Friday night the weather report said there would be a little snow on Monday but it wouldn't even accumulate much, if at all. Last night, Comcast blocked the channel I watch half way through the newscast, and just before the weather report comes on. Just now I saw a report on CNN that said we're getting a huge blizzard and they expect 12 to 24 inches in my area! That's a drastic change in two days.

    I hate the winter!

Morning. Gentle rain leaving a shine on roof and paving and turning the city skyline all misty and glowy as an impressionist painting :)

i haz to go get food in case power goes. everything i have on hand needs boiling and simmering.

prolly should do laundry mat, too. 'plaint

...definitely stay inside and get out all the blankets you have.

Is there a Subway nearby? The one by me does a 2 footlong deal for 10$ on Sundays. Get a big bag of crisps and stock up on whatever drinkables you like. If you have an ice chest get some ice to keep things cold. For the week my fridge was out a couple years ago, that's what I did. Fortunately it was cold outside so I kept the chest in the entryway stairwell.

At least it hasn't been like last year where it was one snowstorm after another...after another...after another....

two bags of frozen kale in my freezer. and frozen samosas, i should cook those, spicy enuff on a frozen day

oil heating, so i shouldn't freeze to death

used to have frozen samosas :P

Complaint update: Now the expectation is 18 to 24 inches in my area. that means the low end is deeper. And wind gusts down the Cape will be hurricane force. Around here in the upper 50s to low 60s mph. So, heavy snow and branches down. If you don't hear from me on Tuesday or Wednesday, it's because power went out.

some of these free games that I downloaded are so boring and repetitive. I'm going to create my own 3D comics after my eye improves.

Thanks. I really hope the power stays on here. If it goes out, we have no heat. I'll have to drag my guitars into my car with us and stay in that with the heat on. The front seats are heated, too. But I'd rather stay in the house.

All they've talked about on the news so far is the coming storm, and the coming football game. Oh, and the Hernandez trial. I didn't watch the whole thing, though. I'll be heading back downstairs in a short while to finish it.

End line from that encounter in the book. Three children and 7 grandchildren--I have several Seuss books memorized and used to surprise my high school students by quoting them.

my brother sent me a link to a video on Youtube that tips for job interviews. Only problem is the presenter is talking outside with the wind blowing. Can't concentrate with all the background noise. Why didn't the presenter record the video on a calm day or inside??
