Complaint:  Who designs public toilet paper dispensers and who decides where they are located in the stall?  Tell me you've never run into the TP dispenser that has huge rolls of narrow paper inside a plastic case open only at the bottom where the sharp teeth are to supposedly help tear the non-perforated paper from the roll and the dispenser is located way too low and either too far or too close for you to stick your hand up from the bottom to try to retrieve the stubborn TP end on the nearly exhausted roll.  I don't know about you but my arms don't bend that way.angry  I'd need an extra joint on my arm and a wrist that would turn sideways.surprise   Again I've realized that my arm is not built that way. frownThose people who design and place these damnable things are perfect candidates for the "Mikado" Emperor who will achieve in time his "object all sublime to let the punishment fit the crime, the punishment fit the crime.  And make each prisoner pent, unwillingly represent, a source of innocent merriment, of innocent merriment."

My dual band wireless USB adapter arrive.  The wireless connection is stable now.  I guess my old adapter was starting to go bad after seven months of use.

Seven months of use?  I'd try to get a refund for that.  I've had my Netgear dual band router for years and have no trouble with it.  Maybe you bought cheap?  Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.  Not always, but sometimes.

    Dana

It might be too late for me to request a refund.  I believe the store only accepts returns within 30 days.  Thanks for the idea.  The old USB wireless adapter would disconnect itself from the motherboard.  The ping/latency was bad in an online game.  The speed starts at 144 mbps then goes down to 112 mbps or lower sometimes.  None of the other computers on 2.4 GHz has the same problem except for the computer at the far end of the house.  I bought a $15 adapter from brand that I haven't heard before.

Complaint:  Or perhaps shock! surprise  I went to the mall in my nearest city and saw two more stores gone, and another two having closeout sales, in addition to the anchors Sears and Bon-Ton that closed earlier along with all the other empty spaces that have been there for years.  Then while eating lunch in the Red Lobster in a separate building across the street I complimented the server about how perfectly the fish had been prepared, comparing it to the half cooked slimy meal I'd had at my last meal at Ruby Tuesday's across the street at the mall, the server replied that the Ruby Tuesday restaurant at the mall was closing too.  I knew they were hurting after the new Olive Garden opened down the street but didn't think it had hurt their business so much.  Or perhaps when I stopped going there, that was the straw that broke the camel's back.devil  The only anchor store left at the mall is Penney's and they're on shakey ground too.  Soon, the mall will be able to open up as a rollerblading race track.enlightened  Does anybody rollerblade anymore?indecision

About the only businesses left at the mall are "Office Max", "Penney's",  two or three shoe stores, and two restaurants ("Sakura Buffet" and "5-Guys Hamburgers"), and a two theater multiplex that is only open on weekends.  The '80s are truely dead now.  It just took this backwoods area a while to catch up.

@hacsart: Please don't send it here.  I've had enough snow for a while.  Lately, it's been rain, rain, rain, and then sunny day and then rain.  Actually it's bee every other day, then every day, then every other day.  This weekend, it's both.  Only a little rain today, but tomorrow it looks to be almost all day.  Sump pump has been very active the past couple of weeks.  But...glad it was rain, not snow!

So it is not Charmin brand tp.  At least according to the ads they are the best, but then those ads are paid by charmin.

Soooo... I just found out that Digital I's  tyranno isn't on the DAZ store anymore.  I can't find it and the add-on stuff for it don't mention it either.  Is his entire store gone too?  Would seem so since I can't dig up any of his models now.  Shame since there was one I had wishlisted but never did get around to buying :(

This guy.  He was a cutie I think.

Also seems the model I never got was the Wingless Wyrm.  Did a search in my product library, it's not there.  Guess I'll never own the lil bugger since its not in the store anymore :<

Funnily enough I have Rawn's texture pack for it but not the model itself hah,  must have grabbed it while it was on sale and thought "I'll get the creature itself later"  or something.  Well don't have that chance now :P

Non-complaint:  Music to DAZ by.  I had a little bit of extra energy today and decided that I should probably vacuum my apartment again.  It's not one of my favorite things to do because I only have a small portable vacuum cleaner ("hoover" to the UK inclined people), and I have to get down on my hands and knees and work the rug with a 3 foot hose and 3 inch vacuum head, hoping I don't pass out when I try to get up from the floor.  But I try to vacuum twice a year whether it needs it or notfrown.  (It usually does.)  While I was on the floor making 6 inch swipes with the vacuum head multiple times over each small patch of rug to try to tease six months of grit and dust from deep in the wool pile, I tried wearing my wireless headphones to keep myself entertained during the mindless activity of (OK, I'll say it ) "hoovering".  It worked! Yay! yes  Volume a little louder than usual but I could drown out the hoover noise and hear my music very nicely.  I picked one of my favorite "happy music" pieces.  I've gushed about it previously in this forum but it's worth hearing again.  The piano concerto by Dvorak.  Happy, happy music, all three movementssmiley.  2nd movement is slower but still happy,   And this performance is particularly my favorite performance of it for two reasons,  1) The pianist, Sara Davis Buechner, is so obvious in her delight at playing it.  And 2) she adds a few notes at the very end that cap off her delighted excitement at playing it.  She's having FUN!  See if you agree.

Antonin Dvorak: "Piano Concerto in G minor" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYW6fjvpuNw  Happy, Happy exciting day.

2nd movement: 19:14  slow, & sleepy but restfully happy as you drift off to sleep at about 27:30

3rd movement: 28:30  Then a quick wake up to another happy happy day ending in a burst of excitement and the magnificent flurish at the very end.

Hoover is a make of Vaccum cleaner.    I can actually Hoover my carpet, not because I am British but because one of my vacuum cleners is a Hoover. I say one of because I also have a smally vacuum cleaner which is light enough for me to carry upstairs and I have a wet pickup one to do the kitchen, utility and bathroom areas, which have ceramic tiled floors.

Humm,  "Is coming back"...  That'd be interesting if they were, like... It might explain why his store disappeared. Wanting to start over maybe with a different name?

But ye, I'll toss a mail.  I haven't gotten anything back from Swidhelm, last activity on their page was like two years ago too.  Worst part about all this is that when that stuff disappears, its gone forever.  No way for new people to acquire it anymore sigh.  I'm glad I was able to get most of those cool models though, but it always worries me:  What else might vanish next?

Of course there's always new cool stuff rolling around, but in these parts it's all DUF-only,  so that sort of dampens the joy for me. Sure can always just pose then export, but bleugh. It's just the notion of the dropping Poser compatability that bugs me. Still would buy an exporter/converter if they ever put one up.

Non-complaint:  I finished the BBC series "Dickensian".  Very good resolution of all plot lines.  At the end, everybody is in place for their proper stories in the original books.  And we even determined who killed Scrooge's partner Marley.  Good choice.  yes  I was a little frustrated at the long build up of the story of Miss Haversham but see now that it was necessary for all the tension to finally drive her to the state we find her in in the original book.   I highly recommend this series to anyone who has a passing knowlege of Dickens' works and wouldn't be offended by some artistic license taken with Dickens' characters.
