Today's featured artist stores seem to be incomplete. For example, when I browse Fugazi's store from the list on the sales page, only 6 items are shown. However, when I browse Fugazi's store directly, many more items are shown with a 40% discount (base for this sale). If I add one of the items that isn't shown from the link on the sales page (eg - messy room bundle) and a new release, it seems to be getting the additional discount.
As a side note, on Fugazi's store page, all not new releases are showing a discount except home props.
Yeah that's weird. All other items in his store are 40% off but 6 only shown. Not related to Daz Deals plugin either.
The 60% Flash banner is still up but the items are not at 60% anymore.
I'm not seeing the correct discounts, either; on the page or in the cart.
I don't know about this offer specifically, but I do know in general, the PAs usually have a say in which products are included in specialized offers.
It has become less common for Daz to feature a complete back catalog of any given PA in a daily promo. In the past, doing so lead to offers stacking that were never meant to stack. Getting 83% off a PAs back catalog, (for example,) might be nice for the customer, but wasn't so great for the PAs income.
Fugazi1968 is featured in today's promo. She (he?) is also featured in the "Take Your Medieval Up a Notch" promo from two days ago. Both promotions offer an increased discount by purchasing qualifying products. As the previous requirement was any new release, anything from today's offer will bump the discount to 60%. If the full back catalog were included in both offers, it would be possible to stack 60% on top of 50% or 60% with the purchase of one or two of today's new releases.
The way it is set up now, you can get up to 60% off, but the two offers do not stack. (Which is how it should be, IMO. I'd hate to see a PA leave for another store, or quit altogether, because they can't make enough money with all the stacking discounts.)
uhm.. maybe the latest promo has discounts higher than what it should be? I don't know if I should oder or not..
Regarding this banner:
I played eenie-meenie-minie-moe with my wishlist and selected the items below; they are shown on the linked page, but no discount:
it's working for me, even more than reported.. the other offer is even better :( big dilemma: listen to the the left dark devil mini me or to the right pure angelic one???? :D
Looks like Daz fixed this issue, as I saw all the odd/wrong discounts disappear; no discounts at all. And a refresh just showed they are all back to the correct discounts! Yay!
@gitika1, Try refreshing that cart. As Daz kicked the store for the Weekend Artists' flash sale, it probably temporarily affected all the discounts throughout the store.
I tried a refresh; no discounts. I emptied the cart and selected 5 different items, same. Like the title says - There's always another sale...
Thanks for responding, L'Adair.
For the attention of the site staff: The "five items at 65% off" flash sale seems to erroneously be working more than once.
(And yes, I suspect I'm going to get some angry PMs about this, but I actually have some integrity. Ultimately, abusing glitches is robbing the PAs of their livelihood.)
The BYO Flash sale should automatically apply. It is "One use per customer," however, and I've already used it so I can't verify if it is or isn't applying.
If that was your first cart for that sale, I'd recommend waiting a bit and trying again. Not only does the site have to update, but so do all the CloudFlare sites. The CF site you're connected to may not have updated yet.
You can also use that screencapture to get a refund of the difference, assuming this is the first cart, and you go ahead and purchase those items.
the other banner brings stuff to 85% discount for me! that's why I reported it, too. it's so hard to resist btw
.
@brvsn, That cart is actually correct. The higher discount on the Armand product is because it's a Daz Original and you are a PC member. Although the discount shouldn't stack with other sale discounts, it will stack with the member discount. I wouldn't buy that cart, though, unless those are the items you want. The offer is one use per customer!
I'm not buying it, it was a test for other user.. the banner description says that existent discounts are not counting, so they should not be stack.. but it's no the first time I'm misunderstanding a daz banner :) and as reported by @Matt_Castle it seems to work more than once..
It may well have before Daz fixed the discount issue with the Weekend Artists' flash sale, but I used the offer and now when I put items in my cart from the banner-linked page, they do not discount further.
That is the combination of Both flash sales, not rare. And yes, hard to resist.
I actually restrained myself from spending too much.
Maybe it was not intended, the BYOB says that excludes items already on sale, but the other one was probably added later and items are usually pre filtered/selected in advance.
Edit: incomplete sentence before, i did bought combined.
maybe, even if he just reported a few minutes ago..
anyway, what about the chart attached? is it higher then what it should be in your opinion?
eh.. :(
My cart price just doubled. Is anyone else having cart fluctuation issues?
Edit - Never Mind. Looks like there was unintentional stacking that is now fixed? Whelp, if it was unintentional I'm glad it's fixed.
It's not like it's in the middle of the night and Daz is not aware of glitches. Since the sale has already been going on for hours, we can only assume all stacking is intentional. Customers should not have to feel guilty for buying something at a good price! If Daz made a mistake, it's their responsibility to pay back PAs,
Sorry I didn't see this earlier, you know, real life and all that… 86% is both the BYO Flash sale stacking with the 4 Hour Flash sale. (That wasn't intended.) The Student Bedroom is a Daz Original and appears to be on sale elsewhere, so the 65% wasn't applied. (I think.)
And it also looks like the first two items in that screenshot are no longer in the 4 Hour Flash sale as there are now three new artists being featured: The Antfarm, IH Kang and Lady Littlefox.
hey no need to be sorry for that ;)
yea you're right, I know.. it's not like I was waiting for the error! just working on daz and received the promo by email.. but stil.. anyway, there will be another sale someday, maybe even better (maybe without glitches!! :D)
The stacking it still working, what changed is the 4 hour flash sale; now there is a new one with other artists and it does stack with the BYOB that also still works after making one purchase.
My initial purchase was of only 2 items, so i don't know if it is just counting up to 5 items or the limit is not place.
the BYOB excluses items ALREADY on sale. The four hour flash sale items are put on sale AFTER the start of the BYOB... so I'd say working as intended?!?
And if it's a mistake, afaik DAZ will make up for any potential losses the PAs might have...
could be intentional but I'm not so sure.. I could have bought the sweet home wood bundle for half of the lowest price it always had.. same with Ispirazione and other stuff I tried.. and this last one is also pretty new item..
The new banner image for "Flash sale july 7th all" is broken.

Hmm, the sale on Kayo 8 acts weird. I one buys the Pro Bundle with 4 add-ons, one is supposed to geht $15 from several categories plus 70% on up to 8 items. Problem is that a lot of products are in more categories so I am currently only able to add 1 product for 70%. If I add more that the price jumps up to no discount at all.
