Try a set like this with dynamic water and a similar promo render, should sell better: https://www.daz3d.com/sy-rigged-waterfalls-iray

have ta say, that does nothing for me.  lol wink

mebbe niagara falls, maid of the mist, and the color lights they shine on it at night.

    or add river rafting smiley

i bought it to say thank you for the carrara version.

    Thank you, Mystarra.

The Spring is a calm waterfall. But it's coming more, as this one (with a river):

Maybe this has been answered somewhere, but I'll ask just in case. When installing Fluidos, do Mac uses need to follow step three and download the Microsoft Visual C++ stuff?

No, the Microsoft files are only for Windows.

Just an old news post that needs to be updated: https://carraracafe.com/the-fluid-sim-plugin-for-carrara-fluidos-1-01-is-released/ Missing the latest update, the freebie scene and some more renders...

loaded the duf file from the spring ds set  into carrara.

doesn't look like the water came over.  i see the terrain and the tree.

for the water prop all i see is a hot point.

Carrara cannot read the fluidos objects (Domain, etc.) from the Studio .duf files. For the Spring is much better to load the Carrara version itself. You can download here: https://sharecg.com/v/93986/browse/9/Plug-in/The-Spring-Fluidos-preset-for-Carrara

After all, the Spring scene was created first in Carrara.

In the Water planes case, there isn't an equivalent .car file. sad

i'm in the spring preset.  i don't see a completion slider anywhere.

the manual says to add a second domain in the same position as the first one?

hang on, what's these viewer waters?

    that added keyframe markers.

    running simulator.  holding my breath

trying not to fall asleep until i have one success with fluidos.  been carraring 12 hours straight.  didn't play eso at all today.

not comprehending the 2nd domain.  what it for?

every simulation needs water viewers?  is it a primitive?

About the second Domain, are you talking about the Spring manual or the Fluidos manual?, follow the Spring manual, please. You don't need to add a new domain in the Spring scene, it's complete.

The viewers are Domains (or any other geometric object) that have applied a FluidS modifier. If you want to see the water, you will need a FluidS modifier. But remember, the Spring scene already has its required viewers.

You'll see the completion parameter inside the Modifiers tab of the viewers.

Select the Domain, run the simulation and then enable the modifier FluidS in each viewer to see the water and the spray.

Don't let the Spring to dry up! wink

    theres a 168 frames.

i go the last frame, highlight the 2 viewers, each. set the completion slider to 100 on both of them.

now i go to a frame in the middle. new simulation.

    render.  and .... no water

do i run the simulation for each domain?

Set the same folder in Folder output parameter of the Fluid domain (Effects tab) and in Folder input of both viewer (in modifiers tab).

And about the preset, set the file Spring.state in the Preset file parameter of the Fluid domain. This one is in the Presets folder, besides the Spring.car file.

Next, run the domain. There is only one domain in the Spring scene : Fluid Domain Spring.

The domain is ready for run only 20 frames; if you want more (or less), simply change the value in the Number of frames parameter.

Just to elaborate I have used FLUIDOS a lot but no presets

I experiment with stuff I set up myself

I must try it again with my 760 since my 980ti died, I actually think it might go better, I could be wrong but this card handles OpenGL much better I am finding. The fact I am now running one monitor off the motherboard using intel graphics helps no doubt too. I can now actually select both in things like GPU-Z etc

The new Fluidos version will be multithreaded besides the OpenCL.
