I wish I would have thought to do this sooner, before I started taking things out of the cart. I'm going to show you what's left in my cart through the R's that I am going to look at for buying. I'm doing the RARE thing of going through each letter of the alphabet. I am doing every vendor, and it's good to see the vendors who don't immediately come to mind, and what they have. Let me discuss a product too-Ye Olde Library Note it has a unusual, circular hallway. I also like the bench seat in front of the window.
These go 65% with a new release (not just a release from today.) So here's some to maybe take a peek at, if you're not going letter by letter. Again, I already whacked about thirty from the list. I'm not getting most of these, obviously, and many are already in the wishlist. Going to focus on sets and props, particularly from vendors who don't go on sale often. (SO BE SURE AND LOOK WHO THE VENDOR IS WHEN YOU CHECK THEM OUT.)
So do you have any suggestions? What are you buying?

I don´t have Shaniquah so I don´t know about her specifically, but I find the ITF Teeth Scale All morphs from below freebies really helpful to correct (sadly common) tooth deformations. Quick and easy fix!

This is how Shaniquah's teeth look when you load the G8F character.
Yikes! The ITF product can get rid of the gaps between the teeth but it doesn´t fix the shapes.
@barbult Thanks! I am still whittling my cart down, hate taking things out but if I can't use it right away or in the near future, I'm no longer buying things to have "just in case." She got taken out of the cart RIGHT AWAY. There's no excuse for those teeth!
Well, these made the cut. I think the Brookside Path and Urban Greens II will be interesting together. I added back in two of AM's animals because they're unique. Note I showed great restraint and didn't buy any characters. :) Hated losing the Attic Bedroom and other sets but I don't need them. I haven't shopped hardly AT ALL this month, so one large order for the month. 65% off, I'll bite. Did you folks get anything?

This weekend, I'm going to devote it to examining my Photoshop plug-ins. I'm even taking a look at the ones already done, as every option can't be explored as I have too many different products to test. So I'm looking at the index on the thread and checking the old posts, seeing what was already covered. I just found a cool wet effect for the Photo To Painting one, and posted it. So keep an eye on the Photoshop Playtime thread here in Art Studio and if you have time, play with your plug-ins and post :)
I hope I stay online long enough to keep doing it, we've lost power already this morning and I'm not going to upload a lot of images using phone data allowance. So far, so good, internet came back. Hope everyone is staying safe who is north of here, you've got the huge clusters of thunderstorms. Round two is supposed to hit a bit later today but right now we're clearing a bit. So back to the plug-ins :)
I really haven't felt motivated to spend at DAZ lately, but I did want to use my PC+ Coupon wisely. I purchased:
Toon Axolotl for Genesis 8 Males as my New Product (Even though his materials are a mess; mixed PBR and Iray Uber) @Serene Night I, too, am using 4.12 and initially had the same issue with the Tail and Gills not taking the Iray Uber Base shader. However, if I applied any iray shader, fabric or otherwise, the geograft surfaces would change. I spent far too much time trying to figure out which setting parameter was causing the issue. Then, by complete chance, I had everything selected in both the scene tab and the surfaces tab, and applying the Iray Uber Base worked for all parts of Toon Axolotl. I deleted him from the scene, loaded him again, and with the same method, the Iray Uber shader applied to everything. It works with his other materials/patterns, as well.

and Skies of Economy Redux - Volume 4 (to push the total over $18 for the PC+ coupon)
I really like CG Boss Zai by Design Ultra Shaders (I have both). The quality is top notch. I like them so much that, when I find another shader that I like the base pattern, I typically note the texture file locations and then use the Ultra Shaders settings with the base, and sometimes the norm map, from the other product.
@Novica stay safe! We just had storms come through yesterday, thankful they didn't cause any damage in my area that I am aware of. @gitika1 glad you got that figured out and im sure Serene Night will be too!
The new Jigsaw Puzzle from Sylvan has 150 pieces! You can move them around and even use your own images. It comes with a table and stool as well and poses for G8. Fun product to use. What do you think?

@charliejudge I haven't rendered most of them, so not much help. I bought a lot of those recently too but haven't had a chance to do any renders.
Another thing to look at is Fast Grab, a lot of clacydarch3d items are there, including this one Clacydarch3d has nice detail and varied props. Just click his name from that product page and you can see what's in Fast Grab at 70% off.
BTW in the featured stores, Fabian is a good price. I really appreciate the vendor doing a closeup of the face (first row, fourth thumbnail) The eyebrows look good (not sticky or lawn-mowered.) You don't need to buy anything to get the 58% off (PC+ member) I'm supporting vendors who do males, and that's almost 60% off and an excellent price. He seems like a typical guy not a model.
I've not been buying much lately, just more interactive licenses for some PA products that will be useful (sometimes I buy them before I even buy the product proper when a good $5 an interactive license sale is going on). I did though buy that very funny Hare by DeepSea. I tried not too but it was so funny.
I use the Auto Exposure Tool on occasion, that's the little box at the top right of the render window with the +/- signs, using a grey cube as my selection surface set at 18% grey, that is 118 or 0.18/0.18/0.18, Base Colour.
To set the tool to White Balance go here in DAZ Studio it is under the Menu: Window/Draw Settings/Advanced/Draw Style/NVIDIA Iray/
It set me wondering if the colour actually made a difference so I set up a scene with three cubes with the base colour set at 118, 192 and 250 with the numbers at 255. These are set with colour settings I found on the internet.
118 is the Grey Scale Card used by photographers.
192 is a medium Grey.
250 because there isn't a pure white in nature.
255 which is pure white.
I added the base Genesis 8 and , for outdoors, the Highlands Preload scene with the fog and mist turned off. The indoor scene uses Spa and Lounge preload scene. Lighting was Sun and sky 21st June at 14:30 in the Northern Hemisphere 56º N -4º W for the Daylight scene, 21st December at 23:30 for the night scene with a Distant Light -- Colour 217; Intensity 89%; Lumen 0.10; Temperature 4100 for the Moon.
I used the front right corner of the cubes for the processing point.
This is the 118 which gave a White Point of 1.00-0.96-0.86

This is 250which gave a White Point of 1.00-1.00-1.00, so did the letters at 255.

The indoor scene gave a White Point of 1.00-1.00-1.00 on all cubes.

To summarise then In that particular outside Environment the colour of the Cube didn't make a lot of difference in the Daylight renders but it did in the Night renders.
In the indoor scene using that Environment the colour of the Cube doesn't make any difference to the White Point.
This is in no way a comprehensive test and probably each environment and lighting will cause different White Points but it was interesting to see.
@fishtales Yes, there definitely was a difference in the night renders!
Are you all looking at the sale and thinking, "Are they kidding?" Get $5 off each category? And for me, the categories have already been picked through so much I don't even look anymore. But $5 is a joke!

I didn't get the invite and it might make it sound like I don't buy much here but I do. I think they must of went out to anyone that buys almost every new bundle.
I got the offer but I haven't seen much to make want to use it. So, still a pass for me.
While I bought all the G8 Pro bundles I've only bought one each of the Victoria 8.l, Micheal 8.1, Cleopatra 8.1 bundles.
