    ...ah, apparently nobody cares.

    Fine.

So much for the sense of "community".

I'll just stick to the technical and sales thread if I don't end up out on the street.

    Bye.

What happened?... Sorry, if I missed an important post... the last post I saw from you the other day was “...” which I thought was a response to LeatherGyphon’s post above yours... I now see there were other “...” posts and I’m concluding you removed your posts, replacing them with “...”

    I’m sorry, I missed them...

I don’t know what happened besides what DanaTA alluded to in his previous post... I hope you are okay and you don’t get evicted or end up on the street... I know a while back you had a problem, and I was really hoping you were in a better place now and things were going better.

I really wish I could fix this for you... and everyone here who has a problem...

It really sucks that everyone seems to have some sort of problems... health, income, family or other...

I don’t know what to say... I just spent about a half an hour writing, rewriting and deleting... I’m leaving this as what you see here... words are failing me, and everything I’m saying is sounding dumber than the whatever I wrote before, and none of it would help anyway.

I just want you to know, you are cared about... even though I’ve never met you in person, I consider you a friend... please be well, I wish you the best of luck and the best outcome in your situation... that doesn’t even come close, but it’s the best I’ve got at the moment.

    Be well KK.

Yeah, WTF?  Last I saw from KK was a bunch of issues involving income issues, lawyers, and what appeared to be a quick resolution or at least a glimmer of hope.   Thus my comment  about "glad it was quickly resolved" which now follows his empty post.    Despite appearances, I don't live in this forum and generally don't go backwards to see if I missed anything.  This behavior of getting all pissy and deleting one's posts just because people don't notice a short lived post and didn't rush to his aid, is lame .  Whatever went wrong is probably pretty bad but now we'll never know.  Not that there's much we could do about it other than emit some long distance compassion platitudes.  And just because this is the "Complaint Forum", doesn't mean that we really expect serious complaints.frown  Whatever it is, we're sorry it's happened. indecision

    Mmmm I was going to share a thing I was just doing + give a minor little complaint,  but given the current situation I think it's probably best I save such things for later  ;v;

In Hindi, Tikka is a nugget or cutlet of meat, like “chicken tikka masala”...  Tika (or Tilika) could refer to a forehead marking made of red ocher or turmeric power mixed with water, (similar to a bindi) one receives as part of a blessing at a pooja or at a temple... it is also a type of bolt action rifle (Tikka T3) made by SAKO of Finnland... Tika Tika could refer to a song, Apache Tiki is one sort of metadata extraction software or something, it could refer to a human female name meaning “Flower”, derived from the Sioux language and if you are on Birandor, never shout “rudrox tika” at someone, because in Freylik it is a very rude insult to someone’s heritage, particularly their moms...

Also I’m guessing it’s the new figure Chohole showed a pix of...

I didn't know about Hug A Walrus Day.  surprise  How long has that been a thing?  Do they reciprocate?  Sounds kinky. devil

The indecision icon is labeled as "indecision" but I use it as a "meh" or "noncommittal" or "neutral" indication.  Why do people predict that emoticons are the language of the future?  Can you imagine the dictionary alternative meanings lists? frown

And perhaps it is Genghis Khan's birthday but I didn't get him anything. cheeky

And yes, it's garbage day here too, but I have to take my garbage to the transfer station myself.  It's one of the penalties for living in the boondocks.indecision

But, one of the significances of today is that it is "8 months to Christmas"indecision.  (My aunt would say that on every 25th of every month, counting down the months.  It was just a thing with her and I almost miss it these days now that she's gone.sad)

Yeah, Christmas is not a thing with me, but I think fondly of her getting such a kick out of pulling the same schtick every month when she'd find a new victim that hadn't heard it ad-absurdum.

I really have no idea what most of the emojis mean... I actually looked them up at one point but it wasn’t very productive... mostly Google just gives useless results that lead to apps for more emojis or dumb articles about emojis... I also didn’t really look too long... there is a thing called emojipedia or something like that, but it doesn’t seem to list the emojis like I would... picture > explanation... instead, you enter an emoji and it takes you to a page for that emoji... like foe example, I just randomly entered the crying cat emoji (See Figure 1 below), which contrary to what most people might think, is actually called “Cat Face With Tears Of Joy Emoji” or “Happy Cat” or “Happy Tears Cat”... which has no meaning listed... I figure it probably means “That fart was so smelly the cat’s eyes are watering” or “My cat appears to be really constipated”... but I could be wrong...  other emojis have meanings listed... like “Unamused Face” (See Figure 2) which looks like someone who hears someone sneaking up on them... “A yellow face with slightly raised eyebrows, a frown, and eyes looking to the side. May convey a variety of negative emotions, including irritation, displeasure, grumpiness, and skepticism, as if giving the side-eye”...  I would use if it I were texting someone that I believed I was about to be stabbed from behind...

I seem to have misinterpreted that one too... either way, I’ll be left behind as emojis take over... and yes, I do think emojis are the language of the future...

Why? Because I’ve seen the future and it’s stupid... lazy too... I’ve seen people call three sentences “a wall of text”... people can’t wrap their heads around too much lettering... look at stupid Twitter, and need I mention it’s chief Tweeter and overlord?... people don’t want to think too much anymore, so reading more than YOLWO (You Only Love Wet Otters), IIRC (I Is Really Crunchy), SRLY (Sasquatch Really Loves You), LMK (Lick My Kangaroo), ROTFBIOF (Rolling On The Floor Because I’m On Fire)... (I’m not looking those up, but I think that what they mean), reading more than abbreviations is too much for most people, they get pissy if they have to think, so it’s way easier to peck out an emoji that’s close to what they mean... it really doesn’t matter if other people get the meaning either... as most people tend to talk “at” other people as opposed to “talk to” which requires listening and attention.

I know it’s a very pessimistic assessment, but most people are inclined to take the path of least resistance, and “close enough” is good enough... and if emojis become the prominent form of written expression, that’s probably not so bad... the way (See Figure 3) is going, it won’t be long till we are painting on cave walls with charcoal again.

Also on this day in history: https://www.historynet.com/today-in-history  Notably... "1792:The guillotine is first used to execute highwayman Nicolas J. Pelletier. "  However, they make no mention of what was used to execute him the next time.frown

Why do 15 minutes break seem to be over as soon as I sit down?

Because it takes 7 minutes to get from your clock-in/out point to a chair & table and another 7 minutes to get back. This leaves just enough time to sit down and get right back up.

It's later.  Let's continue the petty bickering. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5CETMV4nz0

Slightly less than eight months to my birfday,  it's on the 8th of December.

https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/774386  ; Anyway earlier I did a thing.  Even after it finished I kept messing with some things for fun, like I tried 3D'ing the saliva at one point.  Not sure about it tbh

While I was messing with modeling that out I ended up finding a camera angle I liked a bit better than the original I went with, woops. Showed more of the room and made it look more like it was actually hissing at someone entering it. Oh well xD

    Two minor'ish complaints:
    1.  Cornucopia3D's still down, after like forever and a day, E-On's store on the other hand, is back up. However, I can't remember my login info and I've yet to receive anything from the Forgotten Password feature, which is concerning me.

    2.  This means that my old installer for Vue 10 Complete is worthless, since I can't retrieve my license from either of the two sites that contain it and it doesn't seem like I ever wrote it down. Similarly, the installer for Carbon Scatter is looking at me with disappointment.

Oh and this actually kinda leads to a third complaint:  I can try the Trial version in the meantime, which they've changed to a "30-days then it stops working" version while getting rid of the old PLE model,  and there I can see if the advanced version is still compatible with my seven-versions-out-of-date Cinema4D or not. If not then I can prob just go with the cheaper version of the program since the only reason I'd want the advanced one is for the intergration.  That being said, the complaint is that while I was reading their FAQ about the new software they mentioned that some, if not most or even all, of your old Cornucopia 3D content might not work in the new software without providing the license it was originally tied to.  A licence I can't access because I can't get into my account in either of the two sites its on.

    Weh.

Also the link earlier seems to direct me to a blank page.  Maybe this one will work better  https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/774386

I gave a review for fish food on Amazon.  They asked me how many stars do I rate the flavor of the fish food.  I have no clue what it tastes like.  I gave it to my fish and they seemed to really like eating it,so I gave flavor 5 stars.  I still have no clue what the fish food tastes like and I do not want to know.  The intended audience of the fish food has no ability to tell me how many stars to give it.

I wish I knew how much battery life is left on my Bluetooth keyboard.

Might as well try contacting their Support and seeing if they can't like, find my email in their records or something, since I've bought Vue 7 ~ 10.  (And used it hardly at all, but that's another topic entirely...)  Funnily enough while I was scouring my iomega storage I found I wrote down the licenses for 7 and 8,  but not for 10 which is the only one I have an installer for.  Joy.

Got no idea what I'd even say to Support though.  "Hey the Forgot Password thing isn't working but I know I bought stuff from you before, is the login-info for the new store like different? Can I still access my old licenses or is that impossible now?"  etc?
