Two hours after turnover and still no progress on PFAD items not discounting at all, and Debut New items not showing additional discounts for PC+/having two or more.

Same here angry. This sale is a mess.

But, progress! They seem to have gotten the new item discounts working again, so now my cart with six PFAD items (a record low) and two new PC+ choices is only $83.08 instead of $85.00.

By Grabthar's Hammer, what a savings.

I would swear by my pretty floral bonnet to dump my cart if this doesn't get sorted and quickly, but unfortunately I have to wait for a texture expansion.

oh well ... 2 SY items bit the dust and removed from my cart... this store is getting really frustrating. Oh wait ... it's been really frustrating for awhile.
Guess what ... we still here and buying stuff, but it's sure frustrating.

    Not for me.

I am consciously and considerably cutting down on my expenditures and support for all of this chaos. The Manfriday Mesh problems (I have the other two products, but was denied the previous owner discount) and the help‘s desk unwillingness to address this issue in a fair way, followed by the SY problems just confirm I‘ve made the right decision. And that was on top of all the other long sad DAZ missteps that prceded those two events.

I am buying stuff only when it‘s steeply (very steeply) discounted. It‘ll take some discipline (having to maybe wait until every year end sale), but I can muster that. Why? Because the savings will be great, I can avoid continually botched sales, don‘t have to deal with the “help” desk, can avoid censoring moderators, fatten my savings account, reduce stress and feel better about myself and life.

I’ll leave chaos to do what chaos does without it affecting me any longer.

Who would have thought DAZ sales were meant to be about this sort of character building...?

The way things are handled are perfect for increasing frustration of even the most loyal customer. Given my last experiences with debut new items, I am really considering avoiding them altogether. E.g. the "Ilias hair", part of the "Kjaer 8 Plunder Bundle" is parctically not useable via SmartContent, as all the files, with the exception of the hair, are mixed up in Lost and found. I have reported that, but still no fix. And that is not the only new release that had issues in the past. In general, QA at DAZ leaves a lot of room for improvement, and I have my doubts that this can be attributed to the store software only.

Well, PFAD items finally have the correct sale pricing.

Now they're not receiving the additional discount for having a new item in the cart that they've received every single other day of the sale so far, meaning my cart is still a few bucks higher than it would have been yesterday, or the day before, or the day before...

And the page is still empty.

    They potentially can be.

All life situations have potential lessons in them.

I’ve noticed there are threads for “DAZaholics” and other folks not being able to get a grip on their expenditures. Maybe my words will help Inspire them to get their wallet and credit card under control. And yes, that would be a character builder for those poor souls, wouldn’t it.

This can be a bit of a catch-22. Historically, year-end sales have only given a big discount if you've spent a lot during the year. If you're not spending during the year, you're not getting the big discounts for that final sale of the year. (This is historically speaking--we never know what's going to happen in a future sale, of course.)

Looks like "Friends of the Sale" still aren't getting discounted properly.

Hm, the "Friends of the Sale" page still lists the majority of items without any discount, and adding it to the cart does also not apply a discount

That's a bold statement... also incorrect which is at least consistent with everything else associated with the Daz sale!

  • Thank you for a welcomed rest for my wallet.

The ultrascenery Australia bundle is wishlisted, same goes for Dalia hair. Might change my mind if Monday offers something nice to make me get two new releases.

PC+FAD holds nothing new not even any G8/G3-product if I see it right. Friends of the sale does not work.

So I picked up the Inka dress and called it a day ;-)

Oh, and NewGuy should think about a bundle of his "Buildapose"-products if you ask me.

Consider me lucky this day. Whatever might have interested me in friends of the sale isn't discounted, so I can relax and not buy any of them.

So "Friends of the Sale" now applies some discount when put into the cart, thus incorrect ones. The extra 10% for debut or still new releases are missing, as well as the extra 10% for PC+ members. And the listed items only show the dicounts if put into the cart.

Not in my experience. Those big periodic sales don’t give a hoot what you spent during the year. Sales in the past were different. Stuff would stack in different ways and there were discounts for having bought a lot, but these days the discounts are only on bundles (if youown bundles).

There have been "loyalty rewards sales" in December for the past few years....

I'm sorry to be such a pain but the two BYOBs can still not be used together, i.e. you cannot mix items from both the way it was intented. Is this gonna get fixed during the day or should I just stop waiting?

Then there should be a real BIG "loyality rewards and appologies sale" this year, with a lot of purple banners for (still) loyal cutomers. DAZ is stressing cutomer loyality quite a bit these days.

  • Hi there!

I went looking through the Friends of the Sale section and found some items I wanted (Steam Buggy, Steam Motorcycle, Dungeon Builder).  They were not discounted on the Friends page, nor their own listing page.  I put them in my cart anyway because sometimes that fixes it, but today it has not. The PC member 10% off didn't show either.  Once I added a Still New item, I saw the 10% reduction for that.

I remember those in the past, but don‘t remember seeing them recently. In either case, after 6-12 months everything gets radically discounted. It’s not necessary to wait until the end of the year. Big sales inbetween accomplish the same thing: huge savings.

PC+ for a day items are pretty old, BYOB not mixing. Probably I won't spend money today.

It's funny that we still don't have 1/2 time sales, will it be next week? If yes, that would mean that PC+ sale and Xmas sale will most likely less than 1 week apart :)

  • Everything we can do, we are.. but there's bigger issues at play here sadly.

    We're doing what we can.

  • Friends of the Sale items are now discounting properly for me in the cart. They weren't earlier.

There are still good sales in December.  The loyalty rewards generally stack with them.

    I don’t fault you.

Transparency creates trust, even if the issues are difficult to discuss. That means not censoring, letting things come out, making amends, improving things and moving on with more coherency.

I have always felt like you are the best mod — given the constrints you work under — regarding these things. Thanks for being who you are!

Why do I have the feeling that the migration to the new sale software will be "interesting".
