Th B&W gives it a realistic effect
Melissa is a good 3D artist! She makes wonderful characters!
Awww, thank you!
B&W always adds some sort of realism to a 3D pic. Perhaps thats the reason most of the movie CGIs are shot in low light or monochrome settings of few lights on single color..
You deserve appreciation for the type of works you have showcased. It may take me ages to reach that type of CGI creation level..
I've only been doing this for two years now...before that I hadn't even touched anything 3D beyond a Skyrim mod.
I loaded the G8F base, then dial-spun in 35 different female characters for the head & body as a different base from which to shape from. The skin I used is from P3D Poppy for Kanade 8.
Having fun mixing characters/morphs. I tried to use the dirt LIE from Leony but for some reason it didn't show up much. Most of this is from https://www.daz3d.com/leony-character-clothing-and-hair-bundle Started with this character https://www.daz3d.com/jaelyn-for-kanade-8 and played a lot with morphs. Updated the old Neo Stop with different Iray shaders. (Ugh, spell check keeps changing iRay to Iraq lol! )
You are doing Good! Following you on Deviant Art.
All other arts are also nice. Its always a trial and error situation in DAZ. We need to keep experimenting.
There are so many crazy good renders here, it's quite intimidating seeing the insane quality you can all achieve which I can only dream of! That lighting and the iRay-ified Neo Stop @Wonderland just.. wow!
So I thought I would share a comparison of where my image started to where I ended up (in no way was this inspired by teh fact I had literally watched Terminator Genesys before firing up Daz Studio....)
So, I set up my scene and initially had spent more time getting orestes electromancy looking like I wanted in iRay (as I don't have the iRay version yet!) - it meant I ended up with quite a "flat" and "meh" image:
There was no "urgency" or atmosphere to it.. and I wasn't happy with the hair on either character to boot, so I went back to the drawing (well.... lighting) board and increased the desnsity on the Atmocam atmosphere and for some reason, I decided to try using lighting using the iRay Rim Light Rig to some results I was pleasantly surprised with and finished with a Ghost Light behind the camera to balance the foreground. There is a LOT that I'm sure could be done to improve but from where I'd started I was quite pleased at getting to the point I did:

A quick one trying out HD Volumetric Clouds with Terradome 3 and CS Dimetrodon. Lighting is Sun and Sky Only.
Everything has been tweaked in Iray as I just can't leave things as they are :)

Nice work. Looks very photo-real.
That's beautiful, Arks. Excellent work. Did you get the blurred forground figure by using the depth of field setting in the camera?
Just carrying on with some quick setups using things from my Runtime.
This is Planet Teros, for the rocks, Rigged water Iray 2 for the stream, water volume 03, and the small waterfall, pour 03, and Panthers. The lighting and background is an HDRI.

Thank you tkdrobert and lamoid. And yes, thats the way i got that blurred effect. I set the focal distance with a pretty narrow F/Stop value, around 30-35, on the Center of the Backround Character.
Here is a Wonder Woman render that I thought I would give a go.
When HowieFarkes' Ultrascenery product was first released, I was too busy to play with it. (That didn't stop me from buying the addons as they were released, though.) This is the first scene I created that I really like. It uses a feature from one addon and an ecology from another. The mountains in the background were created with the BZone prop from TerraDome 3, moved extremely far away from the Ultrascenery terrain. Lighting is with the sun node. I rendered with Draw Dome off and added the sky and clouds in Photoshop. (I really love this script!)

@TesseractSpace, To embed an attached image, you need to save the post first, then "edit" your post. Until the comment is posted, there isn't a url for the attachment. Once you've posted, you can copy the link of the attachment and paste that into the Image properties. (Click on the small icon that sort of looks like a photo of a mountain with the sun in the sky.)
You can embed any image link, but I personally recommend only using images on the Daz servers. If you post an image to the Galleries, you can use those links, as I did with the image in the post just above yours.
This started off redoing the shaders on The Old Railway and the Thumper to change them to Iray and it grew into something else.
