The hydrangeas we're used to seeing are the rounder type.. so probably just more northern variation.

Yes, it was quite fun seeing the different colors, petal variations, and forms. They are really an outstanding addition to any yard. People change the colors of them too. (Has to do with acidity)

I like that circular skywalk. Those clouds are really nice. We do have a hydrangea in the front yard. My mother gives it minerals... Iron? To make it change colors

I really like them too :) Hadn't commented sooner because I'm out doing yardwork (it's 83 degrees, I picked the wrong day to do it. Cooler the rest of the week, but not much)

Wondered where you went tjohn :)

I'm working on my G2 Females for my catalog (screenshots) and I'll share some overall thoughts on some gals when I get a chance. (Such as the tatoos, eye makeups. One has both black and brown eyebrow options- really cool.)

Water with Epsom salts dissolved in the water to change the color is what I've always been told. I would love to have a couple of hydrangea bushes.

FW Roisin HD for Victoria 6 (Fred Winkler Art / Fisty and Darc)
Arleya Dress for Genesis 2 Female(s) (Nikisatez)
Char Hair (Daz Originals / Goldtassel)

Roisin is easy to light (still using the Sci-Fi Circular SkyWalk light set, plus one distant) and looks good from all angles. I like her eyebrows!
This is a big render, click to enlarge and click again and take a close look at them. Nice, individual hairs where the brows start. As you know, I hate the look of painted on eyebrows.

Arleya Dress has really nice textures, and Char Hair has a good flow, not crinkly.

    Hello
    please a question here:
    About layout fixed for kindle:
The images and text are merged before the image editor of choice?
scene and text are transformed into a single image, right?
    my text editor is LibreOffice
    thank you

    Hi, Novica thanks
I am using LibreOffice, and that exports, among other formats, the .odt format
And then converts it to kindle using Alkinea
    http://soft.alkinea.net/index.html
But when it comes to images, and then the kindle, if you increase the font size, it kind of shuffles things
those posts of scotjohns it indicates the use of fixed layout for ebooks containing images:
    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/44327/P315

my doubt is, will a fixed layout, it's like a scanned object?

    Hello,Thak you Novica
    okay
I've been all week on top of that, and I read several times said of scotjohns, as well as other sites, but nothing new in these sites, it seems to me that the scotjohns tips is the most comprehensive view so far, at least is what I think.
Now ... Try to learn / understand the language: HTML or CSS, this seems an animal of 7 heads !! This is to me like trying to read Aramaic (and I only speak Portuguese), I do not have InDesign ... But then all, I think I can go with the Kindle Kid Book Creator, even.
Even if KKBC is very basic as stated, but it seems it goes well for images and text merged into a single image.

Let me tell you what I do remember from several months back- although I subcribed to Photoshop via the Cloud (which is the only way you can get it now) for Photoshop and InDesign, I found out that InDesign causes broken code. It's better to use DreamWeaver. I did buy Scot's books which has exactly the code you need to set up the Table of Contents.

Another person who is using a different program is Totte. He had managed to get his book formatted, so you might want to PM him.

    Hello

    About layout fixed for kindle:
The images and text are merged before the image editor of choice?
scene and text are transformed into a single image, right?

If at all possible you do NOT want to combine your text and images. For the best customer experience you want to use a background image with overlaid text, so that the reader can access the dictionaries, search functions, text-to-speech, and other features that make ebooks so great. If you put the text in the image none of these can work. This is just like a scanned object, as you mentioned.

Of course, many books do use just images, and you can if you want, but I highly recommend using text layers if possible. Also, when you create a fixed layout, the size and position of the text and images cannot be changed by the reader. This has both pros and cons, which are too complex to discuss fully here. But if you want to present a page layout in a specific way then fixed layout is the only solution. The drawback is that the pages cannot be viewed well on small devices like smartphones, since the text size cannot be increased. You can create text pop-ups that show larger text when double-tapped, but that may or may not be something you want to do.

It does take a lot more work to do fixed layout, even without complex features like pop-ups, but I have written a complete tutorial on the subject that can be found on my website, as well as a much more detailed book that you can buy if you want to get really creative. There are also two templates available that you can use to build you own project, one for an ebook with just images, and one that has text and image layers. Complete instructions are in the book and tutorial.

I've never used LibreOffice or Alkinea, but neither of these are necessary for creating a fixed layout Kindle ebook. You can export from LibreOffice to an HTML file and use that as the basis of your ebook if you want to, but it's really easier just to create one fixed layout page file (or use my template) and then simply copy and paste the text for the next page into a new copy of that file, changing the background image for each page. Fixed layout ebooks require one HTML file for each page in the book, since each page has to be laid out individually, but they are basically the same otherwise.

I also do not recommend KKBC or InDesign, since you have little or no control over the code, which means you are at the mercy of the program, and updates and support can change at any time and destroy your file. Learning HTML/CSS can be a bit of a challenge, but you only need to the very basics, and I cover every bit of it step-by-step in the tutorial, and it's all in the templates for you already; you just customize it to your own layouts.

All you need to create a fixed layout Kindle ebook is a text editor and zip program. These tools are discussed in the tutorial. Ultimately, it depends on how much control you want to have over your content, and how willing you are to learn how it's done. Once you know exactly how an ebook is made, you can make an ebook be anything you want it to be!

    Best of luck.

Oh, by the way, my formatting book is currently on sale at $2.99 from it's usual price of $7.99. Probably for two more weeks. Spring break special!

So anything Genesis? I have more than I need..but when has that stopped me when it's 70%?
Here's a couple things I hadn't really looked at before, and after reading what you can do with them or what's included, thought I'd share my "finds" with you. (And feel free to do likewise)

    http://www.daz3d.com/jammin-just-real-jeanz-texture-bundle
You get the jeans and the bundle, and you can mix the buckle and belt options. That's kinda fun! What caught my attention was the different lengths- cargo pants, short shorts, regular jeans, etc. If you want a variety and need to fill scenes with people, then this one product could help you out a lot! Only $5.39 if you have two new releases (I'm getting the fort and the pistol poses.) Fun texture patterns too. Also note you get ripped pants so you're in style!

    http://www.daz3d.com/yuriko-hair ($5.69) (w 2 new releases)
    http://www.daz3d.com/yuriko-hair-expansion ($3.88) ((w 2 new releases)
Take the time to read what the vendor tells you in the thumbnails. By changing the transparency of some of the sections, you get an entire new look. And the pins and fancy parts in the hair can be hidden individually, and moved because the pins have 6 bones! (Really neat feature- not static!)

    http://www.daz3d.com/asian-persuasion ($3.40)
    http://www.daz3d.com/asian-persuasion-textures NOT ON SALE
Pajamas? Nope. For this price, grab it and use the top for a regular shirt in your Asian scenes! (Or the bottoms.) Have an Oriental restaurant? These tops would be great for the staff. You get the gist. Wishlist the textures, they aren't on sale.

    http://www.daz3d.com/quickwind ($5.98)
Another of the "don't let the main promo fool you" products. This sucker has a skirt too- which, if you use pants from another product, would be a gorgeous kit-bash as the skirt is irregular. LOVE the sleeves. Look at the 6th thumbnail, where she is sitting side view, with the rust and white outfit. Gorgeous! This outfit is family friendly regarding the cleavage, and full booty coverage. You can use some or all of the pieces to get totally different looks.

    http://www.daz3d.com/celestial-poses-for-victoria-5-and-michael-5 ($3.89)
These poses would also be good for emperors, people in great thought, etc. Also has 25 poses for Epic Wings. Remember, you don't even have to keep the exact pose- use them as a starting point. These have excellent kneeling poses to get your character down to the ground.

    http://www.daz3d.com/before-poses-for-genesis-v5-and-m5-bundle $7.49
Oh what fun- you get the bathroom scales with a dial rigged to spin, you get soap and morphable soap to decrease in size with use (nice touch!) a sink with morphable water out of the spigot. All for $7.49. :) And some of the poses can be used elsewhere. The pedestal sink is quite elegant, use it in fancy homes.

    http://www.daz3d.com/chelsea-boots-for-genesis $3.88
Many of us don't wear the traditional cowboy boots when we ride horses- the important thing is it must have ankle support and heels. For western scenes, these have the "look" of cowboy boots, and can certainly be used for in-the-saddle scenes. I think they'd look stunning with jeans.

    http://www.daz3d.com/angelic-dynamic-gown-for-v4 $3.89
    http://www.daz3d.com/angelic-dynamic-robe-for-m4
    http://www.daz3d.com/angelic-dynamic-bundle-for-v4-and-m4
    http://www.daz3d.com/angelic-dynamic-robe-for-k4

This one is also available for the males and you can get both in the bundle on sale- really a must have if you want a good basic flowing robe outfit. These were discussed as invaluable for different cultures- use Fabricator / Totally Bazaar and away you go! (Someone was looking for this for Palestinian or Mid Eastern wear, can't remember.) Available for K4 too.

So if you find anything you'd like to share, feel free. These are ones I didn't own, didn't look through what I did. Off to do Saturday chores. (BTW, I see some of you East Coasters got 2-4 inches of snow. Wow. Another 85 degree day here.)

Don't forget to put this in your cart if you have two new releases, it's free.
And remember to check Fast Grab as they have been changing it. I sometimes forget to look because it can sit for days, almost a week, without changing and then they'll change it up in one day. I missed Canal Street as I didn't come back to my cart that evening. Ticked me off.

They've updated the graphic so it now says that PC items are excluded.
By the way it stacks beautifully with the MM Newly/Still Mad items and today's PAs - just goes a bit crazy with the arithmetic if you add in any of the 90% offer or the HD add-ons, so avoid that for the maximum savings.
