OH-kaaaayyy...a mild rant.
The point of PC+ For a Day for all the time it's been done, is to offer some desirable products that are fairly recent but not new (G3/older G8) or have longterm appeal (environments/buildings by some of the better PAs), to drive sales. This is why it might be the most popular promo type Daz uses.
But today's is the exact opposite. Per the figures dropdown, Genesis (1) is the most recent with most from Generations 3 & 4. There are former RDNA yard tool sets that regularly go on sale for $1.50 and dynamic Poser clothing so old I wonder if it's usable in Poser 11. Some items (50s Dinette Set & Let's Put On a Show) are even frequent flyers in the Biweekly Freebies! There's only a handful that fit the usual criteria--mainly Predatron's contributions, several of which were PFAD last week. (Not that I am sad to see Predatron's back so soon.)
In other words, the current BYOB items are much better deals, and have newer content for the most part than today's PFAD.
Is this another case of someone putting the wrong set of items up that won't be fixed until halfway through the day, like yesterday? Or did Marketing decide "only make 9+ year old models PC+ For a Day" was the best way to avoid repeating yesterday's fiasco ?
Long, (overly)-dramatic sigh...
No, it's been to offer whatever products the PAs feel like offering that day at an insane price.
Well by definition the last "Holidays loyalty reward sale" was last December.
Which presumably in turn is used to drive more sales of said PA's catalogue.
The Weekly Freebie bundle is not free for me in the cart. I'm PC+ AND am buying other new stuff, so it applies either way and yet... It's 96% off, but still ain't free ;).

What I disagree about is the idea that the point of the promo was to offer recent G3/G8 items or older environments. PAs offer whatever they want.
In marketing the point of any sale or offer is to drive more sales - simple.
Please open a support ticket - it will probably be quickest to buy and ask for a refund, since that's just a matter of adding some credit to your account (if you pay that way or consider it aceptable).
newguy has a new product out today. but he isn't listed on the friends of the sale page, and his back catalog isn't discounted.
Dear @Scorpio, I think what you meant to write was - the point of any sale or offer is to drive customers mad with frustration. At least, that is how I read it!
We appreciate everything you mods are doing to keep the sale functioning, but if DAZ is having major issues shouldn't they at least post something about what's going on or at least step forward and let us know directly that they are working on a fix instead of leaving it up to you? Why would they try to run one of their biggest sales amongst such chaos and risk alienating their customers. Also, for a company that operates 24/7/ 365 they should always have staff on to nake sure these sales run smoothly and as advertised .... as the manager of a large hotel that never closes its doors, l I need to be available anytime there is an issue that needs my attention to keep my customers happy and returning time after time, not creating havoc and giving misinformation so they go stay at the competitor and spend their money.
It's this more than anything that I find hard to swallow. In my life I have made plenty of mistakes, but I've found that people are genuinely understanding, IF you accept responsibilty and acknowledge the issue. It's a very simple thing, really.
The shop is totally misbehaving. I try to search for hair, I get the picture gallery.
The dforce string lights (daily special) has not been adding neither extra discount all day when a debut item is also purchased.
@Mark_e593e0a5, I use Smart Content fairly often, but when I was first getting started with Daz Studio, I had no idea there was another way to find my content. In the years since, I've trained myself to use the Content Library as much as possible. Smart Content is supported by meta data added by Daz, not the PA. The meta data supports the organization Daz uses for Smart Content, not necessarily the organization the PA uses.
When you open the Ilias Hair in Smart Content, right-click on any of those presets and then select the menu item to view it in the Content Library > Mapped Folder. In the Mapped Folder of the Content Library, you'll find everything you need to use that product, and organized as the PA intended.
As Ilias Hair is for both genders, you may need to find the preset for the other gender in Smart Content to get to the right mapped folder. For other products that support multiple generations, the same will hold true. In the Content Library, products that support generations are listed under that generation; For example, you will find separate folders for Genesis 8 Female and Genesis 8 Male, with characters, clothing, etc., listed within their folder hierarchy. (This is a "crash course," with minimal information, but it should help you find and use the presets for the Ilias Hair.)
Please take my post as that.. notice that it is being worked on... once and for all :)
So this thread started on October 1st. Here on October 25 we are up to a full 40 pages with well over 1000 posts. A thread for reporting sales errors has over 1000 posts in just 25 days. Think about that for minute, folks. My god. Only Daz can have a 40 page thread about sales errors.
If you cannot get the software to work with your overly complicated sales...maybe that is a sign to not do such overly complicated sales. Just a thought. How many sales have been lost from the combination of confusion and technical frustration by these sales? You have people who had a full cart, but dumped it because the stuff that was supposed to be on sale was not working. You have people who dumped their cart because they were confused by the often vague sales terms. With these daily offers constantly changing, by the time some things get fixed...the sale is over! You have customers who are upset, and have a pretty good reason to be.
Sales are great. Obviously. But at what point do we say this has gone overboard? I feel like we past that point a long time ago. It is fine to have sales, but they do not need to be so chaotically designed. You are confusing too many people, and too many of these sales do not even work properly. Come on. It is time to dial the chaos back.
I have almost exclusively bought from the PFAD list on the days I have bought anything at all, and I have primarily bought from that list because I refuse to be bothered to try hunting for the best discount in a blinding series of tag lines.
I came here to post another issue. The Daily Special is not getting the 65% discount with a Debut New Release in the cart. I have the new Skies of Economy in the cart but the Dforce String Lights are staying at the same $4.99 that they are on the store page.
Yea I do wonder what people will post about when the store works correctly :)
Missing read me's, problems with smart content, the product library still being an advert for DAZ Central, DAZ Central, ....
We'll find something, don't worry...
And there's always high heels on unsuitable outfits, stab-here cutouts in female armour, lack of male clothing, to name a few more ;-)
And because it's not working, instead of a $20 checkout I've bought nothing - because we are forced to link everything up in these ridiculously complex conditional sales.
Originally the "there is always another sale" thread was a positive thread about all the great sales and stackings people found.
Sorry, but I just had to.
“But the plans were on display…”
“On display? I eventually had to go down to the cellar to find them.”
“That’s the display department.”
“With a flashlight.”
“Ah, well, the lights had probably gone.”
“So had the stairs.”
“But look, you found the notice, didn’t you?”
“Yes,” said Arthur, “yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard.”

Is everyone OK? I heard Covid is getting really bad in Utah. The fact that you said “sadly” instead of “unfortunately” makes me wonder...
dforce string lights (daily specials) is $ 4.99 (in cart) for me, so I guess no 50% off here ?
Irked that it took so long to get the Friends discounts sorted, as I missed out on stacking for an item that I really wanted. I checked out with my (very small) cart early today, because there were still a couple PFAD items that were useful to me and I didn't want to chance them being yanked many hours later with no warning (again). I'm irritated enough that I actually put in a ticket and asked for the difference in store credit. If that is denied then I'll be requesting a complete refund of the product and will happily wait it out until I can pay even less for it during another big sale, something that will lose the company money in the long run. Not a lot of money, but one raindrop raises the sea. It's a few more pennies on the pile of dumped products and carts.
Like outrider42 says, we're forty pages into this thread in under a month. At this point, I'm willing to be petty over less than a buck.
Jack, you're a good egg and definitely the one on the forum willing to admit to problems and mistakes. I respect you, and what you do here. However -- I will believe in "once and for all," when it actually happens and I can see it with my own eyes.
No..no, it's all good.. there's no health issues I'm aware of :)
Good, glad about that at least. But that means it’s fair game for everyone to continue ranting (LOL).

Just for the records: More than once this year I was on the verge of quitting buying here altogether. It just takes too much of my time and patience. I sincerely hope the new store will come soon and will work better. I'm not going to invest so much valuable lifetime in a dysfunctional store another year.
Equally for the records: I admire the mods. They get the brunt of our grumbling. And I admire the PAs. They certainly take more than one no-sales hit from this badly operating store. And still, they continue to offer good items.
