Here is an "out of the box" test of Lorne, and the Incognito outfit. The coat still intersects with the boots with dForce or parameters... The legs are not that far apart. Easily fixed in post, but still... Otherwise I like theoutfit and character. Love the boots!

Glad you like the outfit :)
There's a couple of ways to fix - the shin handles should take care of most poke throughts there. You can also try selecting the left thigh bone in the dress and use the parameter dials to adjust it slightly. There is also using the push modifier layer in the coat to paint it out with a weightmap.

Thanks, for me it's just as easy to use the Photoshop clone brush, because I bring everything into Photoshop anyway, but good to know! laugh

I find it interesting that most of you are dialing out Josephene and shooting towards making a highly beautiful and attractive character instead.  Hopefully DAZ gathers this feedback and strives to make characters more attractive rather instead of plain/normal looking. It's hard to make a normal character beautiful, but easy to make a beautiful character normal/plain looking.

The time it takes to make a highly attractive character can take weeks, so if DAZ could just make them beautiful by default, it would save a lot of time.

Probably the biggest reason why I keep hoping for Lilith 8. There are many normal characters, and even some beautiful ones, but still no too-perfect-to-be-human vamp like the old Liliths. The optional horns, tail and vampire teeth emphasized that she wasn't natural, but, they were optional. Even without them, they were great characters to convey the sense that she was "too good to be true", and that there was something unnatural going on.

No love for Zaida in this thread? Very beautiful character with eyes that look very 'alive' to me.
She's almost tempting me to get Jo just for her... almost.
Alas, I already have enough beautiful black female characters.

I haven't made it that far yet. I generally go alphabetically down the names. But I am working towards her. But between emergency maintenance workorders for my apartment, generaly chaos, a snow event, and everything, I actually have had very little time on my render computers for the past two weeks. Frustrating. I have a backlog of characters and things to try out going back to early March!

Yes, same for me...I just bought Josephine, Josephene HD and the Scarlett addon...

The materials are missing icons...tried everything...something's not right...

It's the same for about 80% of my figures atm. Not just one inparticular. Also for props and environments too!

And this was installing through DIM, not DS? Sometime using Connect (that is, Smart Content or Install panes) files will not decrypt correctly (I had to redownload several a few days ago, possibly things that I had originally downloaded when there seemed to be some issues) but that isn't usually an issue with DIM.

It looks like we only got thumbnails for brows and settings under materials.

I installed Josephene through DIm several times...then used a download and tried manually installing...nothing changes the fact that the PNG thumbnails in her materials are just not present...if anyone actually DOES have them (which I doubt) could you post them here..?

  • Additionally, I have also submitted a ticket on this to DAZ...but after 3 days, still nothing heard back...

Three days is not currently long enough for most technical support tickets to be resolved.

Here is https://www.daz3d.com/anya-for-josephene-8 who I also put into the dForce Incognito Outfit and used https://www.daz3d.com/village-courtyard for the scene. Other than expanding the hat to fit the hair as I wanted a full, long hair under it for her, was fun. No issues with the simulation, I actually turned away from the screen and forgot it, and then turned back and it was done. I agree with Wonderland, lovely outfit, great boots.

That is gorgeous @memcneil70 ! I love the way you've got the lighting so bang on that it's really bringing out the fur texture on her hat. Superb!

My thanks lana_lass. I had a great product to work with.

Here is https://www.daz3d.com/bexx-for-josephene-8 and I have her in samsil's dForce Badia Skirt Pack and accessories from https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-panthera-outfit-for-genesis-8-females and https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-accessories-for-genesis-8-females (on her hands and then you can barely see them), sitting on the Xmas Chair 2019 with a pose from https://www.daz3d.com/advanced-seated-poses-for-genesis-8-female. The floor and back panels are from a very old set here on Daz, but for the life of me, I can't find it again! It likes to disappear on me.

Bexx struck me as a very regal lady and I wanted for her render to reflect that. And one that is very tough as needed.

Thanks xyer0. I am back and able to post my new render for Josephene 8. I was trying for the sexy dangerous lady of the 40s to 60s, who was a staple of every action movie.

I didn't buy her bundle or figure because in the promo images the face just didn't look right (not as in ugly but not proportinally correct). I'll consider a figure if the promo images catch my eye. bluejaunte's figures aren't super models, they're normal every day faces I would see in real life (which is what I look for) and bluejauntes' promo images always grab my attention and that leads my wallet to be drained almost immediately. When I'm looking for DO base figures to buy, the first image I see needs to be visually interesting or I pass on it until there's a really good render that makes me reconsider. I bought Kala 8 because her face is unique and her promo images really are great, I can't say the same with Jo 8.

This is Josephene 8 HD. I went for a more normal person. I used the new https://www.daz3d.com/lioness-weekend-cottage, the shirt and pants from https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-lounge-wear-for-genesis-8-females and socks from https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-kitten-dress-for-genesis-8-females (those socks are becoming favorites of mine) and used https://www.daz3d.com/xmas-knits-iray-shaders- on them. Again, another pose from https://www.daz3d.com/advanced-seated-poses-for-genesis-8-female, and other than adjusting the height for the lounge seat, no other adjustment was needed.

Just a shout-out to JGreenlees and sade on their set of shaders. I have found them so very useful time after time. On that note, I collect shaders, may be the most valuable tool in the Daz Tool Box for keeping things unique. So my thanks to all you PAs.

You are welcome @barbult. I used your guidance on using Mesh Grabber on the lounge to slightly depress it also. Forgot to mention that! It was updated recently and works like a charm.

Thanks for the renders of Josephene, memcneil70 & Artini! I don't know why others find her less desirable than I do. I think she's a fabulous creation. I remember similar responses to Tasha 8, whom I was also thankful for having.

Most the characters look like they're family relations in some way. Mainly because of the generation 8 obsession with nasalabiodal folds on everyone..

(someone should make a family tree)

Lana or Lanna 8 who was part of the bundle, but is 'for Genesis 8 Female(s)' so I did her. When I saw her, I thought of Scarlett Johansson from the Marvel movies. I substituted the boots in the Trinity Wolf Suit with https://www.daz3d.com/flat-boots-3-for-genesis-8-females and she has https://www.daz3d.com/caleela-hair-for-genesis-3--8-females. I used one of the poses from https://www.daz3d.com/aki-tribe-poses-for-genesis-8, and adjusted it a trifle so she could balance on the balcony on the set https://www.daz3d.com/china-houses
