getting stuff into Twinmotion faces various challenges
that said, the Little Crows sets are easier than the original Black and Red Crow sets
Very nice overview of this new set - well done.
Main Street USA
road decals may need fixing, accidentally consolidated with another material and only noticed after rendering
... update ...
... actually lots of decals need fixing and once materials have been consolidated that's impossible on meshes with many surfaces
I will need to start from scratch
ironically the road paint was easy
Twinmotion and Unreal Engine can be frustrating at times
redid it from scratch
not a Twinmotion render but a gripe
Why the heck does one Genesis 9 FBX import animated but another one doesn't
in any version
I am so baffled and frustrated by this
they are even wearing identical clothing just different characters
yes, are both animated, import into Carrara as FBX animated even and that's fussy
some Petipet sets in Twinmotion
Nice, more than half an hour of entertainment.
thanks
a few more since but I don't just upload everything so picked out some
Been watching some of these on and off over the past few weeks. Twinmotion looks like something that would be super-useful to me, but it being based on Unreal Engine probably means my GPU fans would be on permanent overdrive. I wanted so bad to get into Unreal Engine, but on my useless card, the fans were going full blast with even the basic default scene it had at the time, which I recall was nothing more than a table and two chairs.
Will have to take a look at Twinmotion when I get a new card sorted, cause I do like the idea of a live-rendered viewport in a program specifically designed for moving around an environment with full control over the camera.
its the assigning textures that is tedious
otherwise I love it
Oh I can handle awkward texture assignments. But what I cannot handle is being sat next to what sounds like a jet plane about to take off, just because there are three low-poly objects in the viewport :-D
That's how bad Unreal Engine was on my system. I don't blame the software though, I blame the card now that I've come to learn what an absolute dud it is.
Do you get that with Twinmotion, or is it relatively quiet?
depends entirely on how heavy the scene is
it is a lighter load than Unreal Engine though
Well, even that's better to hear than what I was getting.
Cheers, will definitely take a butchers at it.
