The new SU jeans set is just such a missed opportunity (https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-su-long-jeans-for-genesis-9-81-and-8-female). If you make a jeans and it opens, and you make a really very lovely belt to go with the jeans - why doesn't the belt open, too? Especially seeing that there's tons of openable trousers out by now, but not belts, as far as I can see. Such a pity! I don't usually do NSFW renders, but somepne fiddling with their belt is a highly useable motif in all kinds of settings. Oh, and the belt could have 'hanging over chair' morphs and such. Would have bought right away. Sigh ...
Interesting thoughts about https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-su-long-jeans-for-genesis-9-81-and-8-female
I wonder how much work would be involved with making such morphs for the belt?
And I would prefer a lowrise option. BUT they ARE some good-looking jeans.
Quick morph. I didn't match it to an open shape.
So nice of her to show her friend how your belt works. Thanks for the freebie, @felis!
Cool! What did you do this with?
Attached is a zip with 2 morphs for the belt for genesis 8. One the above image and one the below.
I tried to match the belt to the 2 more open pants, but it seemed not realistic. In one there wasn't enogh place under the beltstrap, and in the most open there wasn't really room for the belt, so I would have to have morphed the pants as well. So I ended up with shape 1, and even that was way harder than the 1st morph.
I am doing my modelling in blender. Doing simple morphs is easy.
That's really kind of you, thanks! One can probably make the long loose end come down with dForce, just making it rather stiff so it won't droop like a wet noodle. - I didn't know you could use Blender this way, pulling the belt out of the buckle, this is way nice!
Thank you kindly!
What tools are you using in Blender to move the belt ? I tried to put the belt of another Sue Yee's outfit back into the loop of the short, but didn't really know how to do it.
In order to move the belt, I move it from one point and outwards. And then repeated the steps, gradually moving closer to the end, as needed.
In pracsis I decided on a pivot point, i.e. from where I would bend the belt. And I set it by making a vertex loop the belt and moved the 3d cursor to selected, and set 3d cursor as pivot point. Then I hide the verteces, as it is an easy way to select the rest of the belt, just by noover over rit and click 'L'. Then unhide the verteces.
Also activated proportional editing (connected only) with a few centimeter so a bend wouldn't be too sharp.
For transform orientation I either use Global, Normal or View dependent on what I found best and then bend the belt.
It might sound like a lot of steps, but it is actually quick, when you know how to do it.
Beside bending it, I a few time translatied part of the belt a short distance..
For the first belt from close position, I could do it with 5-6 moves (I think). You usually wouldn't want to do too large changes at one point, as it might look weird, that the belt would make a sudden turn.
For the second slightly open, I was way higher, as I also had to get the belt to fit in the beltstraps.
I'm really enjoying the hairs cleric and SecondCircle have been creating lately, they've got so much French charm about them and also render well. There's this new one out today, it's so pretty imo: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-cs-colette-hair-for-genesis-9.
Another Broken Dishes set, but I'm waiting for a Broken Bottles set, specifically wine bottle.
In the meantime, could you cope with a broken beer bottle or two?

OK. Just 3 Obj files 1 complete, 1 with neck broken off, needing a label texture & shaders for the glass (see my broken beer bottles). Third model: broken neck with remains of seal around neck. All tex mapping is done flat in the view shown. Label on back will have to be tex mapped with text mirrored. No contents. May work.
When I get my DS machine working, I'll finish them off as DS props with shaders etc.
Regards,
Richard
Thank you so much! I was thinking of shattering at the moment of impact and the shards aftermath, as MattyManx configured his sets, but I can certainly make use of these and the wine bottle in the meantime. Grazie, danke, obrigado, merci!
is the Descend stuff based on something?
I think they are heavily influenced by the boots and clothes of designer Rick Owen (https://www.rickowens.eu/en/US/men/products/ru01e5860loo-99 and and the shoes of Balenciaga (https://hypebeast.com/2024/5/balenciaga-platform-sneaker-summer-2024-release-info). The clothing is similar to their styles too...
Just wondering: who does Anthony HD for G9 remind anyone of? AlFan's characters are frequently based on celebrities, and I keep thinking that I should know who this guy is based on, and coming up blank.
I never watched the Big Bang Theory but he reminds me of one of the characters
He reminds me of Sheldon on the Big Bang Theory, due to the face shape, hair and eyes. But the nose is too big and the lips to full to make it work as a likeness of Sheldon. The artist may not have been trying to make the character look like Sheldon, the resemblance my be accidental.
He looks a little bit Miguel Ferrer to me, but I highly doubt that's who it's supposed to be.
I'm not sure I'm knowledgeable enough right now to do it myself, but thank you for the explaination :)
JW Breast Control Expansion for Genesis 9 | Daz 3D why is this called Expansion? Is there an original one that this expands upon? I can;t find one though, nor is there one listed in the rpoduct descriptions
Well, it does say it has some expand morphs - but I assume it is an expansion of the options in the base figure, since there is some built-in posability.
thanks. I like it overall for sure. Gives a much more lifelike appearance. Yeah, that gravity stuff does work in real life, it should for DAZ life as well. Just as in many poses looking stiff. We don;t just lie on a sofa or even the floor. Our body basically collapses into whatever we're lying upon, other than how our structure holds us together.
I really like the https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-elite-dystopian-squadron though I'd call dieselpunk, not cyberpunk. I don't usually get G9 stuff but this is so gorgeous I'm going to get it and see if it converts nicely.
I do like
The Wandering Way | Daz 3D
not enough to buy it though but I did wishlist it
no shade to the PA but I have enough trees and environments, biomes, programs that do full environments to terraform Mars
still a nice spooky grove is always handy
Looks like it's based on that avenue of beech trees in Ireland, that was used in GOT.
