correctives for the G9 version of my character Nicky, who was originally made on G2F but has been ported to other generations since.
Very nice lighting here, and a cool perspective!
@Matt_Castle -- Awesome renders, as always. Would not turn down the water park slide water, if you're so inclined. I have that set, too, and one of the reasons it's still untouched was my needing to figure out how to deal with that issue. I have some splash packs and such, but I couldn't puzzle out the base layer.
The Oblivion Remaster got everyone on about the Elder Scrolls horse armour again, so I decided to break out my Skyrim modding tools and pull out the assets and mash them together for the centaur...
... of course though, as all good Elder Scrolls bandits can tell you, this was a waste of time, because there's no centaur in this image and it must have been the wind.
This could go in the recent buys thread, as the Alchemist's Workshop was a recent Outlet Store buy:

This one is, in a way, dedicated to @barbult, who had a word or two about the neckline of the Olivine dress back when it was released
'Two birds, one stone' still feels better, but 'Two problems, one hat' (the other one being how to fit it on P3D Ursula's hair…) isn't so bad either.
It's an entry for the Daz+ Render Challenge (Theme of July: A Place You Want To Go), 'A new day by the sea' and it's for #4New (outside of Walter, I think every other products are products I don't remember using in a render shared here).
The hat is effective! It is a very nice image overall. It looks great.
Thank you :)
Initially, I wanted to make her use her hat as fan, but it would likely mean using the other hand to place the hat where I wanted, and to be fair, I also had no idea how to make it look like she was using her hat as a fan (maybe with a dFormer), so it would have look a bit silly when here, it's looking like she's interacting playfully with her spouse behind the camera.
