Streets of Ancient Rome + Interiors

Hey all!
Other than the truly epic Colosseum by Protozoon and the Roman Atrium at the other site, are there currently any products available in Ancient Roman style, such as perhaps a Stonemason-style "Streets of Ancient Rome" and/or an interior set of an Ancient Roman home? I'd like to do some historical renders in this period, but I'd also think such products would be attractive for those who want to do fantasy renders in a Roman-style (or sci-fi renders that are a bit Star Trek OS "Bread and Circuses" ep lol).

Well, there's the very, very ancient Summer Siesta I bought... good grief, over 15 years ago? That's in Poser format, so it'll need to be completely converted, and the texture maps might not be all that suitable anyway for a render engine like Iray. I'd definitely go for something a bit more comprehensive than half a room.

All great suggestions! I'm considering picking up the Platea set + add-ons while they're on sale. Currently, I think they're the closest to a (rich!) Roman home in appearance, although sadly it only provides exterior. There is a beautiful "3D Ancient Rome Environment" set by an artist called Dovlex. However, while the full set does come in obj. I'm a bit hesitent to pick it up for $75 in case it doesn't import well into Daz...

If I'm remembering correctly from when Content Paradise was around, Meshbox had quite a few buildings and cities from the ancient world, and I think Rome was among them. These models are slowly being posted on Renderosity (I'm eying the Orc and Elf village sets after waffling over buying them before CP closed); they might also be available in his Miyre store.
edit: Checked the Miyre store and seeing sets from ancient Israel and the tower of Babel. Some of his fantasy architecture (Temple of the Wolf, for example) have a Roman design. Maybe I'm remembering another content provider on CP selling a Roman city and various buildings; I really wish Rendo had inherited all CP's content.
I know there is a set for iClone but AFAIK it's only iC7 and I have iC6 so no good to me either

@Leana: I've seen some Poser products in our store that also include DS mats. But what shader do you recommend for Poser products that only come with Poser mats?

i looked on turbosquid and cgtrader, and there's not much there either. Even high cost sets look kind of lame, and you would need to populate them with lots of scene dressing to make them look good.
There are some cool props and individual buildings on cgtrader and turbosquid, but to make something equivalent to a stonemason set would be difficult without spending a lot of money. Also time consuming to put it all together.

Hopefully a PA will come across this thread and feel up to the challenge of taking us all to Ancient Rome in some capacity
Obviously, what do I know, but I feel like the kitbashyness (definitely an actual word) of Ancient Rome across so many genres would make these products good sellers. Hey, since Daz3D are moving into the arena of buying and converting 3D models (see Underbelly) they could even pick up one of the great products already on the market that has been highlighted by people in this thread. Who knows!
Well I mainly use 3DL and tend to do my conversions manually, but I've read that RSSY 3DL to Iray converter is a good starting point to convert Poser materials.
Another option is to replace some materials by Iray shaders. Ancient Roman buildings used marble, plaster, stucco, and their variation of bricks and concrete, so shader like these could work for example:

Kitbash3D has a Roman Empire set. The price is a rather eye-watering $200, but they do have periodic sales with discounts as high as 50% (I think they tend to have one toward the end of the year). Another issue is that for some reason best known to themselves, each of their kits ships as a single gigantic file that contains all the assets making up the kit. So before you can even start working with it, you have to haul it into something like Blender and save out the pieces you want to use as individual files. And after that, you'll probably need to spend some time tweaking the materials to get it all working the way you want in DAZ|Studio.
Still, depending on your workflow and your level of patience, this might be something you'd want to look at.
Some Photogrammetry scanner really needs to go to Nu Boyana Film Studios and just scan everything there.
I'm a 3d modeler. What exactly do you need? I don't know anything about rome but if you point me in a specfic direction maybe I could wipe something up.

What a generous and exciting offer you've extended! Are you planning to become a Published Artist in the Daz store?
Personally (and other people might have other thoughts) I'd love to have a Daz-ready ancient roman home (additional links: 1, 2, 3, 4) which could for a smaller undertaking just be vignettes of different areas/rooms, or as a larger undertaking as three products (interior, exterior, and props) with a bundle buy option. That would definitely be an instabuy from me!!
A "Streets of Ancient Rome" product would also be amazing, but would obviously be a partial section/representation a la Stonemason's Streets of Tuscany etc. Quite a large undertaking though, so certainly wouldn't ask anyone to take it on unless they really wanted to make it

@lana_lass ???? That seems massive. I use to model cars as a kid. Got really good. Thing is if you model a car you can model a lot of other things, LOL. I'm new to DazStudio so I'm still learning how assets are built. Are assets suppose to be low poly, high poly, or both. Not sure how well it would sell, don't want to spend 100 hours and make peanuts. How popular are these packs?
What do you guy do with this stuff, lol. I look around this place sometimes and its like what are you guys doing with this stuff, lol. I started using for some quick concept building.
It's certainly on my list...I've been to Rome a couple times and loved it,
there's a lot of things on my list though..so don't hold your breath :)

So cool to hear this is "on the list" and even if it's low down on the list, haha, it will certainly be worth waiting for! Your work is incredible and whenever it arrives it'll be amazing to see your interpretation of Ancient Rome 
@Kennfletch, lol, sorry for confusing you! Yes, as I acknowledged previously this would be a large project potentially, or it could be smaller if you just approached one aspect of it (a street corner, a single room etc) but it's perhaps not best for a first foray into being a Daz vendor/PA
But I really can't comment too much on that as I am not a vendor/PA myself. You ask how popular these packs are and I'd say they are popular. Stonemason is arguably one of the most popular artists in the Daz store (0.5 second look at his astounding creations and you'll know why!!) and he specialises in environment sets... But if you're looking to get a wider view of what is and isn't popular, I'd recommend speaking with those who are vendors/PAs here and looking at the "Most Popular" items in the Daz store

Are there any actually blueprints or dimensions for these homes? Can't seem to find any. Height... I see floor plans but nothign concrete.
